The Frozen Tides

Stormshock Presents

Naga Campaign: The Frozen Tides

Created by Stormshock

The Story:

In this campaign you will play with Illidan and the Naga. The story takes plays in Northrend and starts when Arthas and Illidan fight before Ner'zhul, The Lich King. In The Frozen Throne campaign, Arthas kills Illidan and becomes the Lich King, but in this campaign, Illidan somehow escapes from Arthas. Before Arthas wants to become the Lich King, he first wants to get rid of Illidan. The story continues with Lady Vashj, who's also still alive and somewhere in Northrend. Just as Illidan, she also has to defend herself from The Scourge. With the aid of Kael'thas Sunstrider, she has made a new spell caster. After she has settled in Northrend, it is time to search for Illidan. But the search does not go so smooth when Lady Vashj comes eye in eye with one the most powerful heroes of Northrend, Anub'arak.

I am late for 3 years, but I do not care. Looks like deepstrasz has already stated a lot of mistakes, but anyways, to my review: Interlude 1 : (FM - 5) 1. Why are all the interludes named like this? Interlude 1, Interlude 2...?? It is unsatisfying. 2...

Ardenian: A campaign focussing on an alternate end of TFT.
The chapters highly resemble the Blizzard campaigns, design-wise.
Tile variation is used, one or another little doodad, like rocks or other fitting ones wouldn't hurt.

The gameplay itself lacks features and exciting events.
It is disappointing that most of the time the player spends his time
fighting another and another creep group or
taking 6 minutes
to burn down an Undead base
.
I was very disappointed by the first chapter, I expected, the
Undead to hunt you down, be it with time limit or with an actual horde
being after you.

I would recommend, Stormshock, that you add quest actualizations
for quests, for example
for the ones requiring you to find 3
Snapdragons or to kill 8 ships, be it with a text message or as
displayed number in the quest log ( Found (1/3), for example))

The English in the dialogs could be better, one understand what you mean,
but the choice of words does not fit the characters or is not appropriate English.

Overall, the campaign is playable, but hardly enjoyable.
I approve it with 2/5 Lacking,
you can improve the rating considering
what I said here and in my comment below.

Hi. Stormshock! After spending hours playing your campaign and managed to finish it, I must say it was quite good but there are some things you must consider. Let me put this way.

While the terrain was mediocre. In some parts of your maps it was good and well made while there are parts that were undecorated or just flat which is a bad thing to do and it looks terrible like the last chapter where you fight the Lich King in the arena was flat and empty only the Lich King standing at the center. I'll end it up saying you could improve your terrain more especially at those late chapters which I feel needs more work.

The gameplay was the default warcraft style gameplay. The new Naga Techtree was good and quite fun. You could also add AI on the enemies since I don't think they have one because they don't construct or train their units, instead the units just pop out somewhere near the buildings. In the last chapter where you will fight the Lich King, Kael's forces vs. masses of guards inside the Citadel is impossible to pass through without using cheat, they have chaos attack and numerous while you got only few units and are quite weak.

The Cinematics was I think not good at all. You see in most of the cinematics most of your cameras are static, dialogues were written not good in some parts, there were mispelled words like the "Scourge" for example. Also in some cinematics you don't pause or hide units which interrupts the scene, In some scenes where Vashj, Kael and Illidan are talking to one another they don't face who they are talking to. Scenes are quite rushly made.

Overall I think it was so close for getting an approval but still I think it needs more work. I'll give it 3/5 and voting for Waiting for update.

Map Score
Gameplay:17 / 30
Aesthetics:10 / 20
Total:27 / 50

Rating Chart
45-505/5 Highly Recommended
35-444/5 Recommended
25-343/5 Useful
15-242/5 Lacking
0-141/5 Unacceptable

Gameplay
The extension of the Naga techtree was working well and was interesting. The game also had a good geneeral difficulty level. It was well balanced. I also like the different items you are able to pick up.Although they are the standard items of Wc3, you can feel your hero grow stronger throughout the game in a good pace. Also the high number of items available, forces you to take decisions about what items to carry with you and which items to let go. Having multiple heroes is also nice.

