The Watcher VIII : Showdown : The Final Battle Between Tainthar, Freya, Kojiro and Anubis has come.. who will win and who will be the one sacrificed?
Story So Far:
Tainthar begun on a quest to destroy Anubis to protect his sacred village, then when Anubis finally confronted Tainthar, there was a battle, but Anubis escaped and Tainthar was badly hurt then as Anubis and Tainthar had their second confrontation Tainthar had a companion Freya from Moonlight Citadel which was destroyed by Anubis. Then as Anubis opened up a new world using an ancient portal, evil force's poured into Tainthar's world and begun raining hell upon it, then they called upon a long lost warrior's help, Kojiro, who helped them in their conquest for revenge against the god of war Draktharl. Anubis, Freya, Kojiro and Tainthar all worked together to destroy Draktharl, and succeeded, or so they thought, then as they traveled to the Draktharl's world Everything was different and Anubis managed to absorb a Magma Generator Giving him immense power, Now in their 3rd Confrontation Freya, Tainthar And Kojiro all face Anubis in a Deadly face-off which one of the side's will win? Good or Evil...

The Watcher VIII are created by xDeathKnightx. The map certainly follow the submission rules and have all necessary detail to show a visual of what it was all about.

The terrain was extremely poor and at unacceptable level for a cinematic. A cinematic are suppose to have at least a decent quality terrain and not a flat terrain with 0 tiles variation and 0 destructible/doodad just like the image below.

What I seen was a cinematic that seems to be done in a rush or the map maker was too lazy to work on it. If you are lazy to work on it, take a rest before you work on it again instead of releasing it in such a hurry.

You even have several typo errors in your cinematic, take a look on it; you would probably notice several typo errors. If you have trouble with it, you should find someone to look after it.

Next is the camera, the camera was poorly set as well. There is several times where the camera was either way too off, too stiff without any single motion or vibrating too often.

Making the camera shake is fine, but doing it too frequent make it bad and eye sores to be watch. Look at this screenshot below, you would notice how many times it goes off the position.

The camera even penetrate the body of Tainthar; camera are not suppose to do that (Refer to the 3rd screenshot).

The battle scene was poorly done, there is a huge sfx usage that cause the entire screen to be lagging. You are using a massive sfx without destroying the effect; making it lag and unpleasant to be watch.

The battle have lot's of waiting syndrome and overused sfx. The slow motion did not even execute it very well especially when Anubis unleash the power to Tainthar and he reflex it by swirling.

The triggering was definitely negative as well, there is many way to make the trigger cleaner and efficient to make it much pleasant to be view and yet you did not do so.

The quality of this map leave a lot of doubtful question of it being approve. At it's current quality, it was 2/5 (Lacking) for user standard but was 1/5 (Unacceptable) at staff standard and does not reach the min standard of approval.

As for now, I vote for 1/5 (Unacceptable) due to massive flaw in this cinematic. Until the author improve it, this map cannot be approve.

Vote 1/5 (Unacceptable) and rejected till update.

What need to be fix?

Terrain - This is your priority, it was too blank to be called as cinematic.
Camera - Too choppy, poor angle, weak motion and excessive use of shake.
Battle scene - Remove wait syndrome, fix the timing, reduce sfx usage.
Trigger - Remove memory leak and wait action, use loop instead of massive sfx setup.

I'm sorry you seem to think i rushed this , i didn't though, many times my computer has been crashing and causing me to lose work,+ i haven't been able to work properly recently because of school, so sorry about that too.

I will update this sometime soon and try to fix the flaw's in it.

Well I can see you have cleared up the memory leaks, and made your new version 1.24 compatible, so well done in doing this, aswell as taking in the criticism about the terrain and it doesn’t seem flat now. anyway so +rep and congrats on the update.
 
I dont have the time to give you my "official" review right now(but maybe later):
[+]The Combat was fine.
[+]There is custom music.
[+]Custom loading screen+preview screen.
[-/+]The Description is...acceptable, but you could give us more information.
[-]The Terrain.....Too Flat!nothing more to say^^
[-]The Camera work is'nt that good, maybe make it move faster and there are alot of times where the camera is'nt moving. You should avoid that.

Overall:2/5, i wont vote for rejection or approval. So if you fix the things i said, then it'll become alot better.
