Cool, looks like a viking appox. year 990~ Then again, a viking would generally have more chainmail and more pelts on him. But meh, I like it. Well done. Adds variation to the boring footman.

As always, wonderful use of in-game textures, you really made this look completely unique and with great quality, without even needing to import any textures.

I hadn't noticed this at first, but the shield is really stretched. You might want to consider re-wrapping it or changing the mesh a bit so that the bolts are actually bolts. This is a problem I see with lots of models and it is usually ignored.