The gameplay is similiar to the original warcraft campaigns, but does not quite reach their level. I would suggest adding more special events such as puzzles and perhaps bossfights.

terrianforum.gif
Aesthetics
Cinematics could use some polishing. Currently they are pretty uninteresting as it is mostly a still-standing camera with no action but a conversation. The few cinematics were something is happening, the camera is stiff and not very exciting. Try using new camera angles, and make your units being the target of the cinematic move around or play animations.

The terrain could be improved. The terrain is in blizzard style, but still a little less interesting than blizzards own maps. I suggest you add more doodads and try to be a little more creative with where you put them. Also, since all maps is in the Icecrown/Northrend tilesets the maps feels very repetetive.

triggersandscriptsforum.gif
Bugs
In the mission where you are supposed to slay possesed beasts, you can finish the quest early due to the rune of rebirth. My furbolg died, and that must have caused the trigger to go off twice, making me finish the quest early, without finding the mammoth first.
In the same mission, you can go around the massive ice gate in the end of the map.

updatesandnewsforum.gif
Summary
An approvable campaign with the feeling of an extension of the original warcraft saga as it is similiar in gameplay. There are things that can be improved, but it is absolutely acceptable in its current state.

Rating set to 3/5 and vote for approval.

Chapter 1:
- There should be borders at the water areas in the North-Western edge and the middle bottom part of the map, them being open is strange
- Points in my moderation

Chapter 2:
- You could add an explanation why the door is locked
- The first attack on your base is too early. Imagine you lost all Snapdragons before, then you cannot fight the Gargoyles and you lose.
- The optional quest should not require you to guard back the son, since he is invincible.
You could either add a troll ambush on the return route and make him vulnerable, so guarding him makes sense or you could just skip the return part to save the player some time.
- You could think about moving the crypt nearer to the other Undeads buildings

Chapter 3:
- the cliffs at the Northern border of the shipyard glitch graphically. You can fix this by readjusting bthe light.
- Also, here a reason why the door is locked
- Kaels says 'burn down does tree' -> 'burn down those trees'
- It takes too long to take the Undead base down, you can reduce the time by for example removing the Altar of Darkness, an unused building
- Add a hint where the workers are

Between chapter 3 and 4, plot twist: Why don't the Naga stay with Kael in safety ?

Well for me campaing is good because i always wandered what if Ilidan suddenly escaped from Arthas and Arthas 's anger toke over him and made him hunt Ilidan down instead of fusing with Lich King.Terrain is good 5/5.As for text of objectives you need to work on your english so thats 2/5.Buildings and Units are good perfectly and orderly made to look organized so that 5/5.Building and Unit terrain in that i realy like what you did with that statue of azshara on mission 3 and undead bases are well built 5/5.Triggers are putted out good i realy loved the part when suddenly gate opens and scourge attacks you with small forces so 5/5.I belive i said all what i meant to say about this campaing because its freaking good. The only problem you need to work on is your english. So from all rates i assembled about campaing i think its worth 17/20 so i rate it 5/5.

First level: You should reveal the circle of power through fog of war.

Second level: Bit disappointed by the end, you should put the fighters closer to the crypt and have some land attacks.

Third level: Reveal the circle of power.
You might as well give control of Kael right away and mark the tree gap with runes.

Fourth level: Blood Sirens are called Summoners in the Royal Shrine tooltip.

Sixth level: Kael's Phoenix is a ground unit.
Small ground units can go around the northwest ice gate.
Arachnathid cutscene is unskippable.
You should put a circle of power at the end and reveal it.

Eighth level: Phoenix has blue teamcolor.
The giant monsters cause some problems, you should adjust their ranges and collision.
No ending.

You keep calling the Scourge the Scource.
Kind of disappointed by the lack of water levels, what good's an amphibian race if they're always on land?
It annoys me that Nerzhul decides to weaken Arthas at the beginning (especially since he wasn't responsible for it in the first place). Why not just pick up from where Frozen Throne ended, and have Arthas send his troops to deal with Illidan while he climbs the glacier?

