Map Description

Worms Garden Party is an arena type of map with control points, which can be played by up to 10 players. The multiple game modes that make the game play under certain conditions will all deal with control points.

Game Modes:

Conquest
There are two teams; each team gets x force points-displayed as radioactive bar at multiboard. The first team that causes the opposing team to lose their force points to 0 will win. A team can cause the opposing team to lose a force point in many ways. First, killing an enemy hero will reduce the opposing team’s force points by (1 + the number of captured control points your team owns), firstblood adds bonus points by 2. Second, if the number of your team captured control points greater than your opponent it will cause the opponent to lose 1 force point periodically. Third, capturing an occupied control point will cause the opponent to lose 5 force points.

Expansion
There are two teams; each team must conquer all four control points that exist in the map. If a team conquers all four, there will be a x minute period where the opposing team have to retake over 1 control point, else they will lose.

Deathmatch
There are two teams; each team will start with 0 score. If a team reaches the maximum amount of score, it will win the game. The maximum amount of score is determined by the host. A team can gain a score by killing an enemy hero. A team can also gain 3 scores by capturing a control point.

GIANT COOKIE FOR YOU

Anyways, I'll seriously rage if any description Nazi comes here and tells scorpion182 to improve description with the use of BB codes, inconsistencies, or something akin to such bullshit.

You're like one of the only guys who post stuff I look forward to :(

Verdict
The description is simple and meets the standards of the required THW submission guidelines; credits are given in-game (via quests).

Gameplay
Verdict
The opening cinematic is rather long, but doesn't mean the game is bad (duh). The opening text affect is a cool touch. Shooting delay was a bit annoying and required a bit of additional timing perfection that seems unecessary but I am indifferent to how this affects the overall gameplay. The multiple game variants is a bonus to the gameplay and they function properly. Control points were an interesting mix in the game.

Terrain
Verdict
The terrain was very clever, albeit the doodads were rather large thus (such as the flowers) blocking vision of some rather large chunks of the terrain. However, the visibility was manageable even throughout the wormy chaos.

Interface
Verdict
The most annoying piece of this map was the weapon selection system (dialog-based). I personally would prefer a layout for secondary/primary/explosive/etc as buttons that basically toggle between the player's current weapons – or another form of easier accessbility. Trying to swap weapons via dialog in the heat of worm battle was very frustrating. This does not detract from the fun at an alarming rate, but it could use a touch up or two. My ram meter did not show any signs of heavy leaks, thus I trust the map is mainly leak free (I personally accept that not ALL leaks can be removed, and are not required to for a map to receive a vote of approval!)

Replayability
Verdict
The multiple game modes add to the replayability value of this map tremendously, as well as the possible team makeups (2v2,3v3,4v4, etc). Thus, this map is exellent to play again and again with friends. Some modes varied in length, such as capturing the control points (took 50 seconds in some cases; at the most).

I agree with this part, was this to preload everything? Or just for a cool intro? I'm assuming you used a fade filter to display the "WORMS GARDEN PARTY" right

The most annoying piece of this map was the weapon selection system (dialog-based).

I also agree with this. Perhaps add hotkeys to the dialog buttons, or just switch it to a more rapidly manageable UI. Adding hotkeys would confuse people I'd imagine but here was my idea:

Primary weapon (1) or (Q)
Secondary weapon (2) or (W)

Basically:

Dialog button 1 (1)
Dialog button 2 (2)

I only managed to get one player when I hosted this map (god damn FoC, DotA, and other crap maps). I played deathmatch, it was actually quite boring... the suggested players was 2 - 10... I dunno. o.o I'll try again later with more players (if people join) and then throw my nonsense feedback at you :)
