It's useful. I just don't see how a stone shovel would be made of composite stones, it would be rather a single piece of stone chipped into a shovel-like shape. (The texture you're using looks more like stone masonry than a stone solid object)

I can change the texture if you can think of a more fitting texture for the stone shovel.
I was initially just going to make the iron/steel shovel.
The stone one was an extra with a quick change of texture and a somewhat rushed wrap.
I tried a few textures but couldn't find one that was compatible with the bend it had.

The NE have a lot of stone textured stuff. The Mountain Giant, Moon Well, their altar... There's the fountain of health/mana texture too.
You could even make the stone shovel's mesh a bit rougher, since a chipped stone tool probably won't have such an accurate shape.