Well, I'm not saying much that other people haven't said yet, but anyway:

It turned out to be an interesting campaign, and I had a lot of fun playing it, very Blizzard style, which I just love in a campaign! However here are some suggestions:

1 - Try to correct all the writing mistakes found through the chapters. I don't think there was anything too serious that would prevent the player from understanting what was going on, but it always looks better if corrected.

2 - The missions are very basic and repetitive. They were still fun to play, but I think you should add some more side quests and try to change the play style of each game. Every chapter was about either destroying a base or making it to some place. The chapter where you need to get Vashj through the canion with the option of destroying the enemy base was, for me, the best chapter, or at least the most different one.

3 - In my opinion, the last chapter was just boring to play, everytime I moved on with my army, more of the same... The terrain was also pretty basic... I think that this is the chapter that needs more improval. In addiction of being kind of boring, it's also very dificult. And the Lich King itself requires a tremendous amount of great micro to beat... So I think he shouldn't be so strong.

That's pretty much it, I think... The campaign is good, and is fun to play (other than the aspects I've mentioned), but it still needs improvement. I suggest you take a look at ArneXis' "The Ascension" and Tomoraider's "Curse of the Forsaken" and "Rise of the Blood Elves" campaigns for ideas. These last two in particular, as they contemplate warcraft lore and are very Blizzard-like as well. Curse of the Forsaken also has some chapters in Northrend/Icecrown Citadel, so you can check the terrain too.

Happy Mapmaking and Good Job!

Soon will finish this campaign, so far I liked it. Nice techtree for Naga, but I think you could add a unit or two, so maybe there would be more tactics available? Well there is just one ranged, one flying, one siege, two mellee and two casters, the only difference from vanilla is the Blood Siren. Well if you have time to spare and everything else done, why not at least consider it :D?
My biggest hope is that more maps get some water to swin in and use to our advantage, maybe we could get a side quest to explore the waters and as a surprise find a few abandoned buildings? Or whatever you can think of, side quests are always fun to have :)

Rated is 4/5 because I think if or when you are able to spend more time on it, making each map more interesting it can be even better.

Honestly, I didn't want to play this to not inspire myself for what I would like to finish. However, I've learned what not to do.

prologue:

-hahaha, this is really funny; it looks like a joke, making Arthas and Nerzhul so naive. Ner'zhul wouldn't have wanted Arthas to stop from killing the meaningful opposition
-the cinematic mode has latency before it goes on
-Naga units are rescued during the scene

chap1:

-Illidan was fighting Arthas in a fair duel without any troops there; it was specifically shown Illidan was left bleeding alone; there were no others
-really!? Start with level 1 and the same spells!?
-crates everywhere; what the heck is this? Did the belves go wagon frenzy and dropped everything by accident or not while fleeing?
-I guess the second Snap Dragon was hiding not sequestrated by undead
-now that was unexpected, a Tuskarr in an igloo :) or a Murloc :), sorry Mur'gul
-Illidan doesn't seem tired or hurt or anything after his battle with Arthas
-you could add some weather conditioning that from time to time decrease Illidan and his group's HP; the runes and other items found would be used to refill that lost HP

chap2:
-build a base? But Illidan's base hasn't even been touched in TFT; but I get it. You wanted to introduce the player to the Naga like any other race in the original campaigns
-enemy units don't start with full mana; don't know if intended or not
-why would undead take prisoners, especially useless ones? They usually raise dead to bolster their forces
-it seems the undead not only locked the Naga workers but resources as well
-Main Quest: Destroy the Crypt. Did they even know there was a Crypt there? Why would just a Crypt be so important?
-so, finally they decided to open the gate and come party;
-wait, Hall of the Highborne researches Naga upgrades!? Not only that but they're practically extinct or mutated or lost their tan; the thing is Naga are not the Highborne anymore
-so, a Furbolg would trust an odd (demon) looking fellow like Illidan to save his son from trolls? What makes him think he won't sacrifice his son for some demonic ritual?
-the AI attacks in this level are senseless; do they only attack with useless Gargoyles?
-instead of doing an ambush and coming bravely to defend their village, the retarded trolls came after everyone else was dead
-why/how do Furbolgs understand Illidan and the other way around? Is there really a common tongue everyone knows or are they all mind readers?
-but really, four trolls is not even an ambush
-units selected during the scene where the Furbolg's son is met

