Map Info:

Select your hero and fight your wave to the DevilDare, while defending your Headstructure (Skull Of Dread). Challenge yourself by doing various missions and fightning minibosses.

Legend:
Ap (All Pick) - Players gets to pick any hero from any tavern
Ar (All Random) - A random hero is given to every player
Sh (Same Hero) - Randomizes host's hero and players are given the same hero that the host controls
Sm (Spam Mode) - FOR FUN ONLY! Spells have no cooldown or manacost
Bg (Bonus Gold) - Players gain periodic income depending on game difficulty

Custom Resource Manipulation System






Trading Resources

You can activate the command by typing "-sell gold/gems ", followed by the amount of resource you'd want to sell.
The calculation for gems is: amount of sold gold divided by 200.
The calculation for gold is: amount of sold gems times 200.

Example 1: -sell gems 800 -> this will remove 800 gems from you and give you 800 * 200 = 160 000 gold.
Example 2: -sell gold 200 000 -> this will remove 200 000 gold from you and give you 200 000 / 200 = 1000 gems.

Giving Resources

Custom resource trading system used for trading goods between players.
You can give resources by typing "-give gold/gems ", followed by a player number (1-8), and then afterwards the amount of resource you're willing to give.

Example: -give gold 6 25000 -> This will give 25 000 gold to player 6
Note that you cannot send resources to yourself.

Another one of X HERO SIEGE that really amazes me. Here is my review for this map:

X Hero Siege D-Day 1.1c Review

[+] Good Points:
-Good terrain, I really like those cliffs and tiles you used because they are really fitting for the environment of the game but maybe you can add some doodads that gives more details into it.
-Many heroes to choose from which also have their awesome custom spells.
-A different kind of Special Event that we really enjoyed.
-Really cool new items you've added that is not in the origina X Hero Siege by Sogat.
-Nice and fitting UI you have used.

[-] Bad Points:
-Yes, it has good terrain but maybe you should have supported it with proper detailing using some doodads that fitted the terrain.
-I think on my own perspective, this is quite hard game even in 4 players +. Maybe you should have same concept with the original X Hero Siege that lets player freelt chooses difficulty like in the start of the original.

[] Suggestions:
-Only some little proper doodads in the terrain please.
-Maybe add some system where in the start where player can choose difficulty. Yes, I know it is meant fo 4 players but will it be fun if that way?
Overall, this is a really much advanced version of the orginal X Hero Siege. Good job and I will rate this 4/5 and a +3 REP on the creator!

I also vote for APPROVAL on this map!

Thank you for your awesome Review. Appreciated :)

1. I don't think doodads are really nessesary, the terrain is really nice, no need for doodads :D
2. It is recommended +4 players because it's easier to proceed, and also easier to defend the Sanctum in Final Wave and Marathon and later boss killing...
And I added the dialogs right at beggining to select difficutly....
And How much ways: 2, 4, 6, 8
3. It is more fun with more players

@Juno Yep, I love XHS and I decided to make one, epic one xD
I was working on it for 1 year and 3 months...

Well, I just finish this with Umnocious with 4 gates open difficulty middle and there's only two of us playing. BEAT THAT! HAHA. :3


Anyways, I forgot to make a review.

- Terrain is fine, with that number of creeps marching in on you, you'll never notice the friggin' terrain. but if I'll judge the terrain, it's still good. You don't need to use raise/lower with these kind of games.
- UI is so damn customized. Except the lumber and food part. You should change those into something like changing lumbers to Gems. so that it would look cool and also change the gold, lumber and food's tooltip to something else. You can change the food part to something else. like the hero's deaths.
- Gameplay, XHS is awesome as always, but I would really want something like a victory condition here and not just a creep marathon or was it like that in the past versions? really can't remember but I would really like somthing to win. :3

The ursa seems to have weakened. My old tactic with the ursa doesn't work anymore. :(

Oh, and it would be good to included the old heroes too. I would really like that.
-Overall, I really like it. Credits was properly given, and gameplay was really good. :)

Umm, victory condition? Why? you're not done with map after Marathon of Creeps, you proceed to the second part
Yep, ursa is weakened, because I added Infernal. Ursa's are just for beggining. Infernal Stone is much more tanky :D

Heroes will be added with time, It's not easy to make spells which most fits to the hero :D

and gameplay was really good. :)

How do I make it awesome? :D

New things noted after playing.. again..

-You do know that there's a max of 100 floating texts at one instance right? So, with 8 players each spawning 4-6 floating texts with their heroes, I think there would be an instance that that limit would be reached. (I'm referring to those "+10stats", "+25stats", "xxx Str,agi,int damage", floating texts)

-Infernals stink.. and with their current icons, they aren't really noticeable. You could add a stomp to the infernal coz we(me and my friends) usually depend on ursa's tankiness and strong stun to defend the base for a moment while were away. His immolation is kinda useless late game.

-Tried the "-sell gold" command but it didn't work. I was in event 3 and I didn't want to waste all the gold so I decided to sell it for lumber but it just didn't work.

