Windy Fields

Story
In a valley where wind is trappped,
a peaceful village lies inapt.
The wind turned cold and river red,
a gruesome battle waits ahead.

Disclaimer
It's an old map of mine I found and tried to salvage. Not sure if I managed that. Iirc the BFME2 map "Shire" was a huge inspiration for it (in theme and somewhat in layout).

Tactics
Each player on the team has different possibilities and "objectives" they could focus on. One has a marketplace and a shop closer so he can focus on powering up his hero with items, other has 3 goldmines somewhat closer and the middle one has the safest base of them all protected by his allies and the nearest expo. The expos don't offer much lumber, however the woods near the borders offer a safer way to gather lumber. The outskirts might be a way to sneak up on your opponent. Some might even destroy trees at the base goldmines for a surprise attack.
It's quite a small map with 144x130 (bases are only cca 90 tiles away from each other).

Either I'm colour blind or there's a starting location missing in the site's autogenerated minimap preview. Basically, greens in an area, oranges in an area. Some mine guardians can be attacked from cliffs with artillery or long range abilities...

  1. Basically, greens in an area, oranges in an area.
  2. Some mine guardians can be attacked from cliffs with artillery or long range abilities.
  3. Chance or not, I've got an abundance of Slippers of Agility +3 from green camps and only agility tomes in the west while in the east strength ones.

ADDITIONAL NECESSARY INFORMATION
  • A credits list in the map thread description is required where the names of the resource (models, skins, icons, spells, sound etc.) authors are mentioned along with the specific resource. It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.
  • A detailed changelog in the first post would be helpful to reviewers and notify fans about the newest implementations to your map.
  • Map thread tags are important. Please use those that fit and not more or none.