chap3:
-not sure how Vashj swam in that water; I guess it wasn't for five minutes to reach the place she did; did Mana Shield protect her?
-dude, really? Level 1, same spells?
-what Mercenary Camp? Who informed Vashj about that?
-it's not like a Myrmidon wouldn't be able to smash a frozen wooden gate
-10/8 ships destroyed :D
-why are they running? Naga don't have the notion, maybe a trap?
-shouldn't there have been undead lying on the ground when Vashj met Kael? There was that undead group that went east when Vashj said they were running
-come on, Kael is no retard! He could do that on his own, not having Vashj order him like that...
-well, might as well let Vashj order him but he ain't even using it on enemy units

interlude 2:
-hahaha again. So, the idiot Arthas didn't go to merge with Ner'zhul because he wanted Illidan dead first but Ner'zhul specifically lowered his power to make Arthas come to him and not waste time with Illidan. LOL

chap4:
-"must be one old base of mine". Is Vashj starting to suffer from dementia?
-so, Kael's logic was it would be easier to defend against undead divided or was it that he was madly sure that place would be the perfect strategic point?
-Hall of the Highborne has a nelven building's soundset. An owl can be heard; it's not very nagaish
-hmm, that turtle can swallow a whole Abomination
-so, here is where Alleria lost her flute, in Northrend!
-seriously, you've got to stop spamming barrels and crates; it's so unreal
-OK, you've annihilated the Devouring technique towards the creeps to Vashj's destination
-Scepter of Healing!? If this one goes on the next levels too... such an advantage
-basically, most of the level is fighting static creeps that live on the road
-Vashj didn't run at the end. Instead she started swinging the bow tie

chap5:
-Illidan preparing an army in Northrend against Arthas!? If he still had one, it would have come for Arthas then instead of having to cower in the woods
-what is this stupidity line I'm seeing often in campaigns, "we have to free said person before it's too late"? If they wanted to kill Vashj, they could've/would've done it on the spot, not wait for it...
-Anub'arak doesn't use his ultimate and doesn't defend his base

chap6:

-I'm surprised no Naga Royal Guards yet
-this level is easy. They don't even have one hero... just one base...

interlude 3:

chap7:
-did they also reproduce in the process of building that base? The major force has to go to meet with the others not protect that base
-it seems Kael gained 7 levels building a stupid base
-your puns are nice
-how did a Banshee possess a creature that is immune to magic :D? Also, how was a unit that's higher than level 5 possessed? At least, the didn't possess any of mine
-I guess, the end force could be a lot stronger since: Mammoth+Ursa

chap8:
-why are the Nerubians allied with the Scourge?
-I suggest more HP and mana for the Nerubian boss cause... it's so much weaker than the Revenant boss
-even the Faceless Ones are in allegiance with the Lich King!?
-Faceless boss wannabe is also a weakling
-only the heroes can step, I mean lower the switches..
-what the heck are orcs doing here?
-the linearity and monotony; even the terrain is the same
-even the Dragonspawns are with the Lich King...
-Skeletal Mage but doesn't have mana or cast spells
-why is Illidan affected by the Trueshot of Alleria's Flute when he is not ranged unless Metamorphosis is active?
-basically, after the trio meet, enemy unit groups should be more than before
-Banish is more than useful against Arthas
-no final words? Ends just like that, with victory

2/5. Sorry. It's repetitive. Even the end stage wasn't too good.

@deepstrasz while I agree with part of your comment, aren't you being a little rough on some points? (not to say over-perfectionist) I mean, who cares how Illidan and the furbolg communicate? (Also the Night Elves speak with furbolgs all the time in WC3 campaign)

Plus, the campaign doesn't have to fit perfectly, piece by piece, in the lore; the whole point of mapmaking is to do whatever you want to do, and therefore why can't he make a few changes? It only shows originality, imo.

Last, but not least, I don't see the point on such an amount of irony...

