When you can't open map (error file,units list)
use that:
-upload to catalog of this program
-change name of map to: yourmap.w3x
-open xdep.exe
-wait few seconds
-and vuala

It is a russian program to unprotect maps. After this you have to recover the mpq.datas from the map with "mpq recovery" and then you have a unprotected map.
Seems to be a program to hijack maps, so I think it is a violating program. :/
But with newer maps and newer patch this triggers that are generated by this program are crashing the game/WE.
I think it should be rejected, imo.

Probably stealing ideas. I usually deprotect maps to get the name of a model and search it where did they get that, for references.

Ah, share it.

If a kid wants to see your work, what are they going to do? Start a company and market it?

By that age they don't view things that way, and sometimes these map making legends come from childhood thievery.

Still, I feel uncomfortable when I do not protect my maps...and I feel slightly guilty when I deprotect maps.
