LORE: "It has been one hundred years since the Vampire Lord was banished, but since then the humble people of Talabhiem Kingdom have endured an unholy curse afflicting their lands, for the Vampire was not truly defeated...

His spirit remains, slowly drawing strength and corrupting the land. The peasant folk tell of strange creatures lurking within the shadows of the forests and dark voices whisper through the wind. While crops fail and disease spreads, it is the King of Talabhiem whom has suffered the greatest tragedy, all the heirs to his kingship have mysteriously disappeared and with every passing day, the king grows more weary and older. He has lost all hope of continuing his legacy but his greatest fear is about to come into being:

THE PROPHECY: Before the Vampire Lord was slain, he vowed to one day return and destroy the family line of King Alec. With the kings children missing, all the Vampire lord needs to do is kill is the king himself to fulfil the Prophecy. If he succeeds in wiping out the dynasty within 3 days he will regain his full strength and claim lordship over Talabhiem. If he fails to kill the king then his body will crumble and his spirit banished to the underworld for eternity.

But in the Darkest hour there is still hope, for 6 champions have stepped forward, offering their help to the beleaguered King of Talabhiem.




BASIC GAMEPLAY INFO:

This is a unique PvP map with support from AI factions where players can either chose to play as the Vampire Hunters or the Vampire Lord himself.

It combines influences from maps like Vampirism, Tomb of Jabocoriah and Dragon Hunters. There is also a strategy element as players have the option of creating squads or armies by hiring our local mercenaries from the city of Talabhiem.

The basic aim of Vampire lord is to kill the King of Talabhiem within 3 days or he will die. The aim of the Vampire hunters is to protect the King for 3 days or slay the Vampire lord himself.

If a Vampire hunter dies to a creep then he can be resurrected by an ally, however, if a hunter is killed by a Vampire he will return as an undead Vampire and serve darkness. Another way for the Vampire Lord to win is to kill all 6 defenders, but he only has 3 days so he must work quickly.

The Vampire hunters will have to work as a team, defending the King and the local villagers from evil. There are 3 villages around the map and of course the city of Talabhiem itself which houses the King. The cities defences are formidable, but if the Vampire Lord grows strong enough he will have the power to bring it down and slay the King.

The hunters have a number of weapons at their disposal, the greatest asset being the people of Talabhiem themselves, many can be hired as merc to fight along side your hero. In this sense the game also has a RTS element to it.

The Vampire Lord has the power to create vast armies of undead, but not in the normal sense, all his minions must be infected and raised as Vampires or zombies summoned from the corpses of the fallen. He can then mutate and evolve his minions into more powerful creatures and servants of Darkness with a range of different bonuses and abilities.

CREATORS NOTE: This is a very old project of mine I finally decided to finish, I've been working on it while other LTA developers had the LTA map so it won't have interfered with development of that map! RotV is almost finished now so I'm hoping to do a private beta test in afew weeks. Some of you may notice this is a continuation and sequel to my "Zombie Rising" map.

GAMEPLAY TIPS AND ADVICE:
Vampire Hunters:

- Stick together and always work as a team, the Vampire will be able to overpower you alone but he can not match the strength of you all combined.
- Use your powers to unlock special mysteries around areas of power around the map.

- Buy mercenries from the local village bastions, upgrade and expand your unit squad via black smiths.

- Entering the Vampires lair and destroying his base there will seveerly weaken him, but be wary for the underworld holds hidden powers and evil...
- Remember the undead are stronger at night but weaker by day.

Vampire Lord:
- Your aim besides killing the King should also be to kill the Vampire hunters, any which fall to your bite will be reborn as Vampire allies and serve you!

- Use the special global powers found in your underworld altar of power. Try and keep this protected.

- If the Vampire hunters enter your castle remember to use your traps to your advantage.

- Build your vampire and zombie army by corrupting and killing the local villagers and soldiers of Talbhiem. They will serve you either as a vampire or as a mindless Zombie. These can then be evolved into minions of great power.

- The main city of Talabhiem is very strong, attack and destroy the outer villages first before going for the king directly.

- Remember you only have 3 days, keep an eye on the timer, you can not afford to wait around.

The terrain of the map always captures people's first glances because of how extremely detailed it is for Warcraft 3. Its cross strategy and hero survival gameplay makes for a fresh experience. Though it can seem more complicated than most maps at first, it's actually not that hard to get into. Once you're into it, there's just a lot of content to engage, notably some awesome events and spells. It's also not only competitive gameplay and visuals, as there's quite a bit of lore built up in this for a multiplayer map.

The map works really well performance wise, though there may need to be balance tweaks and bug fixes like any map out there. I wish I had the time to dig extensively in the map and give a lot of feedback, but this is what I have for now. Map approved, 5/5!

I dont even know what to say...its just incredible.

Atmosphere and terrain are outstanding. As i see you used in this map catapults. If you want you can use also my siege machines. I uploaded lots of them recently)

I always keep a close eye on your models Mike are they are great and very fitting with this map!

