Ursa Major - Super Heavy Tank

This bundle is marked as director's cut. It exceeds all expectations and excels in every regard.
Description
The Ursa Major is the crown of super-heavy tank development of the United Federal Territories. The Ursa Major, or internally named the X3, was spawned by the successful deployment and testing of the Kodiak Super Heavy Tank.

The Tank is equipped with the heaviest, most expensive and most modern armament seen in the battalions of the UFT. Ursa Major packs two super-heavy 155mm high velocity cannons with armour piercing shells, a twin linked pair of heavy barrage rocket pods and the newly developed fuel ejection system, primarily a heavy twin flame-thrower. The chassis of the tank is plated with the best composite armour plating available to the UFT. Being designed as a highly versatile super-heavy tank, two subsystems can me mounted on the two pods on the turret. Due to the new fusion engines the tank can reach very high speeds for a super-heavy class tank. The tank also features some of the best subsystems available in the galaxy, laser-guides, multi-purpose radar and diction systems and high intensity lights being only few of them.

In case of possible critical damage the tank will leave a wreckage, which can, due to the high integrity of the tank's hull, be totally repaired and recovered.
In the following pack you can find more goodies associated with the tank:

DonDustin: added rating. 1 of the best Tank models I have seen so far. The mesh is outstanding and the textures fit very well. One might argue that it is just another tank which overuses the tinker tank texture, but you simply have to see it from another perspective: this way it fits perfectly to the rest of GF's tanks and it is almost like a trademark for his vehicles.
Additionally I really like the effects(the dissipate effect is just brilliant)

I am completely lost for words.
This is like, the degree of awesomness where you can't get excited or shout something as a comment, just sit there and stare like a dumbass.

My only complaint is that some of the animations are a bit stiff. The walk animation looks great, it has a really RC-like feel to it, and the spinny tumbling stuff at the back is just gorgeous(!), but the Death anim looks really motionless and unrealistic, and the stand - 3 aswell as the flamethrower anim could use some movement.

As for the latter, you could make a short jagg at the end, like: it goes a milimeter too far, then snaps back (and alternately, it could go to far back even then and then return). I have a model that uses just that kind of animation incase you want to see what i mean. It gives realistic motion at the same time as it looks mechanical and robotic.

Other than that.. just incredible work. Your imagination and creativity in using warcraft textures is truly beyond limits

Excellent!

This is one of the best tanks that I have seen on the Hiveworkshop. Additionally, the name fits it well. Ursa Major is a massive constellation, and this is a massive tank. Great job model editing, and great job with providing it a represenative name.

Men, I got a problem with this and others General's Frank models...I imported them correctly and I followed all steps suggested by all guides I found to make them work ingame...despite all these things I see these models as green/black cubes in the editor and as a sort of "shadow" printed on the terrain when I play ingame (these shadows are almost unselectable by left-clicking on them but if an enemy unit come into their threat range they attac that unit :S )...
1) i tried to restart the editor but the problem doesn't fade away
2) I thought that the problem is due to a missing texture but in the model description there isn't any texture path or other similar things...

can anyone help me solving this problem? I like these models and I would appreciate to use them ingame

however these are the steps i followed to import the model, so if it's only a problem of importing the model it will be much easier to find:
1.downloaded and unzip the file
2.editor: opened import manager-->imported file-->selected the mdx file associated to this model
3.opened object manager-->selected a unit(just a normal melee unit)-->graphic-model-->selected the string war3mapImported\SuperHeavy_Tank_UrsaMajor.mdx
4.in object editor appears: graphic-model=war3mapImported\SuperHeavy_Tank_UrsaMajor.mdl

thx for the attenction, I hope you will help me solving my issue, and hi to all ;)

I think you'd need a patch, that'll install the war3Patch.MPQ that contains the tank's skin (Tinker tank)

More tanks is always good.

"There is no such thing as overkill. Only 'open fire' and 'I need to reload'.

General Frank, I tried using this and scaling it to 4 (I wanted an in-your-face large tank which is in scale with other units like the riflemen). But I'm getting a small problem:
The missile isn't shooting from the cannon. It's shooting from underneath the tank, at the centre. Any suggestions on what to put on the numbers to make the tank rounds come out of the cannons?

I am using your very own "tank rounds" as the missile model by the way.
