Map isn't so simple, how you can explain at the first sight
Controlling
It's like in Wh40K: DoW. You can hire squad commanders and then add units to squads.
You can build from your castle. You can make buldings only nearly to other your constructions.
The main target of the game it's to destroy the enemy castle, then try it in the multiplayer!
Unit types
Tribesman - poor and vulnerable fighter. But it's very useful at beginning.
Archer - main range fighter with poor armor.
Crossbowman - good range fighter with high damage and good armor.
Infantry - not very good, not very bad. Melee fighter.
Swordsman - very slow warrior with high damage and awesome armor.
Knight - the fastest. The strongest. But very vulnerable.