I ran out of space for stuff I could add but if I had more space I would actually add your Market stand and Fountain models are they are beutiful and would fit so well with the style of this :)

Awesome map, 5/5. There were many things I wanted to share as followings...

Bugs said:
1. Mira's death - there was no spirit when she died. Mira always began being on neutral hostile side which made her die faster.
2. Demon cheese - by using lore stone, 3 demons from underworld came
out and destroyed many gates and bastions at the beginning of the game. Luckily, they were weak.
3. missing food: One game that I played, my 50 food for vampire princess
had gone when she died.
4. Searing head guard of the bear, legendary item, was unable to cast breath of fire.
5. Units summoned by lore stone at south east of the map were affected and died by sunlight.
6. When wild-man bought standing for 500 gold coins, there was no refund. I suggested that buying stand for 500 gold coins should have been removed or increased its cost since currently it was cheap enough to be abused.

Imbalance issues said:
1. Healer vampire hunter's role was less significant than other vampire
hunters. Even though, it was difficult to kill her, she could not do much in
battle. (Other vampire hunters and captain could solo and creep around the map from start while it was more difficult for priestess)
2. leavers: At the start of the game, some players left and 2 human players
left suddenly got level 6 which was ridiculous since if vampire lord left,
vampire princess only leveled up from 1 to 6. Vampire princess strength
was about other vampire hunters or lesser (especially, against city guard)
3. city guard imbalance: Archer captain was significantly stronger than
warrior captain, especially, the true shot aura which was game breaking.
4. Harassing shop keepers by vampire princess at the start of the game.
This was game breaking, obviously.
5. Werewolf base was really weak. I could not see how he could defend his
base against vampires or human, especially, vampires.
6. Vampire lord and vampire princess should have been buffed. There was no way
to slow down vampire hunters (cripple was totally useless) and tried to convert them. All of vampire hunters had skills to defend themselves and vampire hunters had high movement speed which could be used to outrun vampires easily.
7. Each vampire hunter was really powerful with the right run (which you can figure it out after playing not many games), it was impossible for vampire to win the game.
8. vampire lord 3rd skill was noticeably useless.
9. There was no limited number of catapults for city guard. Spamming catapult was game breaking.
10. Underworld buildings health points were too low. They should have had at least 10k health points to prevent some abuse such as Fire Jinn abuse from vampire team.

Abuses - did them many times and you could easily win said:
All abuses were not meant to be fixed but they gave so much profit for ones who did.
1. range abuse - with archer captain. By stacking many units and towers near king, it was impossible to kill the king. Even if vampires tried to use catapults, it would not work because vampire hunters could simply sabotaged them. In the opposite, vampire lord should have been the one that had aura replacing his useless 3rd bat skill.
2. 20% aura shield was too powerful. This was game breaking item and could be considered stronger than every legendary items.
3. boots (item) - it should have been removed from the game. Adjusting movement speed to be able to do more actions was game breaking since distance between each location was fixed.
4. armor scale - the current scale favored vampire hunters, especially, their starting armor point. Its effectiveness should have been reduced by 0.5-1 times statistically since the damage scale was 0 to 500 and damage reduction was about 0-75%.
Mage and archer should have not started with 6 or 7 armor. They should have started with 0 or negative armor points instead because they both were extremely dangerous. Mage could easily destroy undead hordes and archer could easily shutdown vampire lord (and vampire lord had no way to catch archer).
5. standing abuse - Once vampire hunters got enough standing. They were rich while vampire gold mine could be easily destroyed.
6. human reward imbalance - vampire lord could only give 3 levels and 1500 gold to his team in 1 game which was almost nothing. The cool-down on Grant rank and standing skill should have been higher. I could get to level 4 in a first few minutes of the game, thanks to this.
7. Reinforcement abuse - This was very very cheap and critically game breaking for city guard. You could easily get about 10 well armed units at the start of the game with only 100 gold.
8. 300 gold staff of healing - The real cost of it should have been 1000 gold coins or more. Furthermore, You could easily get 300 gold in this game.
9. dog food for level - There should have had a cool-down time between each use.

What are their points issues said:
1. Hibernation of Druidic stone - I could not see any reason to do this. I
could destroyed the stone easily playing as city guard and vampire lord but
I could not see how I could defend against such an attack. Werewolf should be buffed.
2. corrupted soul: What can I do with corrupt soul? I could not revive them.
They got burned in sunlight and died very quickly. I tried to possess stag but it had only 15 hp and died quickly in sunlight. Other creeps might be
interesting but at the time vampire hero became corrupted soul, it was
usually late game when there was literally no creep left.
3. zombie controller was useless. Players can drag their mouse choosing units and quickly click tab and upgrade them.
4. There was a message said vampire got stronger each night but I could not see anything stronger.
5. Attacking villages - All vampire hunters and city guard did not care if vampire lord attacked villages and outer capital, 2 bastions and 2 gates. They only defended the last bastion near king and built many towers around him. Surprisingly, with limited number of elite vampire minions, that was enough to hold vampire army for the rest of the game.
6. 3 demons in underworld were useless. They had rain of fire but it was out-scaled by the map. They also had cripple but cripple only worked for 1-2 seconds.
Questions said:
1. How can I destroy the bridges?

