Realm Of Nosgoth v11 Blood Omen Edition

A teaser I made with VideoPad Video Editor of the Soul Reaver Era. (I will hopefully have time to make some quests for those Soul Reaver games in future updates, but it will only sum up the story as those games are way to vast and large for a single map.)



UPDATE 11

1- In singleplayer: I made a trigger so Azimuth won't leave the cathedral in the Avernus quest.

2- In multiplayer: Fixed the issue that the Magic Towers did not change ownership in the King of the Castle main quest.

3- In general : I changed the classification text GIANT found on villagers and critters for COMMONER since this is simply a classification I added so the doors triggers won't always activate from a commoner passing by.

UPDATE 10.1 : MAJOR BUG FIX in singleplayer

1- In singleplayer I fixed the issue of invisible barriers not being removed after defeating the bossess in Dark eden and Avernus Cathedral. Thanks to member fantocan for letting me know about that major issue to complete further quests.

2- Made it so that only heroes trigger cameras so they won't always be activated by the Pack horse or any other player owned units.

3- Made a Escape option to skip the first long Sarafan cinematic (Especially if you are replaying the quest). it is a lot of work to reprogram some trigger events, so I will only do this for this cinematic.

4- Made some camera triggers more long to turn back on to prevent multiple activation.



IMPORTANT NOTE: The single player has all the Blood Omen game quests. The first few quest are imagined during the Sarafan inquisition of vampires. Then the quest follow the Blood Omen game and even have copied and paste texts from the original game script.

Nosgothic Realm - Blood Omen - Script

The map should work with the 1.20 TFT patch and later.


This REALM OF NOSGOTH WC3 map is the most recent version up to date of this map. By the way Nosgoth universe is very similar to medieval so it blends well with WC3 so I left some items from WC3 because anyways you cannot by stuff in the LOK games. But I also did the items from the LOK games.

The MULTIPLAYER can be played alone because there are bots. I also included a save system to save your level and equipment if you play online.

This map is a working version and adaptation inspired from the Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver game saga. There are many custom models and the map is vast and detailed. Fans from the game should enjoy and get the feel from the LOK Soul Reaver univers. The game plays in multiplayer with elements of AOS and RPG. The single player campaign mode is still in development, but you can play a few quest.

I will hopefully have time to make some quests for those Soul Reaver games in future updates, but it will only sum up the story as those games are way to vast and large for a single map. I will make a trigger so you can choose to play the story without replaying Blood Omen.

The barrier problem happened inside the Cathedral where the Soulreaver Sword is, I understand you wanted to trap player inside so he does not escape the fight but after I killed the boss the barrier still stands, same in Dark Eden after killing Malek...

I'm using version 1.29, and the map does not initialize in single player mode. I click the button, and nothing happens. What should I do?

I just downloaded and played it for a while. Its like an AoS with rpg in the middle. I love it but how does the AI work? they pick one hero and go though the map or roam?

Hey friends thanks for th epositive comments. INDEED WITH THE 1.29 PATCH THERE ARE GLITCHES, like the neutral units (villagers etc.) become identified as enemies. Now Edson you tell the single player mode does not work at all with the 1.29 patch? I reinstalled my 1.27 patch to see if it was an error on compressing my map or due to the 1.29 patch. I see that my neutral units are back to neutral. Sad because to play with other player on Battlenet it will work but all villager will get killed within a few minutes.

Hi Keas, the heroes in multiplayer have armies respawning once there are no more units other than the hero. As the computer heroes level up by time the armies get bigger and with stronger units.

OK About the single player quest, there is a problem in this map version. But the quest will start if you wait. I had forgotten some testing units (Raziel Wraith form) and it seems to be interfering. I added a few quests. I will try and fix that problem and have a better version uploaded soon.

