if the player plays alone, the IA will take control of the Pyramid Head. Then you will have to kill him or escape the city before he reaches you.

How to play

This map has some original features:

Dynamic Camera:
The camera follows the players smoothly and can be adjusted. Besides, each building of the town can be visited.

Original Weapons : Your character may find various weapons which has special effects (Mace, Wrench or Guns). Some will need ammo, other fuel (chainsaw).

Radio : The Radio will allow you to discuss with other players who have one. It also creates heavy noises when an evil creature is too close.

Light : Each player has a Torch to see during the Night. However, the Torch consumes your battery and may attract other creatures. Be careful.

Stamina : As in Maniac With Saw, your character can be exhausted if he walks or run too much. He will be an easier target for the Pyramid Head.

Various Ending : Depending of the remaining survivors and their actions, the ending will change.

StoPCampinGn00b: Map is now performing up to standards. The map itself is definitely impressive and original. The visuals are top notch, though the gameplay can be a bit tedious when it gets too dark - though it's definitely not campy. There's lot's of moving parts around the map.

Most of the lag has been fixed since my last test many times ago, but for those with not-so-good devices, the experience may not be the same.

Approved, not rated.

Shadow Fury: Man, there is just too much fog during the day. The excessive fog also causes a terrible lag occasionally, The camera is so bad and annoying, why can't I just rotate/zoom it myself instead of auto-rotating so awkwardly that my view gets obstructed so often. There was even a building I could pass through like a ghost, quite strange.
The tooltips are just too dark, I had to peer very carefully to read what was written. There's also a tooltip of a skill I get in Twisted World in French despite picking the English language. Fix this please.
Well, you should really fix the camera and the fog thing, I'm currently testing this further but those issues seriously must be fixed. The intro cinematic is very laggy as well just to let you know.
So for now it's needs fix.

You are a group of criminals being transferred to a high security prison. To get there, you must go through the ghost town of Silent Hill.
Why would I go into prison voluntarily ? If I cross the ghost city, the last thing I will think about is going to the prison. That makes absolutly no sense.

I have high expectations for this game, going to play and test it soon.

Uh, the camera is a mess. It tends to choose a perspective that makes the map border doodads nearly completely block any sight.

The tooltips are hardly readable due to the colour ( the very dark one).

You calm down.
I got a good enough computer to run for the mostly every game.
YOU GOT A BUG, that i said in my previously post with the torch.
+
When i played the first Night or possesion of whatever it is, im returning to normal world and its alll Black except my character and the enemy units.

Tho even it didnt lag for me, but you should do for the mostly everything that Shadow_Fury said.
+ Its not foggy in Silent hill, its dust.

I experienced lag too, but not that much as that it had a greater impact on the gameplay. I think they are caused by the special events with the other world, as there were lags.
Are you sure you remove all leaks ?

There are some lags when the events occur. I agree with that. However, it lasts 20 seconds, no more. Otherwise, in regular gameplay, there is none. I did a few tests with other people and no one complain about lag. There are othen bugs/glitch that need to be fixed. Lag is none of it. That is why I said judging the map with a 2003's computer is not fair on that point.

The idea for the game is Who is the killer, with a very cool twist. The two worlds look very distinct from each other and you can feel the doom in the 2nd world. The decoration is top notch and you really capture the mood of scaryness. The random scary events in the real world really get you by surprise and have some insanely well done imagery! The game has amazing visuals and a really solid gameplay. I have to say, i was expecting the camera to fuck up or annoy me, but its really well done. I almost never had it stuck looking through a wall.

The negatives are, like mentioned previously, it has some slight lags, mostly when the scary stuff appears in the real world. I have a solid computer made for gaming and i still got the lag. Its really not that bad though, but noticeable. Also the flashlight doesn't always work, which can be annoying because you can spawn in the normal world with a pitch black screen, making it pretty much unplayable until you switch worlds again.

Anyways i give it a 4/5 would scare my pants off again.

The controls being horrible (mostly because of the camera that makes the player feel drunk or high) plus with not being able to see a thing during the night as a human even with the torch on, make for not such a good game.

