Zergling Blood N[Av0.68]

This map is the same classic zergling blood from starcraft but on warcraft. It is very similar in many ways to some of the starcraft versions, with some updated effects. I spent lots of time balancing it, so I hope you enjoy.

This map is very simple. You get spawned zerglings, use them to kill off your opponents. Each kill earns you a certain number of points depending on the unit type, and after so many points you earn credit to buy heroes or upgrade.
Upgrades are costly, but last forever. Heroes provide either good protection or can earn you a lot of money, but die fairly quickly and give high bounty for their death. It is advised to get both. More importantly, learn what counters what.

Credits for models are given in the game quests. This map is finished, but I will add more heroes before I release 1.0.

This map is OPEN SOURCE. If you edit it, please leave credit for what I've done and state what you've done.

Features:

™ Armor system that works the same as the starcraft armor
™ Sounds imported from starcraft
™ Lots of imported icons and models
™ Starcraft heroes that do NOT level up like warcraft heroes.
™ Bunkers that have 2 marine and 2 ghosts.
™ Armor/Attack types work the same as starcraft.
™ Over 30 hours of balancing. (Non-Spreadsheet)
™ 11 Unique heroes, all with a separate purpose.
™ 50 Levels of upgrades including:

Infantry Weapons, Infantry Armor,
Melee Weapons, Ranged Weapons, Carapace Armor,
Ground Weapons, Ground Armor, and Plasma Shields

Heroes:

Devouring One - A genetically altered zergling supped up for ultimate destruction. Let one of these loose and your opponents won't know what hit them.

Hydralisk - A deadly silent killer, these hydralisks weren't breed for total destruction, but for assassinations. Use wisely.

Hunter Killer - These vile creatures earned their name with they're deadly strike. Using their speed, they can hunt down almost any foe.

Space Marine - Mostly hardened criminals deployed by the confederacy to keep zerglings in control. Inject them with stimulation and they won't get enough blood.

Medic - Trained and fitted for survival, medics use their knowledge to repair damaged suits not only safe at home, but on the field.

Ghost - Highly trained sniper, skilled in the art of killing. Althought he's slow to move, his high damage more than makes up for it, a true Assassin.

Firebat - A Firebat's suit, built like a tank, can withstand most damage. It's no wonder these flamers were first deployed against the zerg swarms.

Zealot- Armed with 2 psi blades, zealots are among the most dedicated killers in the galaxy.

Dragoon - Once a hero among zealots dies, his consciousness is transferred into a mechanical body, known as the dragoon. Wielding less mobility, the dragoon packs a powerful punch behind a strong body.

Dark Templar - Armed with a single warp blade, these dark templars utilize the energies of the void to deliver devastating destruction. Able to bend light around themselves, they appear invisible, but as a result, have frail bodies.

Tips:

1) Heroes that are slower to attack and can hit only one unit at a time are stronger against heroes that attack quickly/hit more than 1 unit, but are weaker to masses (like zerglings). Likewise, Fast attacking/splashing heroes are strong against swarms and getting money, but are weaker against slower heroes.

For example: a marine can destroy a lot of zerglings alone earning more than his worth with mass killing, but don't try and kill a hydralisk with one or you won't be seeing him anymore. Try and protect your marines/firebats with your zerglings and avoid hydralisks/ghosts.

2) Dark templars are hard to use, I wouldn't suggest buying one unless you can afford to lose him.

3) It may seem more useful to buy heroes over upgrading, however, when you lose a hero, you are actually giving your opponents a lot of money, and they do sometimes die. I would advise getting atleast a few upgrades in case you lose your heroes.

4) Marines seem to be everyone's favorite pick. If one of your opponents get a whole bunch of marines, I'd suggest buying a firebat. Firebats barely take any damage from the marine's base damage and with its splash, can wipe out a group of them.

Known Bugs:
- The Cloak ability on the ghost disables him, hit S for stop to allow him to move/attack again.

More Heroes to come. Please comment if you rate the map.

Hello,I'm here to review your map!

Well,I must say that your map is indeed special and great.

[+]Awesome gameplay
[+]Captivating design
[+]Simple , altough needed terrain
[+]Lots of models
[+]Proper credits were given
[+]It is protected
[+]Various types of units from Starcraft
[/]Should of added more units in this version
[/]Where are the Protoss?
[/]No spells whatsoever ; except Cloak,Stim Pack and Heal
[-]It isn't machine friendly
[-]I think that those sounds shouldn't of been used ; it breaks some major Hive rules

Well, the map is indeed awesome,it deserves a 4/5 without a remorse,if you take heed of what I said, you would perfect you map.

Have a bright day!

This map is based off starcraft units. Those various units do not have spells and I want the map to be true to starcraft. Spells/abilities will NOT be added if they do not belong.

[-]It isn't machine friendly

Playing it with the units decaying does cause lag, warcraft 3 wasn't built for mass units. Luckily, there is a function to remove corpses by typing -clean, and there is a function to have zergling corpses explode on death by typing -explode

There is no AI and there won't be. Zergling blood is a classic map from starcraft and isn't meant to be played with AI. It would be too predicable and if I made it good enough so it wasn't, it would lag a hell of a lot more.
