Map Info


A mini shooting game that has 13 rounds,
Each rounds will provide lumber that shop required,
You can buy guns,throwings,armors,knife and reload enchancer.
You can also gain lumber by killing your enemy as a bounty of their death,
Upon death all items will be dropped,
But before death is knocked down,
A knocked down can be rescued by an ally player,
Simply get near to rescue and team up again.
You can use arrow keys to freely move your camera facing at your main unit's position.

Hitting is random. Even with the aim ability, although the shoot ability should automatically aim, weapons might not hit even bazooka which is supposed to have some AoE. Not to mention you can hit yourself with the bazooka if you're near a tree but...

As always, beta versions go to Map Development but whatever.

First of all, the GIF preview. Kinda neat, haven't seen it applied to maps before, only to special effects and such.
Still, there isn't much seen on the image from the Maps page. I only clicked because it was moving.

Also, make sure to prepare for future updates with a Changelog section ('hidden' tag or 'spoiler').
Most of the BB codes are really simple: basically a start + end point for a given format; like [ + ] brackets. Just care to close each such bracket and don't intersect them like that: ( [ ) ]

I tried the map in solo player(with computer) and I became happy with playing this.
Congratulations that you created a really nice map with nice gameplay.
But as @Kerael said, you must create description. If you want, I can create a simple description with Map Description - Templates
Bad Points:
1.When you decrease camera angel(between 0-20 degrees), the game shows something blue.
I don't know how can you solve this problem, but I suggest you set camera limit to 20 or 30 degrees.
2.Sometimes when you pick up the gun very fast, the fire ability doesn't add to your abilities.
3.It's a really little problem but as a fan of your map, I think I must tell this to you: When someone is fallen and you kill him, he stands up and play death animation. For this, I haven't any idea.
Good Points:
There is a lot of good points that I listed some of them:
1.Fun and unique gameplay
2.Different guns
Suggestions:
I have a lot of suggestions for you:
1.Add another items? Like armors, grenades, gadgets etc.
2.Change the target type of fire ability to point. because it's simple to select the enemy as target and kill! Edit: Also when you shot with a multi beams gun to a unit target, a bug happens
3.Clear units in mini-map? For more tactical gameplay.
4.Making different guns by adding unique things to them. Like fire cast time, fire cd, etc.
5.Why you used the flag model for guns? Also you named all of them as gun. How can we know what gun is in that point?
6.Size of some of guns are very bad, I think it's better to re-size them.
7.Change the map? You can add many things to map, strategic points (like hill in this version), mini-guns, buildings and others.
8.Limit players for guns they can have.

This is my frist review on a map(with details), and I leaved this reply because I really enjoyed the map with playing it.
If you want, after playing it with my friends, I will feedback to you their suggestions.

About bad points
1. I dont know why that bug happened, blue fog shows? I test the map and ends 13 rounds 20+ times and i didnt encounter that,, the Angle Of Attack was limited to 270(top view) bound like 90 degrees
And 360 bound (opposite ange) like 0 degrees to prevent them show the very under of terrains.
2. I can easily fixed that if its a bug but. I meant that way to remind how clumsy players are,, because first round was auto show the fire action.
3. Maybe i can fixed that mess.,, even me thought of that,, okay i will fixed that.
About sugestions
1. Very well if only i have a model maker,, that will create armor like soldiers,, i would,, the only thing i have is helmet,, which is rioy helmet,, but i was planning to implement it next updates..
2. I meant to do that,, like a focus shot,, but when your target is moving obviously only some bullet will be hit on target..
3. What do you mean?? I should not delete the left soldier instead?
4. There is possible i can do that..
5. Future update you can recognize them,, when you target an item,, a multiboard will show a details of the item but if the item has not yet picked up it will show unindentify.
6. Actually i just attach then i can control their size I really cant resize them because the warcraft i have is only 1.27b. Im very sorry..
7. Good suggestions,, like halo? There is a thing where can ride a machine gun? Awesome,, next update i will do my best..

New Notes and Suggestions:
1.It's very hard to find your enemy now with mini-map, can you add the north way in your selection cricle?
2.When a team wins the round, other teams' soldiers play victory animation too, Also killed ones play it.
3.Why only heavy guns? You can add pistols too. also, having knife is a good idea.
In my opinion, you should add a market(for guns) and kill bounty to have a better gameplay.
4.If you don't want to make market for guns, Why there is gun in starting area? It's not better to randomize it?
5.How about limited ammo? For example, when you pick up machine gun, you found it very well, so you use it always, but if you set a limited amount of ammo for each gun, you use it better and in better postions
6.Why you can't pick up guns of killed players? It's not better to drop guns on die?

Good evening.

I think the map is well-made in its simplicity, but also needs more work to really shine.
Terrain and Camera require additional consideration, in my opinion.

