Thatched cottages

I started doing this a while ago and just recently finished it. Hope someone can find a use for it.

Description:
It is a thatched cottage with a small yard where another cottage is placed and expanded in the buildings upgrade animations. In the Medival Age these kind of buildings where used as house by families of the lower classes, mostly farmers, fishers, etc. Several big families lived crowded together in these primitive huts on small space.

I used this picture as reference (for the not upgraded version):
big_peasanthouse_05.png

The model only uses ingame textures (for low filesize) and has a portrait camera, team colour, the standard animations (Stand/Birth/Death/Decay) and three upgrade levels.

Updates:
-Fixed small issue in the death animation that didn't work as intended
-Made objects disappear in the end of the decay animation
-Made a separate death animation for each upgrade level
-Replaced zero scaling animations with geoset animations
-Added animated, team-coloured clothlines
-Merged objects together to reduce file size (10-20%)

Pls give credits, if you use it in your map.

what parts are team-coloured besides the doors? maybe you can add some other team colored parts like clothes on a clothesline or a flag or maybe something on the roof.

"clothes on a clothesline" -> I also had that idea!
I planned to add something like that as soon as everything else works right.
But maybe mixing up colthes and flags on the line, or two different lines, or something like that.

I love you!! :D I everytime searched for something like this for my Anno-Map. Can u make some models like this? It would be cool if I have about 3 or 4 house-models in my map.
And a question: With what programm do u did this? It is free?

Well, its a great, simple and useful model, but I think that you should do wooden walls like in your ref pic, as we have models with those kind of walls already. But I won't get angry or anything if you don't.

The house walls in the ref picture aren't wooden, just the entrance door and the little hut before the house are wooden like in my model. Also I think the farm house texture fits better to this building than making it have only wooden walls.

Yay, I planned on also doing versions of the next two levels of the Anno houses (citizen and patrician stage). But it will probably need some time till I finish them.
I do my models and animations with 'Gmax', convert them with the 'DeX-script' and further modify them with notepad, and yes the programms/scripts are for free.

Well, ain't that a cool idea: upgradeable farms for your campaign pleasure.

Question: is there an animation showing it being build upon like each race's town hall? Or does it just poof into a bigger group of houses?
