Unit Craft Tournament

Gameplay: You create 8 Units throughout the Game, which you can manipulate in almost every Aspect.
There are 7 normal Rounds in which you fight each Player once. After that the KO Phase begins in which you fight until there is only one Player left. Good Luck!


Detailed Information: In each Round you receive 15 Gold. With that you can buy different Armor/Attack types and decide between ranged/melee. Each Armor/Attack-type has it's own Strength/Weakness. The Point of the Game is to counter your Opponent's Build. After you choose Attack/Armor-Type and range/melee you get an Unit depending on your Choices on which you can add additional Stats like Hitpoints, Damage, Attackspeed and some useful Abilities or Auras. After everyones has finished his/her Unit or the Round Timer has expired, the Round begins in which you fight a random Opponent of your Group with all of your previous created Units. There are 7 normal Rounds with Groups of 8 Players (playable with 8, up to 16 Players, where empty Slots are being filled by NPC's). After that you create one last Unit before the K.O. Phase begins in which you fight until you are eliminated or being the last one alive. Good Luck!

Additional Information
  • Required Players: 8 or 16 (empty Slots are being filled by NPC's)
  • The Map takes around 10-20 Minutes to play
  • You receive 1 Gold per Win which some People called a snowballing Effect but tbh it's really tiny and there should be a Reward for winning or else it's pointless.
  • You can't control your Units
  • You can't save Gold across the Rounds (unspent Gold will be used even if your Unit has a full Inventory)
  • If you play with 16 Players there will still be just 7 normal Rounds, but 1 more Final Round (starts with 1/8 Finals instead of 1/4) because the Players are being split up in Groups of 8.

Map was Inspired by Fireche's 'Custom Unit Tournament' but since he was inactive and told me he wouldn't further upgrade his Version, I decided to make my own one from Scratch (which took me like 2-3 Weeks).

Triggers:
- Fixed a Bug which let (Computer) Players pick the same Color twice.
- Fixed a Bug which made the Game crash (that surprisingly nobody has noticed before. Thanks to 'Cryze666' for pointing that out.)

Balance:
- Increased melee Unit's Hitpoints from 50 to 60
- Increased ranged Unit's Hitpoints from 40 to 48
- Decreased melee Unit's Attackspeed from 1.75 to 1.80 Seconds.
- Decreased ranged Unit's Attackspeed from 1.50 to 1.60 Seconds.
- Increased Attackspeed gain per 1 Gold from Gloves by 3% (from 15% to 18%).
- Reduced Cooldown of Bloodlust to 4 Seconds but now only lasts for 16 Seconds.
- Reduced Attackspeed gain from Endurance by 5% (from 25% to 20%).
- Increased bonus Damage from Heavy Hammer by 3 (from 5 to 8).
- Replaced slow Orb with Drunken Haze (changed from slow to Miss). Also increased it's Cooldown from
10 to 12 Seconds but increased Area of Effect from 320 to 350.
- Replaced Fire Bomb with Poisonous Arrow and reduced it's Damage by 2 (from 20 to 18).
- Poisonous Dagger deals now 1.66 Dmg/s for 2 Seconds (was 2 Dmg/s for 4 Seconds) but now slows
the Enemies Attackspeed by 15%.
- Added Molotov Coctail.

Finally!

I've played and hosted this game several times on bnet. It's quick and strategic. I love how the decisions are spaced between rounds. There is hardly a snowballing effect - the 1 gold for a round win is a small reward for people who go strong early unit, over late combo. Everything feels like it has a counter, and every new unit seems impactful. Thanks for making this.

A nice low-APM map!
+ Love the fact that you only gain 1 gold to prevent snowballing players
+ The computer players are doing a fine job! As you mention in the map, it's mostly up to RNG ^^
+ Fast paced, you clearly designed the battles to be short but exciting to watch!
+ Balanced gameplay, It feels like none of the abilities are OP.

- After just 2 games, I feel like I have discovered most of the map. A few more items and abilities would not hurt.
- I would like to see my enemies inventory slots. That would help new players and I would have something to do when watching the battles.

Thank you for creating this high-quality map!

Hey, thanks for the positive Review but i must disappoint you, i won't work any further on this Map (at least for now). It was meant as a short "mini" Project in which i didn't put much Time and Effort. Hower i achieved my Goals (the 4 "+") with it, so you are free to edit (counts for anyone) the Map aslong as you give me proper Credits. Have FUN!

You were actually right. There was a Bug which let the Game crash if there were more than 8 Players (that surprisingly nobody else has noticed that before, yeah blame me it's really hard to find so many Players to test but whatever, thanks for pointint that out +rep) that i hopefully have fixed now.

Also i added a few balance Changes. HF!
