A nice Tauren-themed building. Works in-game. Approved!

I don't know about being a defensive "Tower" (what does it shoot, and from where?), but I love this anyway. Fantastic little Tauren building model!

I'm currently working on making whole Tauren race, maybe Centaurs will be next.
Very glad to hear that. : ) Not only because we've always lacked for solid Racial Building Sets, but especially ones with the aesthetic cohesion brought about by being from one author.

Well, It would seem I do not agree with the majority here. Looking at different structures from wow and their shape language I consider this a really interesting take on a watch tower. The shape language is unique to the melee and yes, it does not look like a traditional tower = and that's a good thing. It respects the lore and their culture, good job man!

Really now, it has a really nice platform Kyrbi-senpai, orc tower/burrow style.
The openings on the sides would launch spears like burrows do I would think. Or is it just me? Hmmm...

Oh definitely, I'm all for that variance in silhouette/shape language. That's kickin'. I'm just not sure I see it as very "tower-y", aside from being tall & thin.

Well so you make a good point; it does have a big open section for someone to stand there & lob/shoot projectiles.

In a way that's part of the issue, though. While I've always though "dudes actually standing in towers" would be a cool concept, Warcraft really went in a different direction right from the start. Every tower either has a straightforward method of producing projectiles (Ancient Protector, Spirit/Nerubian Tower, Cannon/Arcane Tower), or it's sort of implied by a hidden section of the structure (Guard Tower, Watch Tower).

So the big platform (where a guy should be standing to shoot stuff) is a little weird for that (either you put a guy there to shoot stuff & now it makes sense but doesn't fit Wc3, or you don't it and fits Wc3 but doesn't make sense as a tower).

As an alternative, consider walling up that section with little arrow-holes poking out (like the Guard Tower). Or maybe adding a sort of "magical doohickey" (orb? Totem head? etc) that would allow it to be a "magic-shooting Tower" in a way that makes sense. Or get creative; maybe a special (magical?) mirror that reflects the sun's beating rays into a focused Sun-Beam of damaging energy? (What else are Tauren all about?)

Personally for "Tauren Towers" I've always kinda loved the old Ominous Horizons take; they gave them giant stone totem-towers with leering faces & jutting stone horns, which fired some kind of energy at enemies (as well as mind-controlling them or something). Taurens, like Trolls, feel like a race that could have a sort of "totem/ward" as a tower.

wink wink

Everybody here raises good points on both sides of the tower design argument. If it's meant to work similar to a burrow, maybe Kyrbi0's point about the style of towers could be easily addressed by filling the "windows" with simple black planes, blacking out the inside, and then have a row of spears leaning out against the railing, as if they were laid there in preparation of being thrown by the units entering inside, with half of the spear handles going behind the black plane and half sticking out?