  4. You don't feel like playing LoK at all. It's just a Warcraft map with different models and a nice environment. Might as well leave it as a terrain template.
  5. I'm not sure Potion of Omniscience should be available.
  6. Try not to use units with hero glow as units and add hero glow to heroes without it: How to add Hero Glow without Modeling One problem with hero models as units is that they don't decay.
  7. Should not have invulnerable barrels and vulnerable ones with items inside because this might create confusion. Make them all vulnerable unless you differentiated them with varied models.
  8. Even enemies are ordinary.
  9. Maybe add some game text or something to know what place is where you are.
  10. Terrain is pretty much flat.
  11. Sometimes the camera doesn't reset itself after an event. Example: Sarafan Mausoleum.
  12. Many heroes have the same abilities.
  13. What's Van Helsing doing in all of this?
  14. So, what's the goal in multiplayer?
  15. Some heroes and units have the same icon.
  16. The ship shows only 6 units but more than that can get in.
  17. Gates close by themselves too fast. There should be an option to choose when to close and open them not to have a unit near the lever.
  18. What about some directions for the quests? Where's whatever forest or place?
  19. Camera shifts during play and even battle are annoying.
  20. Couldn't find the creature Helsing told me about in order to find Janos. The way to Janos is blocked by pathing blockers.
  21. You mostly kill units on the map.
Overall it still is pretty much under development.

You should hide the credits between [spoiler ] [/ spoiler] tags without the spaces.

Woah, hey man, chill out, what's cookin'? I have played the Legacy of Kain series and your map is nothing like it, apart from some aesthetics. If I'd be Amy Hennig, I'd be disappointed.
I also give nitpicking comments but those are not what need fixing, those are just for polishing.
I have played tons of maps and games to know what is good and what's lacking.
But, yes, everyone is entitled to an opinion, doesn't mean they're also right.

My AI heroes just work the best and it felt like they were alive and smart. In this map I cursed because the AI as a tendency to be dumb so I had to make some triggers to call them back in action. Should the AI triggers I made worked as good that in my Star Wars map it would have been epic. It is not so bad, but after hours of thinking and trying stuff I gave up. Instead I concentrated on trying to make a good terraining that ressembles the map of Blood Omen and Soul Reaver and on the heroes of the Saga. The single player since the latest update is starting to be fun and feel like a real RPG game with the original Blood Omen story for the most. Play it should last a few hours.

I love the passion you give to your work and thats awesome. I was interested in the AI because even if i love single player experience and questing. The AI give a random "replayability" which increases the chances of something never experienced before happen. And dont quote me on that because even in single player Rpg like this one have replayability but i think you know what i meant. Ill tell you something that happened to chinese authors that i have the pleasure to know and talk. One guy made an incredible map that was a MOBA Rpg style with incredible smart AI and i play this map regularly everytime i can as a default map. But even being proud about it he knows a lot of people dont make AI because is very time consuming and the effort sometimes is not worth it. But when he knew that a guy from the other part of the world (im from Argentina) played the map with dedication and love (because i translate what i could with google translate using the photo app on the phone and then i made a paint to correct the translation for future references). he felt this was the reason he put so much effort in. Great map and keep the passion up!

