Viking Village Defense v2.0

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Hero defense map. Totaly 10 waves and final boss after last wave. Through many alpha and beta versions, i reached balance that i wanted and now this map is hard enough but completeable (checked ;)).

Only for 8 players (full house). Also possible for 6 - 7 players, but only if they're pro and that gonna be really hard. This is not misstake, the idea is that team contains ALL characters, not only part of them.

Features:
1) Archer heros can only use bows and arrows. They cannot pick up and use melee weapons or shields.
2) Melee warriors can only use melee weapons and shields. They cannot shoot bows or carry arrows.
3) Arrows are ammo for archers. If archer has no arrows, he won't shoot.
There are multiple arrow types. For example, matching arrows are free, you don't need to pay for them, but they don't give any bonus. Balanced arrows cost some gold, but every shot with those arrows will deal +25 damage.
4) Melee weapons, shields etc. are graphicaly shown in hands of your hero (attachments).
5) Hero can have only 1 weapon, 1 shield (or arrow pack if hero is acher), 1 armor and 1 helm in his inventory. So he cannot wear multiple helms or use three or four melee weapons. If you want to take other weapon or shield, you have to sell (drop) your previous one.
6) The map idea is also survival. That's why no respawn. Only 1 life. Die means game over.

7) At end of every wave there are bosses (first 2 waves have 3 - 4 mini-bosses, later waves have just one strong boss at end) those drop bonus items after death.
8) Teamplay is very important in this map: good players will heal, rescue, give gold (when it is needed) to their mates, while bad players gonna ignore, block and steal from them.

Some info about waves:
Every wave contains different enemies. Higher waves mean stronger enemies. Some waves also contain units with special abilities (mana burn, freezing attack etc.), artillery (artillery attacks only main building, ignoring players) etc.
1st wave is easy enough, but without full team, some people can die even there. 2nd wave is not easy, some players die there even with full house, medicines etc. 3+ waves are HARD. You risk all the time and every moment may be fatal for you. Blocked by attackers, couldn't escape, didn't use medicine or didn't help to your mate means that someone of your team dies.
Ending gonna be surprise for you, after 10th wave there gonna be "Final battle". But without hundreds of enemies.
Totaly, there are about 4000 attackers on this map (all attackers from all waves + bosses + summoned creatures etc.). 9th and 10th wave simple attackers are as strong as bosses on 1st - 2nd waves.

Updates:
version 1.4 - changed ending; added flying text at shop areas.

version 1.5 - added 2-handed weapons (2 swords, 2 axes and 2 mauls), added new shops for them, added new bow for archers. Also added feature: When someone leaves a game, everyone can see message that player left the game.

version 1.8 - lots of changes, changed terrain, afterdeath status, balance, single player mode, ending, new things etc.

version 2.0 - new weapons, new armor, new helm, new arrows, changed spells description, added some new enemies and changed 1st lvl boss. And of course i added ending cinematic.

its fun and nice, but, can put difficulty control ? like... i play with my friend, so, 2 ppl. it is too hard for both of us to finish level 2.... so, if 1 player is playing, set the creep quantity to X then if 2 player playing set the creep quantity to Y and so on. Also, when someone is a healer, the one will not kill much things, so can you put gold reward after each wave ? prices of weapons and armor also not so balanced =( if its the price, u should increase the selling value....

edit: Also, the limit for archer's arrow is 90 ??? can stack them ???

Very well then, here i go.
The downloading takes some time, but the loading is fast.
The Loading Screen info was good.
The terrain was very WELL done.
Erm. There is one strange thing. There are some text like .1 1: 1 or something, wth?
I loved the models and the items on hands etc. were awesome. Also the bow/arrow system: awesome.

The game was balanced, the items were balanced and good.
Spell/Item descriptions were good.
Good usage of models and attachments.
No lag ingame, excellent :D.

Well, i have to say that this game is really fun, well made and lagless.
I vote 4/5 and vote for Approval.

Suggestions:Maybe make a timer when the enemies are coming?

Those text are actually russian language. I used both: Russian and English TIPS in game. They are same but shown at same time. Those who doesn't have cirillica installed, don't see russian letters.
 
Version 2.0 finished. Check it.

New weapons:

1) Gross-Messer - 2-handed sabre. very fast and strong weapon.
2) Combat Engineer's Shovel - cheapest and weakest 2-handed weapon in the game
3) Mercury Spatha - unique single-handed sword with superior stats and low price. But it breaks in 100 hits...

New Arrows: Fire Arrows - +50 damage, fire arrow animation as well.

New Armor: Superior Field Plate Mail

New Helm: Superior Vendel Helm

Added new icon for Runic Stone.
Now all spells have hotkeys. And they got right description that is actual for current level.

Nice doin all weapons viable on chars but you must make map more interesting!Terrain is very good also idea of viking vilage!
As i say you must make map more intersting like adding story!Waves of creeps become boring so you need to add bosses that are scripted to cast spells so only with teamwork can be killed!Make items more interesting like no need for you to put 10 swords in one shop and they are different only in damage you can do this exemple: make sword that give +40 damage and put him in shop make trigger when you have that sword in inventory and click to buy it again - upgrade it in +60 damage sword also add trigger that gives gold to player so second buy of item can be cheaper!You can do a lot of item combo manipulations to make it easy and more fun to play!Add different custom spells to heroes evasion is useless to archer and healing!

At first the game was fun but then it became very boring because there aren't really any skills to use to make it interesting. It is just waves of creeps and my character chops them all down without the use of any active skills. And from what I can tell, all the characters have the exact same three skills (last breath, a dodge skill and a crit skill). If you can work on making the characters more unique and have more active skills then the replay value would greatly increase. Also the last boss regains HP while standing next to the well. Is that intentional?

Your purpose is to survive the onslaught of the enemy waves, and protect your small viking village.For the sake of Valhala..

[+]The terrain is what charmed me, you have done a great job.
[+]You have a variety of items, heroes and a few nice spells for each player to choose.
[+]Map size was average, but its fine cause you used most of the imported material effectively.
[+]Your map was protected but i didn't experience any crashes.
[-]Your description is lacking.You need to inform players in game what they have to do, until i found out that i was under attack i didn't know what do in the map.You also have a few typos over and there some of them even in the tooltips.
[-]Map is still unbalanced in my opinion, i was attacked by an endless mass of enemy creeps.Too hard to win.
[-]You don't give credits in your map, this is really bad.
[-]You need to work on Object Editor more.
[-]Some of the game tips displayed a few numbers below, i couldn't understand them.Could you explain me?
[-]I also noticed a green icon, you will have to fix it.If you don't know how a quick search over Hive's threads will help you.
[-]The only thing i can see when your map is loading is a black theme...did you made this in purpose or you have problems with your loadscreen?