Don't get me wrong, most of the criticism is well done, and I agree with it, but some things you said sounded kinda petty... (Sorry if I offend you, it's not my intention)

It's sarcasm over irony. It's my view. You don't have to agree with it.
(not to say over-perfectionist
Yes, that's how I like things, to tend to perfection. Nothing is/will be perfect but at least let it show work towards flawlessness.
Maybe, it's how the post writer is, at least at times.
the whole point of mapmaking is to do whatever you want to do, and therefore why can't he make a few changes? It only shows originality, imo.
I only want it to be logical. If it's only about map making, then why do a campaign set in Warcraft lore but not following it accordingly? Even as an alternate story, there have to be logical links between events. Honestly, we could debate that 50% is originality when it comes to fan fiction. Other than that, gameplay could have at least been original.
who cares how Illidan and the furbolg communicate?
I do. The original Wc creators should have addressed that too. But: sarcasm.

I always like it when others come in to defend or at least have a say to my "critique". I usually want the creator to do that as it's addressed to him/she.

I only meant that you didn't need to be so sarcastic as it might demotivate Stormshock (or anyone else), but if you think it's the better/easier aproach, I respect it.

Sure, there have to be logical links, but the link in here is the fact that Arthas and Illidan fought and Illidan lost, regardless of troops, those would just be an add-on, so to say. I think that links can just be general events, the details can be different, depending on the person who works with them. When you make a movie, you don't always follow the books in a strict way, but that doesn't mean it can't be a good movie, just as good as the book (I'm thinking on The Hobbit, while the movies were great, the book was a great disapointment to me). I agree that the gameplay itself could have been more original.

I definitely hope you check out my campaign and make a review! (either from chapter 1 that's live for testing or the final product when it comes out) :D

(I'm thinking on The Hobbit, while the movies were great, the book was a great disapointment to me).
Well, on my end, the movies are not that good. The book is for children. The first one/movie was nice but when it started to widen and lengthen for no reason into a trilogy only to have useless action in the picture... I still remember that stupid scene where the white orc got out of ice like a dolphin. So unreal, even for Tolkien! Other things like Gandalf being held in a cage like Decard Cain instead of being killed or unexplained facts like how/why did the shapeshifters disappear/were not present in the LotR films etc. etc.
Sorry... I'm deviating.

I will gladly look at the final product, at least final in terms of all levels being playable.
I only meant that you didn't need to be so sarcastic as it might demotivate Stormshock (or anyone else)
It's better to be harsh than let it look like: "ah well, it's no biggie, it works this way too, who likes it likes it". The result will be products with the same or worse quality.

Bro i see you love to hate stuff. So if you hate this campaing then you hate Blizzard for making the game.IF you want logic on how Ilidan comunicates with fulborg/furbolg ask blizzard how they made a secret where litle timmy is selling frost shards to Death Knight Arthas who is purging the villages of the silverhand and killing his people everywhere in lordaeron. If you want logic after you see every litle detail that abelhawk discovered in the secret routes thru ORIGINAL BLIZZARD CAMPAING then you are a bigger asshole then i imagined. The custom campaign is named custom for a reason.

One sees what the person wants.
First of all, I think.
So if you hate this campaing then you hate Blizzard for making the game.
Great analogy.
ask blizzard how they made a secret where litle timmy is selling frost shards to Death Knight Arthas
Secrets/Easter eggs are not to be taken seriously. They are not part of the actual story.
If you want logic after you see every litle detail that abelhawk discovered in the secret routes thru ORIGINAL BLIZZARD CAMPAING
Who said the original campaigns are perfect? They make sense, much more than this one does.
The custom campaign is named custom for a reason.
Meaning? What's the argument here?

One sees what the person wants.
First of all, I think.

Great analogy.

Secrets/Easter eggs are not to be taken seriously. They are not part of the actual story.

Who said the original campaigns are perfect? They make sense, much more than this one does.

Meaning? What's the argument here?
The argument is about that you ddont understand what custom means.Blizzard didnt made custom campaign section just for the campaigns that have the original storyline in them like the ones tomoraider creates. They made it also for this kinds of campaing. So what if the comunicate like that.So what.I can make Lich king talking to a bird and what would you say then :D."The custom campaing is named for a reason" means that its made for people to create their very own campaigns that dont need logic like the one you ask. They are made as far as i can see for that people to never get bored of the game.Like a player plays campaign a thousand times and he is bored of it and he wants to try something new and diffrent. The custom campaign section is made for players to make their own campaigns and so others can try it out. They were made so the game can move on.Not like you finished the main storyline and the game. And who cares about the logic. The best caracteristic that custom campaign should have for me is no logic. The more logic it has the dumber campaing to me is.SO i abandon the logic of the campaign and play it so i can like it.Look things from diffrent perspective sometimes and maybe you will like them then.