First, I don't camera reset. Just because if find it is useless triggering and sometimes the camera view can be fun. Just you a mouse scroll without spending much calories.
That sounds pretty lazy.
Second I have played all of the LOK games many times. The first part IS IMAGINED BECAUSE THERE ARE NOT GAMES IN THE TIME OF THE SARAFAN so yes I included Van Helsing in that ere because the LOK Lore doesn't mention anything about that era. If you go in one of the pubs you will see a waitress called Annie Pooh, that is my girlfriend's nickname.
Those are details which are not an issue. The gameplay however is. Thanks for the history though.
I get in the real story Just after the Janos mission. DID YOU PLAY UNTIL KAIN appears? THEN YOU WILL SEE I FOLLOW THE STORY AND IS IS EXACTLY LIKE THE GAMES. So Far you can play until Dark Eden. What you played is a PRELUDE.
I couldn't get to when Kain appears because I couldn't reach Janos. There was a (invisible) pathing blocker on the ramp to him. Helsing said I had to first find someone else before Janos but I couldn't find that creature. You should create quests in the Quest Log with detailed directions because the map isn't quite small. Plus, you might forget what to do if you save and decide to play later.
The story might be related to the original series but the gameplay is not. I don't think there's any puzzle or ability progression like in the actual series.
I don't care if there are warcraft Items because the LOK lore doesn't exist other than for a few items. When YOU WILL PLAY THE GAME WITH KAIN, you will see those items appear.
To me, this is still laziness. You could take some minutes to think of something to fit the universe. Please, not caring is the reason for many human failures and misunderstandings.
To complete the JKanos Quest you should make certain you use Raziel and have him near the water and all the sarafan team is teleported inside Janos lair. If you use the crystal and activate the telporters once inside you can reach Janos. It is a quest with some puzzles.
Thanks for the spoiler but as I've mentioned some while back (in another post) I have not reached that point yet. Puzzle you say? That's interesting. I'll really give this another try if you make proper quests in the log so you know where to go and what you need to look for (not saying you should give spoilers).
So this is why I am pissed with your destructive review because people will read it and might believe it.
Everything I wrote, is what's there. I have no idea what you're saying isn't true. There are Warcraft items and abilities, the gameplay=/=original series, superficial quest descriptions, camera issues which always trigger in certain areas (some being OK, others being annoying during battles), enemies with usual Warcraft mechanics (abilities, damage and armour types etc.), lovely visuals but with some places with few doodad and tile variation and mostly flat terrain (this is the least if not an issue at all), gates which only stay open for a time and you need a unit near the lever for other units to be able to pass through without it closing by itself. Please, be understanding.
I made the barrels invulnerable so there are some left ingame. it is an aesthetic perspective. Etc.
I know that. I just suggested you make the invulnerable ones look totally different. There are so many models on this site to choose from. Of course, that's your choice.
Some of your comments I agree with. For example the multiplayer needs a goal, but so far I cannot really think of one not so complicated.
Well, just consider what the map layout can actually let you do. I see you tried making it some sort of AoS. That doesn't work very well if the map is not symmetrical so everyone can have the same advantage. However, you could make it more of an RPG where every faction would have to do something in order to win e.g. defeat the boss of the other factions or do some missions across the map like in some sort of Risk game fashion. Of course, you could leave parts of the AoS aspect but consider the disadvantages it might bring. I'm referring to having neutral units from each faction do things on the map for the sake of the universe's liveliness.
Consider each faction base to have shops (with differentiated items depending on what the faction needs and standard/common items), NPCs to interact with either through missions or hints or lore bits.
I like that you made some places only accessible with the ship for instance but you also have to have other routes for one faction not to ambush the invading one through camping gameplay.
With time I might remove some Warcraft item names But now there is much more important work to be done.
Names are but a small part. The stats, abilities and whatever else they give should be fit to the LoK theme somehow.

Also, some heroes have an extra ability like those with Defend. You should think about that since that creates an advantage for them. Try making each hero special, don't use the same abilities on more than one or if not possible at least a few. There are a lot of nifty abilities you could add from the site: Spells | HIVE

When meeting the vampire archers after battling the wolves, the camera still changes in and out as your units circumvent trees to reach the vampires while they shoot at you. It's OK if you only play with one unit but when there are more...
Items are still Warcraft III. What do Troll Berserkers or Murlocs have to do with LoK?
You still have to leave on unit behind near the lever to be able to get through the gate.
Try adding different icons for the heroes so you now who's who when tabbing in a control group or using the F keys.
It's good that there are pings on the map for quests but they don't reappear from time to time, they only show once.
One of the Vampire Brides dropped Sentry Wards. What the hell am I supposed to do with those apart form sell it? Are there any invisible units to worry about?
So, why are the priests outside aggressive and the ones inside neutral?
Units should pause/stop during cinematic mode. Some of the heroes were behind (facing with their backs) the vampire hunters when talking to them.
That scepter... put it more in front of Helsing... I was searching for it for minutes...
During the fight with Janos, the camera shifts are horrendous.
I have no idea what those crystals in Janos' retreat were... got one of them and then after battling Janos (the heroes somehow teleported and reached him), that crystal was gone from my inventory.

Oh come on man, even Kain has the same spells as the Sarafan. This is not fun.
Ice Shard in a barrel!?
Kain has mana but only passive spells.
Inferno Stone in a barrel near the tavern in Zuhr-whatever.
Funny thing is that this Kain was too powerful to be killed by mere bandits... Actually, you killed him and the bandits suddenly disappeared...

Kain's Life Drain spell mentions the Dark Ranger.
Kain has two Hearts of Darkness.
I still have the boat I bought for 50 gold before dying :D But none of my items though. Went to buy others. Kind of weird that a Greater Potion of Mana costs 400 and Khadgar's Pipe of Insight 500.