-Could you also make the last wave cinematics skippable? kinda annoying the more you play the map. :V

-Hey, I just noticed a hero with Juno as his name. haven't tried it yet though :3

Ok, I'll improve their tankiness, and add few more abilities

About the -sell gold command, I disabled it because after it, you have insane amount of wood... I increased the wood bounty to 5 per kill so you'll still have decent amount of wood after event, but not too much

Cinematics at Final Wave... Hmm.. I know, it's kinda annoying to me too, but then I just alt-tab and do something until is goes away :D
I dont think I'll make it skippable because it shows the creation of Final Wave :D

I got stuck in a death cycle in front of some enemy towers. Maybe I'm a hero siege noob and I should have known but I never played before. Anyway, there's a lot of cool stuff going on in this map. Obviously took tons of work +2 rep. Could use custom models. Icons were super cool. Tooltip's background (already mentioned) was no good. 5/5 easy! Nice work. Some improvements could be made to the overall appearance. Backgrounds on dialogue boxes didn't exactly work but was ok. General clean-up need to be a 100% pro piece of work. Seriously playable!!! Worth the download for anyone who likes Hero Siege or is just curious.

Bug reports here. :)

First, I only activated 2 gates, but when I tried to destroy the rest of the gates, the last wave was suddenly activated, The one I destroyed specifically is the left gate at the bottom and the open gates are still alive when the final wave started.

and you seem to have given Umnocious two immolation abilities, so that means, same order ID, both abilities may be cast at the same time and stuff.. It's also possible that the immolation are not stackable but I'm not sure..

In the four boss part, you should remove whatever was left here because this place is visible even though my hero is a million miles away. I think that's the dummy unit for Umnocious's laser skill that was not removed so there's still that visibility.

These final bosses seems to be weaker than the final wave and the creep marathon and I'm even playing alone, If there was 8 of us playing, the bosses would feel like a normal creep.. You should at least strengthen him a little and add maybe minions. You should also make their drops more powerful since they're the bosses, they should drop something that isn't easily acquirable and cannot be bought from shops.

Oh and about the gates that "prevents" you from going to the next boss, well they do not work. They seemed to be scaled up gates and their pathing is all wrong. I'm guessing that you took the gate then scaled it to 2x its normal size coz the pathing is only present in the middle part. Open your map in WE and I'm guessing that the pink box here is where your pathing is located. (Press letter P if you don't know how to view the pathing)

and yes I'm already at the second boss with illidan still alive.

And last bug report. I have killed the last four bosses, finished the last wave, etc etc but the game seemed to have just stopped. The fountain of power and the store in the middle of the map seemed to have showed up. I'm guessing I should have been teleported there for the final boss but I wasn't. When mannoroth died, nothing special happened and the game never ended. :V

No, it's and immolation from Fire Monster, so it's not same. Yes, they are stackable.

Btw, were you paused when you killed Mini Boss 4?

So few bugs I spotted and some suggestions.

If there is no Player(0) aka Player 1 nothing happens at the start and you can not select a hero. By this I mean if no one is in the Player 1/Player(0) slot the game doesn't work.

Another thing I noticed is that the background of the menu appears to not be working correctly as seen here.

Now onto my various other complaints

  • No standard keybinding map, as in every hero's keybindings are different. It would be nice if it followed just standard QWER.
  • Tooltips are a pain to read if you could condense information like Damage, AoE, Duration, etc into a list at the top as well the full description that would be very nice.
  • Another thing that compounds the tooltip issue is the background is not good for reading imo it would be much better as a solid color.
  • The command icons do not feel like they fit together. They all are differant styles and that annoys me, but that is a minor complaint.
  • It would be nice if the gates functioned how they did in the original X Hero Siege

Really to sum up my issues I would like you to work on improving the tooltips and making them easier to read because I am lazy. I had some more complaints, but it's late and I can't really remember them.

Goddamn time consuming. I was just lazy and didn't do it. Just pick the spell lol :D

I find them very nice, maybe not fitting each other, but nice looking so they are staying too

I think i found a bug, or i'm just too stupid to realize the obvious. With any gate settings (either 2,4,6 or 8) the last one always becomes invulnerable. Tried destroying everything before that, tried killing every boss and shit before that but nothing seems to happen. Any idea/possible fix?

Yes, that is let's say a bug...
Anyway, there is a way around it: Once you select numbers of gates, then do this: type -cw once and then type -ow twice. That will make citadel vurnerable.

Report more things if you find :D
and/or maybe some ideas?

I can't guarrante that because I myself don't know the problem either and bad luck so far finding it...

I thought it was only my computer being unable to handle so much units and effects, but it seems it's not that

This map rocks. Nice I give a reputation .5/5 well done !

For now, I'll just update it if any malfunctions get reported, for for v1.3, It'll wait some time because I will be focusing on learning some other things :)

the map is great, but after some time it just goes SO boring that you need to stay afk and gather gold/gems for ~20mins to buy something
but still enjoyed it

You need tactics. I assume you were spending money on -bt, right? If so, you could just finish the missions and save the money. For more advanced items, there are special events so yes, you need tactics :)

This map is great for times when you just wait for the time to pass or you have nothing to do....

