A model made by request. Inspired by Dota2's shrine, but not made to be an exact replica:

This is really a remarkable model. Even though I don't know what I'd use it for, it's very creative & I love it. Great use of the Undead Sky Barge, and useful animations. I have to know where you got that chalice model-bit.

This is a very well made model, but it does have some minor and major flaws. Please fix the following issues:

  • The extents of the models are not correspondent to the geoset extents. This can be adjusted by hand or with Magos.
  • Some issues with particle emitters.
  • Some unused textures than can be removed.
You can use Sanity Test to check the model for flaws.

    The model's extent is correct. It's shapes and size is nearly the same as the shrine. This was manually made, as the automated extent calculator in Magos also takes the huge Portrait Glow into account, resulting in a ridiculously high health bar when selected in-game.

  • I see. Care to elaborate on that? That's kinda vague. Regardless, I increased some of the height and fixed all the warnings found in the Sanity Test.

I usually scale the giant glow planes down in Magos' geometry editor, calculate extents and then re-scale them back up. The extents and collision shapes are not the same thing btw, I honestly don't know what the collision shapes are used for, but they don't affect selection in-game.
You can also remove any geometry that is superfluous, calculate extents, save as a separate model, and then copy and paste the 'good' extents to your actual working model through Notepad.
