Basic information:

Gameplay
This game ia a Zombie survival.
Actually it contains all the typical stuff like ammunition and building barricades, but there are also some things which make the gameplay unique:

A special cam, that is quite challenging. It takes some games to improve your skills in this game. Furthermore, the sight of your character is very important in this game.
There is a huge difference between day and night and therefore i implemented some items that will support you to face this problem: The Camp-fire and the Flares.
At last, there is the limited amount of ammunition. You will not be bale to camp on a position and stay there while shooting zombs. After a really quick time you won´t have anything left to shoot those sacks^^. Then its scouting time :)
However, the game requires good team-play and high concentration.

You will also have an experience number in this game, which allows you to rank up at specific amounts. Thos rank-ups improve your three main skills each character has and at some ranks you will get more item slots. You will only have two of them in the beginning. More item slots are very essential for winning :)

To sum up, if you like to shoot zombies and if you are a fan of challenging games, then this game will be perfect for you :)

Well I tested this map a few times and here is what i found...

  • Start - When i first started walking around I thought the camera was really cool... You have alot of good items and your XP system is excellent.

  • Gameplay - The zombie spread is very realistic. You did a great job making this an authentic zombie game. Health bars are extremely helpful. Though, with two inventory slots its really hard to do much. I would suggest adding atleast one more, or add something like a pack.

  • Things to Fix - After the 2nd time of playing I realized that the camera actually was taking away from the gaming expirience. I was running away from zombies and it was nearly impossible to aim right to go where i wanted and i had to stop to pick up items, I strongly suggest you change the camera. Not many people will be able to make up for the camera movements.


Thats what I've found so far. I hope this helps you somehow, even though i didn't say much about improvements. :p

thx pple, everything will be fixed as soon as possible :)
cam, hmm :) the only thing i can do is to disable auto aiming, otherwise it would take away the challenge of the cam :)

edit: No need for an item-stacking sys because there is a sense behind the amount of stacks each item has from the beginning on.
the lack of inventory is part of the challenge in this game.
get a higher rank and u will have mroe slots :)

edit2: i have updated the map now and most of the things seem pretty ok now.
one thing that still sux: the "no-inventory" interface of the starcraft II interface has also no disBTN^^ green inv slots :)
any ideas?

2nd - Usage of "Do Nothing"
3th - Some sound leaks like "BoneyardWhat1" and "TempleOfTheDamnedWhat" use variable to clean it! Other sounds should be ok, because you use them often, I find this and stop searching! Also instead of "Time - Elapsed game time is 0.00 seconds" use "Map initialization"

i really dunno how to improve the terrain^^
i am not that great specialist in terraining, but i should be enough when i tell you that i gave my best in creating this terrain :) (nobodys perfect)
the two sounds you mentioned are never played in the game, only on those two specific times, aftzer 180 secs and after 360.

okok i can add some items and abilities :)

fog is part of game difficulty :) its totally natural that human dont like things which threaten them :)

I haven't played this, but judging from the screenshots it looks like at least some effort has been put into it.

I have one comment though; the title seems pretty.. well, it seems as if you have misunderstood something about the term "nuclear winter".
Judging by your title, it seems as if you interpret the season to be a separate attribute to the "nuclear" part, while a "nuclear winter" is in fact the climate effect of dropping a nuclear bomb caused by the smoke hurled into the atmosphere. Therefore, "nuclear winter" is refering to the weather circumstances after a nuclear war, while "nuclear spring" means.. well, nothing. It makes no sense.

There were screenshots? I couldn't find them. Put some in your description.

The camera system thing was pretty cool in the beginning, but it got pretty annoying late game. I like the stacking items part, but the ammunition with full mana is a really big problem. Fix that. The zombies are pretty cool too. Your terrain is quite alright, but some parts of the map is ugghh...

I think your map is good. I like it. Keep it up and continue to update it. :D

thing with cam is of course annoying, or lets say, it is hard. and thats what its intended to be. u can play w/o cam, but u wont get xp then.
it will get easier with a higher rank, becaus eu have more item slots then.

the ammo gets low all the time, thats the second difficulty i implemented in the game, which is also intended.

hard game :) but funny for those who like it.

Can you do it:
- Fix The 3nd ability (launch rocket) is hide (with add of medals the ability is hide)
- make the mission 3 (or start it for the moment :) )
Idea :
Make kill mission (need 1000-2000 kill for win the mission)
Scientist need corpse for find a cure of zombie
Unlock a medals at end who give a anti-virus (5 charges) who can turn a zombie into a human who is immune to poison
- make more weapon
rocket launcher 10ammo/shot (if have already ability this will be 7ammo/shot 50% more fast),
double barrel shotgun 2ammo/shot (200Aoe or 2cibble + 350dmg)
- citizen can follow us and take wepon (for shoot with ammo)
- zombie at mission 2 are too many who cause delay and they be stuck at spam point
- 2 end at mission 2
1st end
If they are less of 50 or 100 zombies
Armed cilivan come and help you to kill the remaining cilivian and you must survive for 5 more minutes
after you get remaining cilivian alive at the next mission.
You can have more armed cilivian if you have saved cilivian at mission 2
2nd end
If it's more of 50 or 100 zombie
You go at next mission but they are more zombie and less item
You can have more armed cilivian if you have saved cilivian at mission 2

I gotta say, I played this map first time a few years ago, and came back to it because its fun as eff.
I like the whole hard survival, but gets easier as you progress. I really wished though that this map was a bit longer as when you finish the first part of the game, the second one is slightly easier. After that its over. I see a huge potential to either expand the first part of the map to be longer as there is more space in the world, or add a third phase which has more of a town setting.

Overall a really good map and I hope you keep making more of these types of survival game.

Also I wish the password system was slightly shorter if possible xD

PS: Created an account just so I could comment and rep this amazing map

P.P.S: Can you make it so hardcore mode allows you to get exp in single player mode because I don't have friends who play this game, or heck I can't find anyone hosting this map. Back then I had like a lot of progress on papers xD but now its kinda hard not being able to progress

I am sorry to say, that I do not develop wc3 maps anymore.
But you can open the map yourself, and enable xp in single player mode :)
