I tried to create 4v4 map in the Northrend theme. Hope you will like it!
2020 Edit: This is one of my oldest maps and my 1st "big map" thus it has many problems ragarding paths/balance, but I've decided not to change them as I want it to stay the way it is.

It's a showy map which can be included in the melee-ladder department collection.

Didn't thought of that. Maybe you are right, nerubians protecting mercenary camps are set to 200 range, changing them to 500 should do the trick.

2. Check the ramps. Some have graphical glitches as they're practically incorrectly placed. It's an error the editor makes sometimes.

Hmm, wasn't able to find them at fisrt glance, but you are right. It is a foolish mistake, I will fix it asap.

3. Players are quite near each other.

It was kinda my intesion, I know humans can abuse it. I did just a few games on it, so I wans't able to say, if it is that bad. If more players will find it anoying, I will rework the spawn locations.

It's a showy map which can be included in the melee-ladder department collection.

I'm flattered.

When I saw there was a map called Wintergrasp Lake,.... and it was a large team battle map as well... I thought that was just perfect.
Not sure if anyone will ever use the Goblin Shipyards- I would probably delete them. Other than that it looks perfect! good job!

Thanks! Possitive feedback means alot for me :) As for shipyards, i wanted to experiment with this map, no zepellin + loot island accesible by sea, - paths around so there won't be 1 fight in middle, but multiple fronts. When I have some spare time, I really enjoy creating melee maps so you can expect more in the future. Once again, thanks for the reply!

Terrain:
Terrain looks stellar, there's not much to say on it really.

Layout:
The layout is ok.
I think circular layouts have some problems with linear gameplay and making air more attractive.
But you made the paths wide enough to accomodate many players, so there will at least be some normal fighting for 14-16~ minutes.

Boats:

Seems fine i guess.
I just don't see a reason to buy them, even for crossing the map.
With multiple players you don't really run away, you just tp most of the time when a battle turns sour.

Creeproutes:
I think the optimal way to play it is to go 2 and 2 and clear camps that are bordering an enemy player.
Because the creep camps that are placed between players can be crept safely at any time.
The downside with creeproutes is that you can't stop the players who are wedged between for doing greedy things.

Ramped Mines:
Tower them up and you can't do much about them.
This will only reinforce the idea of going air since you need vision on top.
The cliffs could be cut here.

Corners:
I don't see much of a point in engaging with this area.
Since there are more valueable objectives on the map.
Even for xp hungry heroes.


I would suggest experimenting with different start formats.
Maybe try a 1 0 1 0 format so that teamates aren't hugging each other?
This way the player movement would be less dictated by the map, but by the players.
Instead of macro fights you get micro fights across the map.
It would be a lot fair and more tense, since you wouldn't have teamates in the back doing nothing at all.

Hello, I tried to open your map in the original we, but it doesn't seem to be able to open it. Maybe it's for reference. Can I get a map that can be opened in the original we?

The map is unprotected. Are you perhaps using an old patch for W3? This was updated with Reforged WE so the number of the patch would be 1.32+ I believe.
I'm very depressed to hear this news. I do use the old 1.24 patch editor. I don't like the version of Warcraft 1.28 or above. The Remaking is even more disappointing to me. I want to use your map to make a new race map (Naga, blood elf, Burning Legion), but it seems that I can't do it at present. Maybe you have a map version that can be opened in version 1.24.
