RoyalFootman

This is my first attempt on making model with ingame stuff. I was going to make it use only ingame textures bud decided to use some custom ones. Shoulderpad model and texture are form lich king model by Kwaliti. Feel free to tell me if i did something wrong and stuff

--Update--
-Remade whole model from start because it's animations were not playing properly ingame.
-Model now uses only ingame textures.
-Slightly edited sword and shield mesh.
-Replaced the boots with medivh's boots and modified them a little

You could use in-game textures for the shield and shoulderpad.

It seems like a waste of space to use custom ones just for a shoulderpad and a shield.

Well all the stuff on him that i used custom textures i could to do with ingame textures and it would look almost the same except for shoulder pad... here is the pic of model with all ingame textures

EDIT: I recommend you to change the Image on the very top so that people won't have to check the Viewer just to see the changes. :D

better version than before , but u should change the texture of the kit cloth . now it looks blury .

I changed the image when i updated it. Try hitting refresh, f5 or something

You could use custom texture at shield with team-color applied inside, so its more in line with the regular Footman.

Nah, i decided to remake the model so it doesn't use any custom textures so i'm not gonna make shield teamcoloured... sorry

@HateCrew Its nice that you made some changes. Ive edited your sample image using photoshop and Ive made my own changes too. take a look at the comparison.

This is pretty cool. It could stand to be improved in some ways, though.

The top edge of the shield has ugly black lines; adjust your wrap so that it is all gold and without the edge of the texture.

The pauldron's mesh shape looks as that of Kwaliti's Lich King, however reading above I see that you were granted permission for its use. That being said, the bar raising upwards in the middle of the pauldron is smudgy, you should try to find a clearer part of the texture to wrap to it.

The chainmail on the arms is terribly blurry, you should use the human campaign footman's texture for it instead.

It could just be the viewer, but it appears that there is a thin gap between the blade and guard of the sword which you can see through, fix the mesh so that it connects if that is the case.

The teamcolored plume on the helmet is always a neat thing to see. Did you make that yourself, or did someone else allow you to use it?

Good job on your first model, 4/5.

Tnx :) I will fix stuff you mentioned tomorrow and try to replace chainmail texture. Yeah there is a gap in the blade base, i forgot to to fix it... About the plume, i just took it from original campaign helmet and sepperated it into different geoset, changed texture to captains and re wrapped it so that it has teamcolor... so i didn't take it from someone else's model.

EDIT: This is the fourth time today i wanted to ask this but forgot, does someone know how to fix that awful shading on the golden rim of the helmet?

I made some minor changes from the footie model you gave me using photoshop and Id like to ask if you could change the sword and the color of the boots like the one I did in the attached image.

ok, heres my view of it:

cons: the footman has been redone a lot of times, like, a lot. so its not that unique.

the belt buckle clips alot

the skirt clips alot.

dunno if its just the hive viewer or not, but the sword seems to completely vanish during stand 4, perhaps separating the blade and the handle geosets so only the blade vanishes in that animation.

pros: hes very pretty, his shield looks real good.

the shoulder plate is super high def.

the classic footman is in dire need of a renovation and this is a good job.

I like it, I may use it in my mur'loc map indeed..... 8.5/10

Suggestions: I think the belt buckle lion head needs to stick out more or have its own bone so it can be animated to not clip so much.

I think the skirt has some bone issues, they should be attached to custom bones instead of stuffed onto the legs like that.

A nice piece indeed.