Terrain

1. Regarding the blue fog, it's a natural thing. May not look so organic, however.
Would highly recommend spreading fog's min/max distances to something like 1000 - 10 000 and adjusting its color to something of the surrounding gamma. Like the winds I painted with a color of a tree's pixel.
By the way, winds would look amazing on this kind of map with a lot of heights going on. :wthumbsup:
You can make a wandering flying locust unit with a model of Tornado - Slow Debuff (little circular wind made of ribbon) or something more sophisticated like custom wind models out here.

2. Would love to see a small inn somewhere around the center of the map. Something contrasting and distinct would be great, like a single source of fire/warmth. Maybe you could buy something there like secondary items (vest, first aid[salve/regen scroll], speed boost, flashbang: vastly decreases accuracy/increases spread, etc.) and the items roll like in Marketplace, but no plain melee items please.

2.1 City road seems kinda wrong in such surroundings, to be frank. Suggest simply using a standard rock/stone/dalaran(darker) road tile on this one.
This place is too cold and wild for someone to care enough to paint road markings. :D Trust me.
3. I don't get it why the total size of the map is 72x72 (224x224). What is hidden in the outer lands?
I'd rather recommend you to widen the playable map area, but to retain the current camera bounds. Fill the extra space around the map with tree-wall, so the black borders of the map aren't visible most of the time. That will make the map more immersive.
I think I'll make something like that for my map as well. :P

4. Also, you can add shallow water (no cliffs) onto the icy regions which are in the valleys anyway.
4.1 Frost Trap doodads seem out of place.
Gameplay

5. I like the shooting mechanic very much. You can sorta shoot from the hip, physically reducing your accuracy.
5.1 Since mana = bullets, please subtract it as each shot is fired, instead of just a 20 manacost. Would look great on guns with burst fire.
5.2 Reload and Equip Gun should take some channeling time, when the player is vulnerable. Let's say Reload: 0.75 - 1 sec and Equip: 2 - 4 sec of channeling or 30 - 50% self-slow so you don't have to stand still. Berserk ability works best as it doesn't cancel any orders.
5.3 I think trees should be destructable by shots. But that might slow the system a tad bit. Say they take normal damage from each bullet/explosive, so they take about 5/1 of them and play Stand Hit animation when damaged with a gun. (!!!)
5.4 The guns seem to have unlimited fire range. I suggest adding small downward acceleration to bullets for the sake of realism. Also consider mountains.
5.5 Guns should be distinguishable in the inventory, even if they are intended to be in secret on the field. Preferably they would have descriptions with info on # of shots fired per use, total ammo, effective range (where damage is considerable), explosives aoe, bullet spread range, etc.
Edit: There is an option in Gameplay Constants to hide enemies' inventory. So you can give players a pre-determined item of a gun (with unique stats and descriptions/icons) when they pick a generic item 'Gun'. No need for a specific multiboard in this case.
6. It would be fair if the guns were disposable: limited but stackable charges system which represents ammo. It will prevent cramping the inventory with the same type of rifle.
But more importantly, it will prevent holding onto the big guns for too long. (!!)

7. Round-starts are weird with the first weapon dropped underneath you.

7.1 How about dropping from a Zeppelin at the start of a round? Yeah, I think it can also be fun to 'be inspired' by Fortnite here due to many similarities.
The Zep will get across a small map in 10-15 seconds and the guys will have to decide when and where they want to land along the Zeppelin random trajectory.
The first batch of items is pre-generated (if not already) so it becomes obvious where you'd like to jump to, however the items are masked as just a Gun. How about that? :D
Camera

8. The camera is too close at some places. I haven't discovered any camera commands so I only played around with PgUp/PgDown and such, but that is unfeasible in multiplayer.
I would imagine mountains providing 1x attack range (due to height) and 3x vision range (due to camera zooming out slightly). I think that would be balanced and look cool.

9. Camera seems to have a random angle which I'm not really sure about. Unless we have any control over the camera orientation in game. I have an idea for camera control. I'll let you know once I've figured it out.

9.1 Played a 1v1 game now, feels good to aim and shoot on the run. But the outcome strictly depends on the initial camera angle everyone gets, producing imbalance. (!)
Bugs

10. The main man doesn't have a proper portrait.
Also, how about the alternative texture? With blue clothes (more in line with the environment) and a goatee.

11. Orc banner as an item's model is not the best decision usually (which I have also made) because it has a small and improper selection box – makes it hard to click on the item.
Small and/or colored Iron Box is OK.

12. Clicking Aim/Attack on an item stops you with error. Go Point-Target.

13. Equipping another (or the same) gun gives a short burst of speed. Why?
In best case it doesn't affect speed, but usually it's a short slow.
I could imagine Reload having a speed buff or a dash built in, but that's about it.