Up until Kain's plot, the game feels like a Reign of Chaos RPG. Afterwards, it's not really LoK but at least it's a gameplay improvement.
The problem with his abilities is that their description is just a story, it doesn't tell any details.
Berserk's buff icon isn't the same; it's as the original one from Warcraft. I think this spell still keeps the 50% more damage taken even though the description doesn't say it.
Creatures can sleep at night. Some may even be avoided due to enough space to go around them.
You can get out of "boss" battles, regenerate and return to them while they are not fully regenerated. Thing is, you don't really have on what to grow level as creatures don't reappear.
Sanctuary's buff icon not the same as the spell's.
Problem with the bat spell is you can go to places that you're not supposed to reach yet. Also, you can't cancel/stop the spell. You have to wait...
Feed doesn't get stronger.
One of Kain's transmissions during the meeting with Vorador can't be all seen. Check that discussing to see if the text is not too much for the transmission box to be shown.
Too bad you can't carry enough items. You have to decide which weapon because your inventory will be filled with useless stuff which you can't drop.
Some of the Brides are stuck behind trees to the north-west of the mansion.

Anyways, there needs to be balance. Vorador seems to get pawned by Malek if you miss casting a few spells. Two pillar guardians returned during the fight.

OK this is a better and constructive review. I am working on the multiplayer spells for more variations and balance. It will touch the Sarafan, but less as they are kind of limited due to their class. I will see for Kain human spells you are right. I will try to vary for him. Also the items poping out randomly is more for the yeah factor not really story wise. This I may consider in later later updates. I am still working on a few cameras, I must admit you were right about that one. I kind of got insulted by the 2 stars rating. You are still demanding giving 3 stars, but I will take it as being a 3 stars and a half. Good idea aout vampirefeed spell getting more potent. But I wonder how to trigger this, I have always had problem when adding removing spells. I will try but with no promise. In the multiplayer this will be a good idea to had to stronger vampires. Most of what you suggest can be addressed with little work.

I love the passion you give to your work and thats awesome. I was interested in the AI because even if i love single player experience and questing. The AI give a random "replayability" which increases the chances of something never experienced before happen. And dont quote me on that because even in single player Rpg like this one have replayability but i think you know what i meant. Ill tell you something that happened to chinese authors that i have the pleasure to know and talk. One guy made an incredible map that was a MOBA Rpg style with incredible smart AI and i play this map regularly everytime i can as a default map. But even being proud about it he knows a lot of people dont make AI because is very time consuming and the effort sometimes is not worth it. But when he knew that a guy from the other part of the world (im from Argentina) played the map with dedication and love (because i translate what i could with google translate using the photo app on the phone and then i made a paint to correct the translation for future references). he felt this was the reason he put so much effort in. Great map and keep the passion up!

What is that map RPG map you play. I am mostly working on mine now, but sometimes I play other maps. Also I am working on fixing the AI of the multiplayer map, it should get better. Mainly just doing fixes were the units get stuck or are inactive for too long.

Well you could just make more versions of that spell and add-remove them depending on Kain's level or the easier way, make it so you can level it up through the abilities menu like any other spell.
Thanks for reviewing by the way. It is for free like map making and modeling et. But it keeps the community alive and it is appreciated. I will finish the quest of Blood Omen and do fixes and maybe in about two weeks I will send you a message if you want to fast play until the end and see changes.

He has 2 charge, you can use them to resurrect allies during the Nemesis battle for example (and there you gain a lot of levels by joining battle), otherwise those 2 charges can be recharged by feeding one of the 4 Blood Fountain found on the map.

I already corrected most little mistakes for next update like speech not showing and the buff of sanctuary. Started removing some items like potion of omniscience and others that are useless, but ward is ok as vampires ingame can shadow meld and same for thiefs. I will try to remove the names on items that are too much related to the WC3 story.

I may add a few respawn trigger for some creeps. BUt you will get more enemies anyway in the story as I will continue with Kain evolves and Raziel Wraith. You will keep the same Kain simply with another Evolved look (the Yellow Kain).

I see. I did not know that. I thought it was a bug or something that you get two from the start.

Well, I was pretty much weak when trying to fight Nupraptor. I had to fight him a couple of times to get his HP lowered so when meeting him again he'd have less HP than me.
Also, that closing door there is very annoying.

Ah, really based on a Van Helsing universe?
No ! It is really based on LOK Soul Reaver game saga. I just included the name Van Helsing. I actually removed it in the update v 9.0 that I am going to make today. It has all the Blood Omen quests and many fixes. This is the update to have. I will post it later on today. I am just going to test it really fast one last time before.