I'm sorry you've misunderstood the whole deal. I was writing about the logic of the events not the fact that they were changed.
I can make Lich king talking to a bird and what would you say then
I would write depending if it made sense or not. This isn't about freedom of action, it's about a story making sense.
"The custom campaing is named for a reason" means that its made for people to create their very own campaigns that dont need logic like the one you ask.
Don't expect good rating for something from where there is little to learn from. Honestly, you're deviating the discussion to something else. This campaign is not even meant to be a parody. Its gameplay is not that enjoyable. A game is about gameplay. That's what a game is. If the creator wanted to make a "movie" then there is/are this/these thing called cinematic scene(s).
They are made as far as i can see for that people to never get bored of the game.
That's not an argument. Some might not want to play something that is not considered quality.
Like a player plays campaign a thousand times and he is bored of it and he wants to try something new and diffrent.
Yes, there are many campaigns on this site that are really good in so many ways including the story.
The custom campaign section is made for players to make their own campaigns and so others can try it out
Players will also criticize and learn what to do and not to if they ever will create one themselves.
Not like you finished the main storyline and the game
The game also has multiplayer and there are so many maps. You don't actually need a whole campaign to keep the game alive. Campaigns are just a bonus.
And who cares about the logic
Not just me.
The more logic it has the dumber campaing to me is.
Well I'm sorry for your paradox. Some like to think and play. If you like that kind of thing, you can just play games that have no story. They're still good games. The thinking may or not be that much integrated in the gameplay. But when it's about a story, it should have logical events and links if it's not intended to be a parody or satire.
Look things from diffrent perspective sometimes and maybe you will like them then.
Not really an option. If I had considered it that bad, I wouldn't have finished it, not to mention waste time writing so much about it.

-Interlude 3: on Loading screen in the text misspelled the decide word. To be honest could you improve this cinematic?
More cameras, mask, camera shaking, or some effect after all it is the birth of the New Lich King.
In general you may improve the cinematics by using more cameras and filter and try to clear out those Cinematic mode delays.

-Another issue, in Chapter 6 the main quest has the same text from Chapter 5, about rescue Lady Vajsh. Also, I feel like this mission should have been harder.
It was easy, but the map is big and there are alot of neutral creeps but I did not see the point to hunt them when I can finish fast and easy the mission.
The AI should have had here a hero who is attacking aswell I think(Arthas' base after all), and adding a gold mine somewhere, neutral buildings, an optional quest
would give motivation to explore the map.

- Maybe be possible you are going to create a shop building for the Nagas? or place some Goblin Merchants/Marketplaces?
I wanted to sell items sometimes or buy scrolls and potions etc.

-About the last mission: there is a bug; when you get the control of the Blood Elves(Blood Elves Computer Player name misspelled anyway),
the player doesn't get direct control of the 2 Swordsman and you cannot control them the same time with the rest of the other Blood Elven units, was annoying.

-In general: the Slow Poison of the Snap Dragon unit and Lady Vashj's Frost Arrows are broken together,
these two slow attack speed and movement debuffes are crazy powerful(95% attackspeed reduction? wow) .
Even Arthas, the mighty Lich King was also crippled by it. I do not know but do something about it, lower Frost Arrows effectiveness or something because it is not balanced.

-May add more types, more different kind of quests(killing a 'boss' like creature, collect certain items, hold and defend the base for x time, need a certain item to get to y place etc.)

-Few of those powerful items, to nominate one, the Ring of the Archmagi should be earned through quest or harder way,
the brilliance aura provided excellent sustain, my Blood Sirens never ran out of mana.

- Fighting against a few more 'random' undead hero would be great. I was abit suprised if the Arthas and the Lich King cannot deal
with Illidan why they do not call back Kel'thuzad to Northrend?

