Wooden Log Wall

Recently started modeling, this is my first doodad model...
Special thanks to Kitabatake for the modeling tutorials!!

UPDATE:
-Deleted the Polygons at the bottom of the model as eubz suggested.
-File size was slightly reduced

UPDATE 2:
-Calculated Extents

"I was using my model in one of my maps and I noticed that in some cases,
the model would disappear based on camera angle, simple fix in Magos"

First doodad, not bad ! :)
cool, looks like a roman fort wall :D
thnx for all the positive comments guys;D

looks nice, but there are really a lot of polys
nice job anyway
well i could reduce the poly count if i made the wooden log have a cuboid shape instead of a cylinder one but then it would look too simple and probably ugly=/

Don't delete the polys at the bottom of the model, if for some reason it was used as a platform or such it would hurt it, or if it were elevated, honestly I think the extra 24 polys or however many it would give you doesn't make much of a difference in file size.

I like the textures you used btw. Poly count isn't bad neither is the size.

yeah i was thinking the same thing for the polys at the bottom but i have to redo the model to bring those back so meh *_*
i was randomly looking at the textures in the wc3 mpq when i noticed that texture and i was suprised nobody bothered to make a wall out of it so i did;)
and that's the cons of simple models, low file size and poly count;D

Riotz, who would be mental enough to use upside-down log wall instead of something that LOOKS like a platform? o_O

:eekani: If you want a platform, use a platform model. Having polys at the bottom of a ground model is mostly a waste in my opinion.

Hehe, you're certainly not the first one using this texture for a wooden wall. But for a first model it's nice.
If you want to make a low poly version that should still look round from afar, make it pentagonal or triangular not quadrangular.
