I agree it does match the WC3 style more than the original; however, did you get permission to edit this model?

He doesnt edit the model but make a new skin for it.
Anyways the SoC resource pack is released for public use so i dont see your problem.

Huh. A custom skin for a Scars of Conflict model, now that's a first.
I don't think it's a big deal to make a custom skin like that, but I think it would be preferable if you also linked to the resource pack and maybe mentioned the model's creators or something. That could help people find the model and also give proper credits in their map.
It looks nice, although in my opinion the hood doesn't really fit. Good job, anyhow. ^^

An SoC skin is a first, so it's quite interesting..
One thing I would suggest is to make the hood which isn't TC, into TC like the rest of the armor. Since it looks a bit weird, for the Purple and any other color to mix up.
But that's just my opinion. It's a good skin overall, so 4/5
