The last Outland Citadel


Short Description
This map contains in it's center a fortress guarded by a huge number of monsters (strong ones) but for those who are willing to take the challenge it contains riches far beyond your imagination.

The map contains:
  • 27 gold mines, 7 of them being in the citadel (3 of them have the max quantity of gold).
  • 4 fountains (2 of health, 2 of mana).
  • I hope you won't be to disappointed but this map doesn't have any taverns.
  • 4 Draenei villages that can provide you with items and draenei units.
  • 2 units in the center of the map from witch you can buy items and outland units.


Gameplay
The food limit has beed set to 300 and the trees have 99999 hit points so you shouldn't have problems with lumber.

2 new races have been added instead of the Human and Orc races. These new races are Void and Blessed Army.

The Void race is completed but the Blessed Army is only a beta race so don't tell me it's to empty.


The 2 remaining races (Undead, Night Elves) are nearly untouched. The only modifications are that the primary buildings produce with 5 more additional food and the shops sell a tiny primary building (trust me, if you want to build a base in that cidatel you'll need it).

About the citadel in the middle, you could try to attack it on your own, but an ally would be a great help. You can get into it using the 4 portals outside the walls. All of them transport you in the same place (in the northren part of the citadel). To exit the citadel, you'll need to fight your way through all the monsters until you reach in the southern part of the citadel. There, you will find a portal that leads you in the south of the citadel.

In it's center there are 2 bosses:

  1. Akama - He is rather stronger than the normal one but once you kill him a rune will drop from him and picking that rune will revive him as a Hero on your side.
  2. Eradar Warlock - Killing him will be a real challenge because he can kill a Hero with 3 attacks. No way you could kill him at your first attempt. The good part is that he doesn't regenerate hit points so his time WILL come. The items dropped from him will make your Hero the strongest unit in the map so think well before deciding to give up.



Tips
Because these 2 races are new (their not like naga or blood elves, which I think everyone can figure out what's what) I'll give you some tips:

Void

  • The start will be a bit difficult because the units have a higher price than units of the other races. Your first move should be to quickly make a Hero because they can take a hero from the other races plus about 3 or 4 soldiers so you should resist.
  • Your best deal would be to upgrade your primary building to level 2 and research the Gold Harvesting upgrade. From there things will become easier.
  • This race has a weak and cheap building which gives your units pretty good aura. You should consider building them in your base.
  • There are 2, let's say, super units in this race, They aren't invincible but they are a huge help to your cause. However, be sure to have a good defense before you try to train them because they train really hard and are very expensive. These units have a limit for each player so you wan't be able to have 100 of them in the same time.
  • The Heroes have very strong spells, however they have a long cooldown so using them on few or weak units will be a waste.
  • This race has the ultimate defense tactic, each building being able to cast a spell to turn them invulnerable for a set amount of time. The only down side of this tactic is that the buildings don't regenerate mana so this should only be used in a desperate situation.
  • The Void Lords last ability is the most dangerous spell in the map. The most efficient way it can be used is to take the Hero in the middle of an enemy base and keep him alive until he is finished casting it.


Blessed Army

  • The start will be very good because the Servants mine gold faster than any other units. After you make a decent defense you should consider mining a large amount of gold before starting to attack an enemy base.
  • Some of the units will spawn other units when they die so they will be able to fight more than any other units on the map. An example is the Holy Soldier: when he dies he will turn into a Soldier and when the Soldier dies he will turn into a Thug so you can say this unit has 3 lives. Note that the spawned units are weaker than the normal ones so you shouldn't rely only on this thing.
  • Like the Dark Army race, the Blessed Army has super units (just one for now) that can turn the tide of battle in your favor. Just like in the Void race you can't have but a limited amount of the same unit in the same time.
  • The Holy God doesn't have any damage dealing spells but excels in melee combat and his abilities can be used in other ways.
  • If you're in need of units for your army you can always use the Holy Gods Mind Control spell, you can figure out what it does, that can control even max level units at level 3(by level 3 i mean the 3rd level of the ability)
  • If you're in need of gold really fast note that the Holy God can turn your units in gold as well.
  • The Seraphim Hero is the ultimate healer so don't go anywhere without her.
  • Each building spawns a set number of units when they are destroyed so in case you're attacked and you don't have any units near your base to defend it don't worry.

Ok, I know, you'll tell me that I am VERY lazy but I'm out of ideas. Plus, it's like school (and social life as well) doesn't let me work on this map but I'll try to update it as often as possible, and not with just some small modifications.




  • You will need the Portal of the Void Gods upgrade before you'll be able to cast Summon the Void Gods spell, the last ability of the Void Lord, unlocked at level 15. You'll find the upgrade in the Portal to the Void building.
  • You will need the Voids true Power upgrade before you'll be able to cast the ultimate abilities of the 3 Heroes. You'll find the upgrade in the Portal to the Void building.
  • The Healing Wave ability of the Magic Essence jumps only 4 times and heals only 250 damage from 300. The good thing is that the damage doesn't decrease per target.
  • The Elder Void Walker color has been changed and the Finger of Pain ability has been replaced with the Summon Lessser Voidwalkers ability.
  • Once you start to fight the Voidwalker army in the Citadel the access to the Fountains of Health and Mana at the Entreance will be cut off.
  • The Void Guardian Model has been changed.



  • The Void Builder and Void Guardian models should work now.
  • Added a Summoner near the Eradar Warlock from which you can hire Outland units like Fel Guards, Voidwalkers and even the mighty Infernals and Doom Guards.
  • Added an Alchemist near the Eradar Warlock from which you can buy potions and scrolls.
  • Improved the terrain, mostly in the Citadel.