That's how Hero Siege works, I can't make it more different cuz then it wouldn't be XHS :)

So after my second unpleasant try I decided to try out the Raper (I have no idea what his name means if he's Reaper or Rapist) and he seemed to be a good choice assuming that his knockbacking skill saved my ass couple of times when stun-locked (it also knocks dead bodies which shouldn't happen bacause it looks weird)... Design is outstanding, imported UI, new and shrinked font with new models, custom abilities, their effects and spells icons fit the atmosphere and everything... I even found myself feeling that I'm playing different game rather than Warcraft and it felt good...

Despite all these satisfying features there comes the wrong side of it:
1.) Challenge number one is way too difficult for new players to understand as it comes as the first challenge
2.) Skills' custom icons are great but what I don't like and it is just me being crazy about it is "never use CommandButton with borders for a passive skill", it looks bad
3.) A little, many and much more tooltip typoes and not-looking-good color coding of them (again this is not really important but it would look better if it wasn't so wrong)
4.) Skills are a bit imba (too much damage for their first levels) and also some of them for example Frost Wyrm of that Knight hero has 500 mana and Frost Breath skill which doesn't consume it making the mana obsolete
5.) Items are bugged or rather abusive (Tempest Sword gives stats upon a chance on attack right? Well all I have to do is attack the Circle of Power for example since it's indestructible but able to be attacked then), etc...
6.) I wouldn't think of anything else but there comes the last and the biggest issue. When I got bored and got some gear I decided to destroy bases of those creeps, Destroyers came in, IKed them, then Hydra, IKed it, then the last wave, the final battle came in which was very easy since they didn't attack the main structure, only the Thorns Aura gave me a hard time. IKed them, but what happens next? Nobody knows... No timer, no message, just a Circle of Power to the final boss alright? But it just won't teleport me, goddamn...! Guess I'll just go for a pause because of a long time wasted on those creeps...

This is why I'm giving you 3/5

This map has been updated many times. Most of those things were fixed.
I assume you downloaded it first time, and not the updates :)

Skills's damage... Yeah, maybe you're right. I'll see will I decrease damage a bit or....
Frost Wyrm's Frost Breath.. Of course, will also fix that

My, my... Another dumb mistake of mine. Taken care of. Never actually though of that tho.

This issue has been fixed long time ago. I recommend to download it again. Or have you? Which version were you playing when u noticed all these things?

This report, this is what I need to be able to improve the things. I am gratefull to you simply because you describe the problem correctly, you tell what's wrong (not just play, find bug and don't bother to report (like some guys, I didn't specified anyone, telling in general)) and report it.

I hope good luck for you man . The normal X hero siege is got boring and finally a new x hero siege theme released . I enjoy playing like these maps with my friends Then i will be giving them the newest version ( btw they loved it , honestly ). I hope for you good luck again .

Well let's see, I downloaded and played it yesterday so I guess it was the lastest version... The file name says v1.2 anyway...
1.) The challenge thing, I'm not saying it's impossible, I won second or third round but all I'm saying it's a bit too challenging (btw those Deathwings' model rules!)
2.) No green icons seen but what I mean are the button-like icons which are pushed when you click on them and those without borders

Well I guess I'll try another round and if I find something major I'll report...

I don't know if it is just me but when I start final wave on normal difficulty all heroes freeze and I cant do anything until monsters destroy my base. Is it suppose to happen?
But except it its a nice map.

The newest version have bugs. When my friends and I played this map, enemies hit by Forked Lighting of Aqua Naga Queen count as kills even if they didnt die.
I played as Death Magma. When I do the tome mission, the stat rune didn't appear. I couldn't finish the mission so I stuck there.
We are really enjoy this map so please fix the bug.

That is really odd, never seen anything like that before. Any enemy unit or creeps and/or heroes?

I played as Death Magma. When I do the tome mission, the stat rune didn't appear. I couldn't finish the mission so I stuck there.

Well, you could just die in traps and be respawned.

I will take care of those things.


EDIT: just tried both those things and I didn't encounter any problems. You will have to be very specific. Tell me exactly when, where, what u did etc...

my friend and i wanted to try this map out a few days ago but after the map started just had a very bright blue screen, he could still see the lifebars of the heroes and could click on them and the warcraft 3 bar at the bottom of the desctop sill worked but he couldnt really play like this, does anybody know the or is able to help me? (btw this is not the only map on which this happens to him)
 
Dude when i played this map i almost killed myself! I found many bugs in the game. For example, when the last special event came , the creeps did not pause they kept attacking the castle and i had nothing to do about it so i decided to die in the special event. And when i died i had to wait the rest of the time to be unpaused!!!! Also the leaderboard, that shows how many kills i got, is messed up. I kill 1 ennemy and it adds 10 or 20!!!! This is a great map with good models and good camera settings but if u can only fix those bugs :)

And as I mentioned in first page, I lost the project and I can't update the map anymore, thus I'm unable to fix those ''bugs''.

How about you redownload the map and try again? And then see does it screws up again.