14. In case an enemy has been 1-shot, there are messages for both knockdown and death events, cluttering the screen.

As with a decent amount of simple-styled maps, I see a field of potential from over here. It's gonna depend if it'll be actualised, but I think you have a strong start with the theme and mechanics of the map.

Quite inspiring, in fact.

I was busy this passing days,, but somehow progressing,, im stuck on fixing the direct death XD im trying my best to fix it,, maybe bribes damage engine is not working properly..

Edit: But some suggestion has been add and some bugs has been fixed.

Also bullets cant easily though those tress,, it take 5-8 times to kill the tress but bullets will through if in higher height..

Newest: Got it,, the damage engine is not working properly i test the block damage or prevent to die when very low life like 1-5 life against lower damage may fail to block the death..

3.Barrel is a bit bad for weapon. There is better things, I saw a weapon chest earlier but I can't find it now.
4.I don't think your map is in BETA phase, it's good enough and you should just make it better with
I think you should delete BETA from map name.
5.When you close weapon window, you can't open it again.
6.All weapons has same cost amount, while some weapons are better than others.
7.You can add melee weapons that increase strike damage.
8.You can add pistiols with lower cost.
9.You can set reward system that give u an additional lumber when kill someone or save a teammate.

10.With adding grenade, now you can add some new strategic points: Some places with roof.

I try to play again, If I found anything I wil tell you.

Thanks man with you i can see all mistake i've left,, about upgrade reload well by increasing thed level of your reload it will reduces the cd and so the channel durations.

Allow to kill players with vhicale with pressing them.
4.How did you add this? Sometimes it works and sometimes doesn't. Test yourself to see.
Vhicale has a high hp.It costs 6-7 bazoka shots to explode. Decrease it.
5.Turrets have much hp also.
6.A bug happens when you die in animations, look at this:

New Suggestions:
1.You can change turret system: Set its maximum mana to 200 and 10 cost for fire and add a 10-20 mp/s regention to it. Make a trigger that when turret's mana reaches zero, Remove its Fire ability for 10-15 second. It becomes something like other shooting games that turrets become hot when fire very fast and you must stay until it getting normal.
2.Add military cars that costs one person to drive and one person to shot.(Something like mini-truck)
3.Give random names to players instead JC Helas.(You can use names from credits)

Also, you named me "martin45" in your credits, I'm not "martin", I', "matin". Please fix it.
Another things: In older patches long map name results some bugs. Please change it if you can.

  3. Obviously the automatic rifle is the best weapon as seen on the Vulcan. The rest are slow, low damaging and some low ranged.
  4. Whoever gets the Vulcan first is mostly GG.
  5. Arenas don't seem to change after certain number of rounds. Is there a command/vote option?

The concept is nice. The execution, not so much.

It would be a luxury to have links leading to the used resources. Credits in the Quest Log would be appreciated too.

About that bug? Actually its not bug, its just you receive massive multiple damage, at that moment you knock down and die
The animation was being pause when you die

2.Some buildings in snow area hasn't pathing block.
1.In snow area hills, there is two vulcans nearby, it's my opinion to keep one of them.
2.When you strike with knife twice, two knives apear in your hands.
So ignoring above things, there isn't any bugs. Now you can add some new things like:
1.Let AI use vulcan and car (If is it possible)
2.Add new types of grenades like: Tear gas, Flash bang grenade and molotov.
3.Add air support item, that allow you bombard a region with a delay.
4.Add armor or/and headwears.
5.
Add military cars that costs one person to drive and one person to shot.(Something like mini-truck)
6.Increase range of vulcan a bit, it's very low really; you can hit your enemy much farther with 9mm and other guns.
7.Add bombs/mines. like c4 with a gadget to explode it.
8.Add dog.
9.Add new modes, for example co-op modes like zombie survival.(I suggest you change another map for it)
10.Add something like zoom ability for sniper.
11.Find a music with modern warfare theme.
12.Random special supply drops.
13.Allow knocked players to move slow and fire if have pistol.
14.Add new weapons like: Flamethrower, Bow(with no mana cost and cast time on fire) and Samurai blade(with special ability instead fire: rush/charge)
15.Add automatic placable turrets.

I don't know these will help your map, I only said my opinion.

Those thing are awesome thanks man, now know what to do for next, about the armors? I was searching for those at model section but i nothing has exist
Also a car with another player that will fire while you are driving isnt easy XD but i already had idea for that thing..

Ohh i dont know what to do,, i only uses one object in each items, like guns it only one object, the throwings is only one and so the armors only one object XD i was preventing on making lots of object XD

Yeah i notice how the round overpass

Amm the side steps are OP?

And ooh they really do, the lackness of lumber causes them to failed from buying those

About weapon and armor it's no problem, but if I buy a molotov and a grenade, then if I wanna throw grenade, how can I know which one is it?
Amm the side steps are OP?
I didn't understand, what's the OP?
