The Poison Vein

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
UPDATE: Less drop chance, less items to drop, less buildings.
The Poison Vein is a 1V1 melee map made for the map contest currently going on.
I like to use my alternate account Fatty to make maps, so you should see Fatty as the author for the map in map description. This is also my first melee map so any comments are welcome!
Map made for Hive Workshop Cup Melee Mapping Contest
  • 2 Gold mines, 1 for each player
  • 2 Gold mines, 1 on each side surrounded by trees
  • 2 Random building, 1 on top of river and 1 at bottom.
  • Random building can be:
  1. Fountain of Health
  2. Fountain of Mana
  3. Goblin Merchant
  • Around 10 creep camps

Well, to be honest this map will not be enjoyable to play against a human opponent for various reasons:
-The way the random items are set up, it will be a lottery. Please check how normal ladder maps are doing itemdrops.
-Expansion impossible.
-No tavern, no shop (unless the random buildings tunr out to be one).
-Creeps not on camp stance.
-Main buildings spawns too far away from gold mine, orc and human will need more than the usual five workers in the goldmine.
-Gaps between trees.
-Weird general layout, in most places you can only go forward or backwards.

It's not impossible to make the map more in line with "normal" gameplay, but it will require a lot of work if that's your goal. Even if it isnt, it should see some improvement. Therefore set to Awaiting update.

Thank you very very much for feedback!!!! I will study basic melee maps ect. . . to learn how to make this a better melee map and might make map bigger to contain shops and better pathing, remove gap in trees, and overall make it an actual melee map! Once again thank you for feedback!