- The last Chapter could use some polishing, it is Ice Crown Citadel; the entire place was empty, just creeps and the walls.
Improve the terrain and add more enemies(Or make stronger ones) to the part after the two army is meeting and heading close to the 'Throne Hall'.

Personally I have enjoyed most of the campaign. Keep update it and will be better. 4/5

Alright...I played through it and the first though it came into my mind was...Thats it?Srsly this campaign was pretty short...
Anyway...It was enjoyabel but thats all...Nothing special.
No custom skins, tech tree hardly tweaked (just added one new unit) and naga as a tech tree are pretty "'empty" so you can work on them with relative easy and add new features(e.x:unit, upgrades, buidlings) etc

Terrain in some parts was okay and in some others it looked like it was rushed(talking about final chapter)
Lack of in game "talking" i mean when your about
To Free Vash and you see Anoob'arak guarding her the boor cockroach does not say a single word...I know this isn't really that important but still it adds to the games atmoshphere or where you are facing LK generals

As for bugs i did not notticed any

Overhall as i said just another campaign nothing special even tho i have to commend the good grammar (mine is pretty shit as you might have noticed by now),Hints and the diveristy on chapters and quests+ sidequests

I overall give a 6/10. The plot is good but the terrain could be improved, it could have custom abilities and units... And you should put an Epilogue.

Question in the last camping have you ever had one of the 3 heroes die but you still kill the lich king and end up getting a win?

Hi Stormshock.

So, I finished your campaign today, and just wanted to leave a short review. I wanted to make a longer comment to add suggestions to it, but figured it's probably pointless, considering how long ago this was uploaded, let alone updated.

+ Difficulty-wise alright
+ Blood sirens were a great addition
- No variety, repetitive
- Terrain was very blunt and boring. Way too many trees. Narrow pathing
- No eastereggs/secrets, always straightforward
- Too many itemdrops. My heroes were stacked as early as mission 3
- Took too long to get a mission going, especially Chapter 2

My final verdict is 2,5/5 (played it on Hard)

Weird cinematics on chapter 1-2 (Other rest will find out soon)

- Illidan is too weak to die in such ghouls?.
- Naga Siren thought the stone was Illidan itself because its hard :xxd:.

- Naga Murloc looking at somewhere around the snow patches

- lich king harmed arthas to his last important task , is lich king dat dumb?

Pros in gameplay

+ Blood Siren was a nice addition:thumbs_up:.
+ Other "models" fits the circulation of the structure .

So many item drops! :goblin_wtf:

+ Second chapter = not so many

- Chapter 3 to (ending) so many!:vw_death:

Cinematic Reviews

- Not so realistic camera's

- So many unsighting! Are they mad at each other or are they disgust cuz if a naga sees a naga =

Overall Total

:fp: - 3/5

Status = Poor:cry:

I am late for 3 years, but I do not care. Looks like deepstrasz has already stated a lot of mistakes, but anyways, to my review:
Interlude 1 : (FM - 5)
1. Why are all the interludes named like this? Interlude 1, Interlude 2...?? It is unsatisfying.
2. Though this is the problem with every interlude, I would like to say that these interludes were really short, and it should have been with other Chapters itself. It is not prudent to make whole new maps and make really short interludes and add them to make it look as if there are a lot of maps.
3. Really strange interlude, by the way. Why does Arthas want to kill Illidan before going to the Frozen Throne? Ner'zhul was waiting for him, and constantly calling him as seen in Blizzard's TFT . Also, the last cinematics showed Arthas becoming the Lich King, right? Why not start after that?
4. As stated by Mr. Perfectionist Guy above, the Murgal Reavers get rescued.
5. Why not Elapsed Game time is 0.01 seconds, instead of 1 second for the cinematics?
2/5 for this interlude. Lacks sense and not necessary.
Chapter 1 : (FM : 10)
1. Same latency before cinematics.
2. How did Illidan have troops with him? He was alone in the fight in TFT. I am now thinking that this might be an alternate ending to TFT. Is it?
3. Level 1 for Illidan?? Aw, man.
4. The over-usage of crates as stated by Mr. Perfectionist. Lmao reading that sentence @deepstrasz
5. You hid the Snap Dragons well. I like it!
6. I mean, why are Snap Dragons lying here and there? Aren't they supposed to be captured by the Undead?
7. Aren't the troops of Arthas supposed to follow Illidan? (As stated by you in the last Interlude)
6/10 for this. I liked it, but it could have been much better.

