TOUCH OF SPIRIT

The main objective is very simple: defend till the last.
Enemies will spawn at all four directions and gradually swarm around a central target: YOU, the Wisp.
By using only arrow keys, each correspond to a direction an energy bolt is released to damage enemies in a line. Some enemies are tougher than the rest, so you have to click multiple times.

The game is
over when:
1) the Wisp is dead
2) the Wisp successfully kills the final boss
OR slays the Golden Seal (outdated)

FEATURES
Filter

A filter that changes color according to the Wisp's health. If it turns with a tint of red, it means the Wisp HP is too low. (Outdated)

Wisp Tint (new)
The Wisp color will depend on the percentage of HP left. The redder it is, the more critical it is.

Innate Abilities
The Wisp has two abilities that will be granted across time:
1) Energy Burst - Releases damaging orbs to surrounding units
2) Will O'Wisp - Releases swarms of orbs that attacks surrounding units. It also heals the Wisp


Totem
There are 4 totems around the Wisp, and (only for now, 3) can be upgraded to boost your game:
1) Heal - It heals your Wisp every 2 seconds for 15 HP.
2) Raise - It raises the undead from the corpse to help you fight those foes
3) Terror - Reduces the damage dealt and HP regen of enemies.


Bomb Barrel (new)
A Bomb Barrel will move slowly across the scene. If you are able to destroy it, it will deal 2000 damage to every enemy unit. It respawns after killed. (new)

Edited: Amazing idea to be honest. The concept is really great. Couldn't pass after level 3 though :/ It's because the enemies spawn too fast in such early waves. Normally, and in every defense map, each wave of creeps advances in power as the game goes on. Coming so many enemies in lvl 1, 2 it's not so great since it becomes really hard even from the start. Also, if you press the arrow keys simultaneously, the camera tilts. It's not such a big deal but it becomes annoying at some point. For now, voted for "Needs fix". Update the map accordingly, since it's really a good start for you. I loved playing this map but in the current state is not ready for an approval. :)

Yeah I realised the camera issue. I already set the periodic timer to 0.01 s. What else can I do to prevent this

I would love to help, but the scaling and movement of camera are not my best in the editor. :( you can create a thread to ask for some pieces of advice :D

Thanks for the feedback. Here's my reply:
1. Difficulty option is under progress, because I don't know whether this is too hard for you all because I finished the game yesterday.
2. No. I intend on fixing it on one place because I wanna keep it simple.
3. Final boss will only arrive at Level 50. Guess I should have added the condition earlier on.
4. Mini-bosses? I've thought about it, but so far I need to know how difficult is the default. Will add one or two later if that is.
5. No. Blizzard's Wisp is horrible at tinting. It looks so scrawny and nasty when it is given a tint.
6. Totems are automated, like allies, so no control over them. For innate abilities, they are released at a chance when pressing the arrow keys, except that Will O'Wisp has a 3-minute cooldown.

I have categorized it as Defense/Survival and Minigame. No?
Actually, I only intend to, you know, use arrow keys solely throughout the game. At first, I have never wanted any extra keys. I know it sounds bland, well, it's like a platform game where you only use arrow keys. Perhaps the enemies can, in turn, be spiced up? I intend to include more abilities for the enemies.


Edit: Must I strictly adhere to the map description template? Just wonderin'. You placed "pathing" there, does this mean my pathing has problems?

You should make it be optional, as in to choose the difficulty right at the start.

Alright, difficulty sets in!

Maybe more bosses?
Only 1 final boss, but I have a mini champion around that spawns periodically.


Alright newer version is up. Introducing features:
1) Difficulty (Easy, Hard and Default)
2) Miniboss (Currently burst into smaller minions upon death)
3) Ultimate (Starfall, hence it is a channeling spell!)
4) Golden Seal (Kill it to get an immediate victory, if you can)
5) Spawn Rescale (Slower spawn in the beginning then greatly increases in strength and might)
6) Wisp Tint (No more adjusting filters. The Wisp will now change color corresponding to its health)
 
I liked the new features though there is a bug where the game says my ultimate is ready for 5 times after I finished casting my ultimate.
The boss didn't show up when I reached 50. I continued to play till I was 70 but still it didn't come.
I couldn't die. My wisp became blood red and I still didn't die. Maybe the swarm couldn't finish me .-.
Ranged units block melee units.
Do you want that black shadow effect when casting carrion swarm? If not edit the original carrion swarm art- edit to change it.
And IMO the swarm locust sound doesn't fit the spirits. It's your choice.

Played for 24 minutes.

Oops, my bad. It's a faulty feature for that ultimate bug and boss bug.

Yeah, I've reduced the ranged unit spawn time. But blocking it is a good thing, especially those skeletal minions you have. They help you finish the creep away while you focus on other lanes.
I'll try to change the black shadow effect. Actually i intentionally leave it see who gets damaged.

Will update a new one soon.

I don't know when the boss didn't come I decided to die to see the color changing. The swarm attacked me for about 3 min or so but still nothing.
I'll try to change the black shadow effect. Actually, I intentionally leave it to see who gets damaged.
You might want to change it to more light option considering the wisp is a good being ^^

Update (v0.00f):
1) Ultimate tooltip reworked
2) Buff boss, with additional skills
3) Buff champions
4) Fix missing boss, again
5) Replace Golden Seal with Bomb Barrel (explodes for 2000 global damage upon death)
6) Change visuals of the shadow effect from Carrion Swarm
7) Locust swarm sound looping now removed
8) Easy mode is now, really easy

I think it would be great if you made a tower defense map out of it (like the game Stronghold): The enemy units attack from all sides and the player has a certain amount of place to build structures (towers, ressource buildings, unit production etc.). Then the player has time to build a base or castle to survive the first wave, lets say 4 minutes. Some of the towers could have that blaster function that you used in your map to destroy the enemies. And the thing in the middle of the main building has to survive. Of course it must be shown how much health it has left. The difference to other tower defense maps would be the base/castle building and ressource managing elements like in Stronghold. And with buildings for unit production the player could create his own army to defend the spirit/mainbuilding. Of course the player should also have a free camera and should also have the possibility to place his own walls. The game is already quite entertaining but these new elements would make it great and innovative. The terrain and building in your map look absolutely brilliant. This here is how i would especially like your map:
