Why has it taken us 10+ years to get this model?

With some high-quality custom animations, this would go to making a really schweet "Wyvern Mounting Orc Hero" ala the 2nd Hero Contest's Bone Crusher.

And I just noticed that that head-dress he's wearing... It's a gryphon. Like, the head of a gryphon. Like he's showing off being a slayer of (Alliance) Gryphon Riders. That's crazy. (but does it explain why the Shaman is wearing a wolf?)

Actual Model Review Time. It's pretty good & I like the use of Draenei animations. it's neat that the base model has enough texture variety to keep things interesting (esp. that front-armor). However, I kinda feel like the two spears on his back are just too much clutter (and possibly even the *full* net on his shoulder).

AH, if I had knowledge about animating and modeling I probably would do nicely to become a windrider hero. Just like the Bone Crusher...Maybe one spear is enough? And the full net is to indicate that there's a spell "throw" or "entangle"

One spear, maybe (it's not your fault; it's the spears. They are rather complicated for spears).

Sure, but does the Raider have a 'full net' on his person? Or even a half-net? I think the Troll (net-thrower-guy) creep only has a tiny half-size net.

Yeah, for sure. But the net is from the Forest Troll, its not half, its full. I increased the size.

It didn't actually take ten years to get it. http://www.hiveworkshop.com/threads/hawk-scout.63142/
This model that I now linked, which essentially does the same thing as this model, has existed since 2008.

You know, for a number of reasons I partially dislike your and @Dojo's take on this concept. You both kinda get orc's body proportions wrong if someone asks me. His guy will look too much like a villager among orcs and your Wind Rider looks waaaaaaaaaay too tall. Like a troll. I think you could work around that using global sequences and scaling the bones in them. Also, consider editing his attack animations, maybe even delete some of them. It's a good model otherwise, don't get me wrong here:)