Suggestions said:
1. spell resistance upgrade for vampire and vampire hunter because units died pretty quick.
2. defend, a skill that deflect piercing attack, upgrade for vampire and vampire hunter because units died pretty quick..
3. make bosses that drop legendary item more powerful (10k+ hp) because vampire hunters could easily beat them 1 on 1 and legendary items were really powerful.
4. limited legendary items to 1 per hero so other normal items could be used. Having many legendary items for vampire hunters made them become hero that were as strong as vampire lord, or add new items for vampire.
5. Increase vampire hero movement speed. There was no way to catch vampire hunters that only run around and if vampire could not catch them when vampire hunters reached about level 8, noticeably, they were extremely difficulty to kill.
6. Add bonus, let vampire get real stronger each night and each village they destroy such as damage aura, endurance aura, spell resistance, range damage resistance, etc.
7. 100 gold reinforcement was broken. It should have given something more reasonable such as 3 foot soldiers, 1 mounted warrior and 2 archers while in 3.6, it gave the number of melee mounted soldiers more than the number of melee mounted soldiers.
8. Vampire bite orb type is black arrow. By adding more description for Ice orb that it will not stack with vampire bite would be great additional information to the game. Another solution is giving vampire bite an slow ability.
9. Disable an attack on vampire lord instead of dying. There was no penalty for attacking the king and it should have been the same for attacking vampire lord.
10. The current archer captain was , seriously, stronger than vampire princess on the same level. I was not sure if it was intended. Archer captain was also stronger than every vampire hunters.
11. I read all comments in brigandshaven. There was 1 post about the attack should have been happened by creating army outside town before attacking every cities, however, in reality, it was impossible, I used my area of effect skills to clear undead army which made them unable to have enough troops to siege the city. I could safely run in and out and sabotage undead units easily without using wind-walk and there was nothing vampire hero could do against my hero. This implied that all vampire hunters were strong enough to tank and kite undead so the solution might be decreased the effectiveness of armor.
12. Since Staff of ice could be dropped by creeps, if ranger hero got this item, she could easily subdue the vampire lord. To counter this, An damage aura and movement speed aura for each town that was destroyed would negate it. Vampire should have been buffed in late game when vampire hunters and city guard also had a lot of money to back them up.
13. First thing, I thought it should have been fixed as soon as possible was the corrupted spirit. I did not want to host the game which if players' hero got killed, there was no chance to play again.
14. The current experience points from summoned vampire units should have been reduced to 90, 80 or 70%. I knew that it was supposed to encourage vampire hunters to defend the town but as you knew vampire hunters and city guard only care about the last bastion near the king.
15. There were empty slots for players. Wild-men should have been added here with computer(Normal) who controls the spirit hero. Druidic stone's health points should have been increased to, at least, 15k health points.
16. Converted vampires were weaker than when they were vampire hunters. For example, seeker, she could blink, stun ,do area of effect damage and avatar but when she was converted, she could only do damage over time which was not strong enough to turn the tide of battles. The vampire hunters abilities should have been kept when they were converted. They also should have got a staff to create corpse as well.

i think this map is great

but

unique creep monster kill reward very poor
(i think epic item drop nice game style)

and werewolf is very weak i think adjust this champ

Terrain : 10/10.
Suggestion : Add AI leavers, easier creeps for starting out heroes, resurrect dead creep, add guide for list of events. Game will be awesome, i know it will.

guys i dunno why but i got an error... whenever i select the map it says "map size is too big", this happen only if the match is in multiplayer mode, what should i do?

The terrain and detail is just incredible in this map, definitely the greatest I have seen out of the 100's of maps I have looked both from Hive Workshop and epicwar.com. The models look awesome as well. Considering everything that goes on and what the map looks like it runs smoothly where as far lesser maps have caused my game to lag or crash. Really like the effort you have put in this map hope to see more maps like this.I am not an admin or reviewer of maps on Hive but I would honestly rate it highly.

You should make a survival mode out of this.These 2 maps were EXTREMELY FUN,Awesome it reminds me of playing Diablo haha.

Hey there! This is possibly my favorite custom map in warcraft 3, and I had a really cool idea I wanted to tell you and I hope you implement something based on it.

So. What if each hero had a unique building in each town? It would produce a unique unit, and would only be in one of the outlying towns--it could give the unit, as well as perhaps extra farm, give a base income, it could be a place to revive your hero (possibly not though), and would provide incentive to protect the towns, and more incentive to go after them. You could also give each hero control of one of the towns, or you could keep the control in the hands of the town guard.

edit: also, any plans to add more players?

The maps looks really cool, but I'm not a fan of agains time rush army, would be amazing for an RPG, where you can play a vampire, or zombie, or necro, or that flesh lord looked cool as well.

The map is very pretty, and I like your custom units, is there an unprotected version so I can play around with it?

Cuse I'm not much intu big armies thing, and this would be a great RPG kinda map, like Vampire hero only and stuff.

Also really like the Lesser Flesh Lord, is there a Higher Fleshe Lord? (opposed to lesser)
