Description

Finally - The great _and_ addictive card game Set has finally been ported to WarCraft 3!
*FEATURES*
-Play alone or against other players online!
-Give suggestions!
-Save and Load your score!
Note: Scores from these versions will no longer be valid when the game works completely bug-free and has all features implemented!
-Unique Soundtrack!
Note: If you wonder why the map is so big, 1.76 out of 1.86 MB are sound, and the rest is graphics + a view lines of code. If you want a smaller map, contact me and I'll release a soundless version.
-Hand Painted Cards (Took the longest to do...)!
-NO HURT ANIMALS!
-Tutorial Mode that shows you what buttons do what and guides you a little bit through the game.

Note: Currently in beta mode. Might not work bugfree in multiplayer. Singleplayer seems bugfree.

No idea how to play this game. So complicated. Can't even seem to match. The (F9) doesn't seem to help much. I reckon this needs more description and beginner help since not everyone plays the game Set. First i thought it was something like matching 2 exact same cards but i was wrong. I would think many of us would have the same idea since matching of pairs has been very popular with card games.

I'll try to make the descriptions better.
Any idea on how to improve them?

EDIT 0.86 -> 0.90: Updated for better description, but it still is weak. Please help!
- FIX: Slightly better description

EDIT 0.90 -> 0.92:
- FIX: multiplayer desync problem

EDIT 0.92 -> 0.98:
- ADD: Added a practicing board that has no card patterns, gives no points, and has "infinite" cards. This board will also highlight a set that's on it if a player enters "-show" in the chat.
- ADD: Added a couple of ingame messages.
- MOD: Main Board gets activated after 15 seconds so that players can enter their codes / swap to that board in time.
- FIX: The main board now gets refilled after 15 seconds when there are no cards anymore.
- FIX: Players no longer need to wait for other players to enter their passwords before they can enter their own / get their codes.

EDIT 0.98 -> 0.99:
- MOD: Points are now 1 + for each player playing, instead of simply two.

EDIT 0.99 -> 0.99B:
- BUG: Game keeps thinking there were 6 players. Dunno why yet.
- FIX: When playing the game through n time, it will now no longer have a card n+1 times.
- MOD: More space for chat.


EDIT 0.99B -> 0.99C:
- ADD: Added an "explain" ability that will highlight a set in the practice board and tell you why it is a set.
- ADD: Added a real tutorial mode that will slowly introduce the buttons, the game setup etc.
- ADD: The game now actually tells you what board you're on
- FIX: Game now knows how many ppl there actually are, but that brought up another bug - the game now ignores computer players. In this map, it's irrelevant though.
- FIX: Fixed a couple of lesser bugs
- MOD: No chat messages needed anymore except for saving and loading : )

EDIT 0.99B -> 0.99C:
- FIX: explain now works by chat message; Explain skill now mentioned in tutorial; Hotkeys now mentioned in tutorial.
- FIX: Explain and Show skills are now correctly enabled/disabled.
- BUG: When two boards are dealt cards simultaneously, one of the boards will not receive cards. Reason unknown.
- BUG: When selecting cards too fast, there are visibility bugs (selected cards aren't shown, unselected cards marked as selected). Reason unknown.

Probably make a tutorial thingy, or just simple point form sentences when everyone loads finish, which everyone can read before it starts. Make (f9) which people can refer and stuff. I can't help you much as i dun play Set and have given hope on understanding the game.... its FREAKING DIFFICULT X_X

Short messages and F9 are implemented since quite a time... It's not very helpful tho, since one needs to play the game in order to understand it.

I have thus integrated the Practice board which everyone starts on, and which uses "-show" to highlight a set. Playing arround with that "-show" has taught 3 / 4 players (the fourth was drunk and I'm not sure as to wether he actually understood the game or not) the game, so I guess that should be enough - given people read the short messages.

It might be, though, that the short messages at the beginning tell to few to actually be helpful, so I'll try to improve them (and mention them in the loading screen)

I will also implement a real tutorial that will actually show a little more info : )
