Introduction

Super Smash Heroes is an arena fighting game where you use WC3-style abilities to knock
your foes off the map.

Dynamic movement and unique spells provide a fun g4mer experience.

Re-live your smash bros childhood in this polished and modern custom game.

  • Added a second fight zone and implemented map-selection.

0.10.2 23 November 2022:
  • Fixed a bug related to player leaving during hero select.
  • Added a 30 second timer to hero select before players are given a random hero.
  • Fixed a bug where Naga Torrent could get stuck due to acceleration being too slippery.
  • Removed hotkey tooltips since they are not needed in reforged and wrong in reforged
    grid mode.
  • Changed the hotkey for Jump from Z to F to better suit German keyboards.

  • Fixed a bug where Underlord's block ability didn't last as long as it says in the
    tooltip.
  • Fixed a bug where Invulnerable units could still be thrown and damaged.
  • Fixed a bug where Naga Blade Artist and Torrent would be unstable if cast whilst
    airborne.
  • Fixed a regression where Death's Mage missiles would sometimes not appear.
  • Increased the attack cooldown for Shadow Seer from 1.1 to 1.3 seconds.
  • Increased the cooldown for Swordmaster's Hall of Mirrors from 11 to 12 seconds.
  • You can now repick your hero at the start of the round if you haven't been in combat.

  • Fixed a bug where High Naga Invigilator Torrent and Blade Artist could get stuck when
    thrown.
  • The game now restarts after fewer than two combatants are left.
  • Increased High Naga Invigilator's Torrent range from 800 to 1200.
  • Increased the dash speed of Torrent.
  • Death's Mage's attack and barrage now fire all missiles in the target direction (was:
    facing direction).
  • Improved tooltips for Shadow Seer wards.
  • Reduced Invigilator attack cast time from 0.4 to 0.3s.
  • Fixed a bug where the game would not end if a player left before choosing a hero.
  • Combatants no longer respawn if they've left the game.
  • Naga High Invigilator's Blade Artist ability now throws in the target direction (was:
    angle of incidence).
  • Fixed a minor graphical bug that would show up at the top left of the map.

  • New hero: High Naga Invigilator.
  • Attack abilities are now targeted spells to ease aiming.
  • Fixed: Underlord block was not working.
  • Fixed: Orcish Swordmaster War Slam was not instant cast.

There are some assets that should be credited: Resources in use by Super Smash Heroes 0.9.6 Is it intended to be Open Source (map tag)? It's a fun little experience that could be improved with a bigger hero roster but most importantly varied arenas...

I got stuck on a cliff and couldn't get out. I tried just about everything to free myself but alas it would not work. Also, I only tested the Blademaster hero but I found his Backflip ability to be a bit annoying to use since it deselected the hero. I imagine you could design it to function differently.

Anyway, a fun little map nonetheless.

Hey @Uncle thanks for testing, reporting, commenting, and rating!

The issue with the cliff is an upstream issue in the wurst standard lib. I'll try and investigate!

Backflip ability to be a bit annoying to use since it deselected the hero.

The behavior here should be that you lose selection briefly during the animation and then it reselects afterwards. Was that not your experience?

Tried the map, it is a really fun idea with tons of potential. Looking forward to where you go with this concept.
Though here are some issues I saw.
-The blademaster is much easier to use than other heroes. Both times we played the blademasters did way better than any other hero.
-Some abilities aren't satisfying to use, like the Lich ability that only hits a small area 400 range infront of where he is facing.
-There should be some incentive to not hide in a corner while everyone else kills each other.

Good work, i'll give it 5 stars if you address these issues.

  • I'm sorry you didn't like the Lich abilities
  • Incentive not to hide in the corner is that players will come after you if you have more lives + also you are more at risk to get knocked off the edge when near corners