  • In the Draenei villages that still stand, you can buy some potions or scrolls from the Draenei Seer, and hire some mercenaries from the Draenei Darkslayer.
  • Each Infernal now drops on death an Inferno Stone and each Doom Guard droops on death a Demonic Figurine. Exceptions are the Infernos and the Doom Guards from the last level of the Citadel.
  • Some of the units drop items on death now. Most of the items are potions, scrolls and runes, for now.
  • Lowered the stats for the Void Heroes.
  • The Void Lord is the primary Hero of the Void. You won't be able to train the other 2 Heroes until you have him.



  • Almost all the new upgrades and spells have custom icons.
  • Added 3 more upgrades:


    • In the Magic Altar, the Special Senses upgrade for the Magic Essence unit.
    • In the Power Source, the Void Structure Regeneration upgrade for all the Void Buildings.
    • In the Power Source, the Void Surviving upgrade for all the units of the Void.







  • Added new icons to some units spells.
  • Added some more upgrades:


    • In the Machine Factory, the Strong wheels upgrade for the Infernal units
    • In the Machine Factory, the Powered Missiles upgrade for the Infernal Machine unit.
    • In the Machine Factory, the Void Powered Missile upgrade for the Infernal Machine and Infernal Juggernaut.

  • Removed the Finger of Pain spell from the Nether Dragon and the Inferno spell from the Infernal Juggernaut.
  • All the buildings have 3 mana, exept the Void Tower and Gererator that have 1, and the Void Obelisk that doesn' have. (Has something to do with the Untouchable Void upgrade)
  • Fixed other minor bugs.

Could someone explain me how to put screenshots so that you could see what's it like in there?

At the new race - I'm not able to see the workers model, nor am i able to see the upgrade icon for the stronghold. (I couldnt get to see further into bugs, since i couldnt play the race)

Ok, I tried the map to see if i get the same bug as you(maybe it appeared after the last time i tested it), got nothing. I even tried to download and test it (lol, downloading your own map), the same. I really don't know what's causing your problem. Anyway, someone around here should be able to give us an answer.

I just checked out the custom race. You should include a description of the race in the map description.

Here are my notes:
- The models for Void Builders and Void Guardians don't work.
- Some icons are missing their disabled (greyed out) versions.
- You can't select the town hall without making a box.
- A lot of units have the same portrait.
- Some upgrades have a passive icon (no border), which looks wrong. Same with the Void Mists spell.
- Finger of Pain icon is in a weird place. A few other spells/abilities are in odd places.
- Generator and Machine Factory selection circles cannot be seen.
- The first two Machine Factory units are basically the same, but different power levels. generally every unit should be unique in some way.
- The Void Obelisk's buff says "Endurance Aura".
- There are very few upgrades.
- Why does only one hero have a level 15 spell?
- The upgrade for improved gold harvesting mentions a unit that I didn't see. Possible an old name for the main wokrer?
- The lumber gatherer unit yells at me that a gold mine isn't entangled, rather than saying it can't mine gold.

Ok! Thank you that you made yourself the time to type a wall of comments like this (seriously, not many people do this these days),so I'll try to answer to all of them:
- The problem with the Void Builders is starting to get on my nerves, not because I don't know how to solve it, because I don't have it. No matter how many times i try to start a new game they appear and don't cause me any problems.
- I am aware that you can't select the town hall without making a box, that some icons are missing and some units have the same portrait. I'm still searching for icons and models for the race so I'll change them as soon as I can. If you know anything that might fit please tell me.
- About the Finger of Pain and some other spells, you're right there. They'll disappear on the next update.
- New upgrades will come soon.
- The Spawn was my previous worker idea. Thanks for telling me.
- I don't know why you even tried to put a Gatherer on a gold mine since their description says that they gather lumber, but, every race has it's bugs.
- I gave to the Void Lord a level 15 spell because he should be like a main hero and the other 2 should be something secondary.
- About the rest, I don't say they are completely unimportant but playing with them isn't that hard right? Of course I'll fix them but it's not urgent.

Do you have a patch file that you've modified or any other kind of modded program? It's possible you have the correct model files in your game, but not in the map, so you see them just fine, even though they aren't in the map (or their file paths are wrong).

I'm not using anything but the original world editor and the file paths ARE set correct. Anyway i updated the map so you might try this version and if you have the same problem I really don't know what should i do.

I don't think I'll have time in the next 2-3 weeks because i have a bunch of exams but I'll try to fix them after I'm done with the exams. And about your map, I tried it before you posted the comment. My favorite things were the Minerva model and the cool music, but I don't like that you can buy tomes (or was it runes, i don't know) that increase your stats. You could just buy and buy and buy and make your Hero a God. In rest, it's OK.

hmm voids are soooo advanced and most of all got chaos attk type... at least could u make the angel heroes to have divine armor?....also i think u can make void buildings much litle:) there are soo huge:))) aaaa and a good map with races wich i like they are the ones created by Fokyip i think u can find them around here on THW

OK so let's see:
1. The Void buildings will be smaller in the next version. You're right about the huge size. I don't know why i didn't notice.
2. Only the Heroes and those special units will have Chaos attack and judging by the price and food cost they pretty well deserve it.
3. The Void race is so advanced because it's complete. The Blessed Army will be like that too once i get some new ideas and models that would fit the race.
4. Sorry but they won't have divine armor. That may balance them with the Void race but will make them overpowered for the other 2 original races. Maybe the Holy God will have divine armor if i decide to improve the other 2 races.
Thanks for the comment and if you have time, could you tell me if there were any good aspects about the map, and if not, oh well.

and by the way did infernal juggernauts can cast infernal? and there is typo problem u was write "infernam"....i hope in new version ill see something new:).... in rest all good i rly liked and enjoy it:) u did a great job i wish u all the best and good luck Veny