Chapter 2: (FM : 10)

1. First senseless thing, why would undead lock up mere peasants of the Naga? And why don't they raise them as undead instead? Have they become kind?
2. Meh, only gargoyles? No other attacking troops?
3. Gargoyle attacks are really easy to handle. Why not send Aboms and other troops to really make it challenging?
4. Love your puns ! Extra +2 for that!
5. The triggering of the gate opening is late. It should have been just as the Halls of the dead is destroyed.
6. Why not reduce the amount of undead buildings? it takes you at least 10 mins to destroy them.
7. Furbolgs trusting a random demon-faced hero? Does not seem right, brother!
8. Do you even call that a Troll Ambush!? Just four berserkers?
9. The last battle before destroying the Crypt is unsatisfying, man! So easy! More Gargoyles or even Frost Wyrms?
10. The terrain is not that good. So many pathing issues!
3+2 (for puns!)= 5/10 Not that good, bro. But okay. At least it was exciting.

Chapter 3 : (FM - 10)
1. Another boring chapter which is of the same type. Why not introduce some puzzles or other things?
2. Bug: There are more than 8 ships. And it says 10/8 ships destroyed.
3. A little harder than the last chapter! Like it!
4. Mercenary Camp? How did The Nagas know about that?
5. Why force Kael to do Flame Strike? They were just talking!
6. Kael back to Level 1! Wow.
5/10 You have to work on logical sense.
Interlude 2 : (FM : 5)
1. Same about the last interlude. It is short and sweet so why not make it sweeter by adding it to a chapter? :)
2. Same naivety of Arthas. Lol. Just like the last interlude, why is Arthas insisting so much on killing Illidan first?
3. The terrain is a little better than the previous one. Good!
3/5 For the terrain

Chapter 4 :

1. How did Vashj have a base which she left forgotten? Did she come here earlier?
2. The Blood Siren seems to have some bug with cloud. Because whenever I order a group containing the Blood Siren casting Cloud to move, the Blood Siren moves too. Is this how Cloud is supposed to work? I don't think so.
3. But, the chapter is good. I enjoyed it.
4. Random troops facing random angles. Why don't they face in one direction?
5. You did a huge mistake by giving the Sceptor of Healing. It is much overpowered.
6/10 At least better than the last three chapters.

Chapter 5:
1. Again, why did the undead not kill Lady Vashj and wait for Illidan to arrive? Undead are not so kind.
2. This level has a time limit which I did not like. 30 minutes and 3 undead bases? I could do it, but it was too close.
3. There is another path to the south which leads to nowhere, just some random creeps and items. The road was too long, you could have removed it because it misguides people and wastes time exploring it.
4. Anu'barak did not attack my base. Why? Why not let him attack instead of letting him stand like a guardian in front of the gate? He is a well-known hero, not any assistant of some kind!
5. Units just spawn out of nowhere in some places. Even if I destroy the buildings, they seem to pop out of thin air.
4/10 Same kind of map :(

Chapter 6 (FM - 10)
1. Easy mission, responsible one is the Sceptor of Healing
2. Seriously, just reduce the item drops. Random drops every where!
3. Naga Myrmidons so late in the game! Was waiting for it! Good!
6/10 Okay
To be continued...

A simple and easy campaign with very tough opponents and the toughest Skeletons I've encountered so far. Necromancers are enemy number one here. No long interludes, no unnecessary talk, no beautiful grounds. The campaign runs great at 1.27 and is worth your time if you're wondering which map to play. Thanks for the variety.

It's a good campaign, but some chapters are just tedious and spread out with long distances. There's is too little dialogue and sometimes characters just stand still like mutes. No epilogue here either, final boss just dies and that's it. The campaign is over. However, I have enjoyed this campaign mostly because I played it on Reforged and it was nice seeing the models and new graphics transition smoothly.
