Okay, I'm done now.
Looks cool. I didn't even know it was a Death Knight skin for a couple of seconds.
5/5, +rep and vote for approval. This definitely deserves it.

Actually, there are a few things I might suggest :)

When saving the skin, set the quality to 70%. You won't even notice the difference in quality, and you will probably save yourself about 100kb on size ;)

Also, It would be nice to see some freehand work on the chest strap and the belt :)

Other than that though, top quality work!

4/5 from me, I'll rate it officially later just in case you make any changes :)

By belt you mean the skull part ? I thought that looked cool and fitted a barbarian (though I recolored the silver mail to bronze so as not to have a silver overload on him). I could change it though. What would look fitting ?

Thanks for the tip about the file size though.

I did do a version with blond/browny hair, and darkened armour on his body, but for some reason it wouldn't load in the World Editor, even when I remade it. I might have another crack at editing those two things back in later on. Would they help improve the skin do you think?

this looks fresh :]

but you should fix the shield as it looks odd with those pikes ruining the pattern of it. you should either try to remove the spikes or to work your shield ornaments around 'em.

think you should change the horse color to white or brown or something.. like this it looks like a Llama :D

fix the chest belt as well to maybe a couple of thin straps, that would certainly be better than this o_O

fix the head armor for the horse, as it looks rather odd right now.. perhaps you make that cloth instead of armor. and if possible eraze the horns of the steed.

fix the hooves, they're pretty meh, try nice light brown-ish hooves with some white accent, that'll look pretty good :D Sword could be bronze

that'll be all for now:

Rating: 3.04/5 Cool.. but needs work.

Overall, the skin needs more shading. The highlights you have done are very good, but with highlights, you need shading.
try to make it all stand out more and less flat. especially on the armor. the shading is there, but far too solid. try to fade it out and make it look realistic. especially on the body.
and as Misha said, try and alpha out the horns. i believe there isn't TC on it so it can be done.

2.7/5 Good Work, but it needs a lot more to be done.
