Throne of Azora: The Beginning - Episode 1

-Tyci Presents-

full

Map Info:

In the kingdom of Azora there lived Ethan Longdarion, a boy whose dream was to join the army and win wars. Shortly after signing up, his dreams are ratified by the true horrors of war. All is not dark however, as Ethan finds a few companions with whom he can share this journey. Their relationship plays a big part in this tale. This map tells a story of a simple soldier and his fellow brothers in arms in a realistic, medieval, fantasy setting.
A prequel to my previous map Throne of Azora. Do not worry, as it is not at all necessary to play it in order to enjoy and understand Throne of Azora: The Beginning. Nevertheless I still recommend doing such in order to get the full experience :)

Gameplay:

Or the lack of gameplay. I have decided to make it a lengthy cinematic, as it is the best way for me to tell this story. This is the first episode of the series with four more yet to come.

Throne of Azora: The Beginning - Ep1 (Map)

Too bad the catapults aren't launching anything visible. Why were they talking so much on the battlefield standing still? I'm not very fond of the way you have to run this map. However, it's a well made little film. Approved.

Very impressive, that soothing female voice during the introduction just caught me off guard.

Fighting sequence (training): nice animations and choice of models.
^ the same is true for the major battle event.

There are some minor grammar oversights (don't keep royalty waiting -> don't keep his majesty(lordship) waiting).

Of course, a cinematic would benefit greatly from voice acting.

All in all i've been pleasantly surprised, 4/5 for now.

@A]mun Having voice acting would be pretty awesome, but I believe that having no voiced dialogue is better than having bad voice actors. With my budget (none :D ) I cant hire good actors, only ask friends and family, who as you can guess arent great actors nor are they even English speakers ^^

Nevertheless, really happy you enjoyed it <3