Actually I can't even open the map anymore with the last version. If someone can fix it, I would gladly continue the map.
Wow, instaexit after the editor loads it (1.30.4 and 1.29.2). It works with the latest 1.27 patch.
However... I can't save it with it because of possible JASS issues:

Did you use any other editor than the game's original?

Disabled all custom script triggers (not those which contain the custom script actions but those entirely made of code) and I could save it on 1.27 but couldn't open it with 1.30.4 or 1.29.2.
Removed all triggers. Still nothing.
Deleted all imported files and it works! Now, we got to find out which imports are responsible for the crash.

I think I know. It is the warmap.j is it ?
I don't think so. Now, I've only deleted all doodads on the map and I could load it on 1.30.4 after saving it with 1.27. So, it's a or more custom models.
Besides I can't find such file you wrote about.

Some models don't show up in the editor's model preview. I could try to eliminate those from their respective doodads and/or destructibles.

I don't know. I'd have to delete groups of them separately to find out.
Well, you could install 1.27 and have more Warcraft III folders installed.

Alright, it's on the human side (west).

EDIT: it's somewhere in the middle of the human part.

EDIT2:

Success!
It was because of a crate model (model name xiang3.mdl; doodad names: caisse and caisse2) which had a visual glitch on it (a gray jagged area). Replaced their models with one of the Barrel variations (which have an imported skin by the way). Did not delete the model from the import manager.

Saved the map on 1.30.4 and attached it here. Entirely coded triggers have been disabled (but not deleted).

So I played this with recent 1.30 patch.

First game with 23 bots. Game starts, I gain control of the character, after a few seconds - huuuge lag spike, for about 30 seconds the game has 0 fps. Then it become playable, I wander around, the world transforms, I wander around - find some organic bridge - I walk on it as I hear sirens, and I manage to get to the end of it right before transformation happens again. After that I find myself on the other side of... not lowered bridge, my character disappears, I guess I escaped? No message on the screen or anything. And my camera gets detached, but it's good, since I can check out the whole map layout. Visual design of some places is GREAT (especially in the Otherworld), in some others - not so great, in a few rare places - feels weird and kinda out of place, I think. Many models are clunky and dissapear even though they should still be seen in the field of view, etc.

Second game with 1 bot. Game starts, I notice that the lag is during the scare sequence (but this time isn't as bad, just a few seconds while Angela ghost (or whoever it is) is leaving it's shadowtrail, and the lag is not as huge probably because of low number of players). After that I wander around, and every 5-10 seconds I get in a scare sequence. I suppose if there are more players, the target is chosen randomly between them. So I got to see around 5-6 of them, where most of the time just a lot of stuff is thrown into the screen. But some scares I found really impressive, better if they weren't randomly triggered, but triggered is some special places? Anyway so I find the boatyard... Then the world shifts to hell, I wander around, find the boat key, return back, the world shifts back. I try the key, doesn't work, can't get it to work. At first I thought that it was bugged, because the key item itself couldn't be used, but turns out that I actually needed to interact with OTHER boat. Fair enough. But would be better if it prompted me something like "This key doesn't fit", so the player would know the mechanic is in the place. Anyway, I get in, sail away, boom, the end. Can't see the nicknames on the ending scoreboard, though (maybe multiboard is streched too wide, happened with my map in recent patches when they reworked the resolutions).

Other things I experienced - music overlapping like crazy, walking through some walls and stuff without pathblockers, the view is sometimes blocked by buildings. Also the whole place feels like a huge open field, rather than some street maze. Also didn't find the flashlight, but didn't even need it, despite the game telling me to turn it on. Because it was never too dark, even though the ingame time seems to be running quite fast.

Obviously, I noticed some things from MWS: chat system (radio is a great addition), stamina, the boat, you know, etc.
Didn't have a chance to try the game in a multiplayer yet.

Thanks you for all your feedbacks. It's very helpful. I'm going to release the version 1.5 soon which will consider all these aspects.
