Author's Notes

This is the first episode of the continued series 'Shipwrecked'. It has been in on and off development for about two years. I had worked on a side series related to the main series as well. Time has been a huge issue in terms of progress, but I finally managed to finish it all and add in some final touches. The only thing that is missing is voice acting. I wanted voice acting in it, but I didn't want to go through all the thread making and waiting to get some good recordings together. In the future, I plan to perhaps release a special edition of it, which will include voice acting and additional scenes that I wanted to do but left out.

Surprisingly, this turned out to be pretty short. It feels much longer when I watch it...and feels fast paced at the same time.... Anyways, I hope you enjoy it. I personally don't as I tend to hate everything I produce.

The Series

This is a continuation of player_72985's series on Warcraft 3 Campaigns. I wanted to try something new, but at the same time give tribute to not only that series, but all cinematics of the old days.

I personally recommend you watch the original series first as it can be found at the Warcraft 3 Campaigns site here . It's more optional than mandatory as this episode doesn't really recall anything from the original that is confusing. You can read the summary right below if you'd like.

A captain's ship is destroyed in a fierce storm. His crew is savagely killed by sea creatures and he becomes shipwrecked. Jacob and his surviving companion Luther must find a way off the island.

The next day they are approached by Azrael, a cursed pirate in Naga form. He informs the two that evil sea giants will attack them at night and that he will come with help to fight them off. During the night, the creatures attack the camp and Azrael returns with the help of Pearl and other friendly creatures. A battle ensues and they are victorious. Jacob, Luther leave the island in a rowboat as Azrael and Pearl escort them. They are then attacked by a giant sea elemental that kills Azrael and Pearl while the other two escape.

5 days later, the two come across another island, much more dark and mysterious than the one before. They go ashore where they meet a shaman who tells them to see a local witch doctor for help. The witch doctor agrees to help them get to Kalimdor, but first asks the two to retrieve a stolen gem that if placed on top of a volcano, will open a portal letting demons out and taking over the world. They arrive at the volcano and defeat an evil man who stole the gem. The gem is restored and Jacob and Luther are given a ship and are shown the way to Kalimdor.

As they sail, they are captured by an evil mermaid and her minions. They are taken to a prison and are held until Orcs led by Thrall raid the prison, letting all the captives out. The evil mermaid flees and the captain and Luther meet up with two survivors of the shipwreck, first mate Jones and the engineer Hanson. The crew then leave together in a ship.

The crew reaches Cabernet Falls, Jacob and Luther's old home. The whole town has been destroyed. Jacob explains that is has been attacked when the crew left which explains their voyage in the beginning. They end up finding Azrael and Pearl at the scene, who fooled the sea creature into thinking it defeating them and followed it to the town. Pearl reveals that her evil sister Cordina created the creature and that she despises all land creatures, especially humans. Jacob's crew then leaves to their next destination.

As they sail, Azrael informs Jacob that a spy following Cordina has been killed near Bian'tor. They decide to set sail there. As they arrive at the city, it is under siege. They help the mayor Gaina Klouse fight off the creatures. They then gather Bian'tor's army and prepare for war. Meanwhile under water, Cordina has gathered her massive army in order to take over all land belonging to humans.

A great battle takes place as both armies clash and fight for countless hours. Jacob then faces Cordina alone and defeats her. Her army is then heavily weakened and retreats back into the ocean. Azrael promises Jacob that he and Pearl will do all they can do prevent another conflict from happening again.

the next morning, everyone gathers in the cathedral and Jacob finds his wife and 2 children inside. He, his family and friends all decide to start new lives in Bian'tor.

Alrighty,i watched it and well heres my review

Green means good red means bad and white means 50/50:

I was stunned in the first scene,in the ocean(sea)that part is soo goodly made
The camera is done well, doesnt go trought objects.
The story is interesting, altrough i would replace the name Jacob with something more...unique,just to feel the touch but doesnt matter much.
The voice in the start, was kinda freezing i dont know is it my pc or the cinematic(probobly my pc,thats why i wont add this in the rating)
The dialogues was kinda long, not too much but on some places yeah
The city is done well, not much to say here i like that you added "Wonder" abbility to the humans
The terrain is well by my judging medium level,i suggest you see to it abit
The music you chosen to add is nice,i liked it
When the ship scene was on the water was going towards the ship, which really looked like they are moving and thats another great thing in the cinematic
The cinematic is totaly worth the time for the download time,it is interesting and i recommend it to others.Other than that i vote for 4/5 and you sir deserve a c00kie gj

Pretty good cinematic, It Deserves a 5/5', but the terrain and filesize make me not to give it. I actually liked the ship part, It was Atmospheric and Epic. The Background also seemed to be Moving. Great cinematic overall: 4/5
This is really close to a 5/5, but the terrain, Speeches and filesize makes me not to give it.

I remember this series. So many good memories.
Nice to see you're still around. :)

Yea it is pretty huge. I'm coming back to Warcraft 3 so I'll be working on it more now. I miss modding, but it seems that I have forgotten how to do a lot of things. Nonetheless part 2 just needs finishing touches. Thanks for watching! :)

Roughly 3/5.
The introduction of the giant squid was too sudden and nothing about something like was mentioned before they went to the sea.
It was quite nice until... What is it with this cliche' story about awakening evil, heroes or whatnot? It's just boring and naive. Anyways, I thought this would actually be about humans and nothing fantastical.
Amazing underwater view, though.