Haven't played version 9.6, but it gave me Ancient Vampire skillset lvl 6 whenever I reached that level on any character when I was testing 9.5 version of the map. And I mean every character. Janos in particular had the Ancient skillset he already had, but also got a second one. It also gave human characters a Feed ability and made two separate Feeds for characters that already had it.

I think it'd be somewhat easier if you just added the skillset as an actual skill for the heroes and trigger it, so that it advances its level and unlocks next skills with level. Plus it'd leave more space in the inventory.

Also, the camera changes are nauseating.

Thanks for the Bug report. I don't understand how humans can receive feed ability as it is triggered per unit type? I just tested a Human Sarafan and he doesn't ever get the feed ability. Most probably you played a vampiric race or i accidently put the wrong unit in the trigger. So tell me which one if you remeber. Skills are item removed then added. So all should be good, but about Janos it was because I changed the Unit, so now it should work. About 2 feed skills, can you mention the units. If it is with all other units than Kain, than I know how to fix it. Thanks.

OK since the 9.6 update the items are al good for Janos audron, same for feed. But I realized I did not put him as a flying unit target when he is in Bat Form. This will be fixed in the 9.7 update. As for Raziel having feed. Weird. Maybe it is a one time bug or I never noticed it. I will check. For Kain I had many problems because he canges in so many shapes with that feed ability. But I will check for it. Otherwise so far I tested a few units and all seems good. I noticed Umah item cloak ability overlapped with her feed ability so we don,t get the feed button until she as all abilities leveled up. i will have to remove that abilty from her cloak (sad it was a good idea because the model wears a cloak). Wait for update 9.7. I have replaced many Sarafan models with more unique ones and I have a new Sarafan Keep model that is more immersive and I added a few doors on buildings. It is more cosmetic than anything, but it works. Try to finish the Kain quest without cheats. I tried balancing Bosses for update 9.7. I should release it around monday. Well I can see you put a lot of work in this map, lots of custom models, and you made the story of my favorite LoK game Blood Omen, so great job man game looks real good.

BUT (and it is a big but) there are plenty of problems, the biggest and most annoying Doors, they open and close at random, sometimes too fast, sometimes they bug and never open leaving you locked in, second most annoying problem camera changes, forcing your camera is terrible, sometimes they change in middle of combat sucks a lot.

Many times I had to use bat for or wolf jump to escape doors or invisible barriers, or those glowing barriers.

Quest items, if you get them with the horse those you can not drop you get a game breaking bug, happened to me with Vorador's Ring, I guess you can just kill the Horse and it may be droped, still sucks, I had to reload, from then on learned to save every 3 minutes, wich makes the game pretty boring.

The Sarafan Prelude story there is just too many narrow passages, and heroes get stuck all the time, and again the camera changes are extra pain.

Guess I should list places I can remember I got stuck:
*The Cathedral you get the Soulreaver Sword, had to blink out of it, Dark Eden had to Jump out inivisible barrier. Also in the Sarafan Prelude I entered the Sarafan church the door was a tremendous headache, with a bunch of heroes leaving was impossible the door kept closing.

Now Blood Fountains, I found 3 but only 2 worked (bandit camp and Dark Eden) the other one I found was in the mountains around Sarafan base, but used feed on it it did not replenish Hearts nor gave any bonus not even the message "Blood of ages sweet..."

I guess to fix the camera problem inside buildings you could make the inside be a new area, like the building is a portal.

Anyhow great job here, just sad you could not find a model with Kain's armor from Blood Omen I, still game is looking great.

Oh and a personal request, please make an AoS war version of just Vampires VS Humans, I really dont like the Angel Vampire thing for me it is when the story went downhill. Also why is Vorador a hero in the Ancient team, he is second generation.

EDIT: Forgot to mention in multiplayer Vorador entering wolf form he loses the Feed ability when he turns back, permanently, wich sucks.

You would have to explain, did you have to use jump speel or flight after to cross those barriers after or before you defeated the bossess. Because I put those barriers for two reason. The first to limit Kain Human and the sarafan to some areas. The second and that was the request was to prevent Kain from escaping a boss fight. What worries me is it a bug you experienced or simply that. But in theory you should have not have even been able to use jump or flight during a flight. Well did you test the most recent version, because many of those bugs I fixed in later version.


About the camera. It is a problem while fighting that may occur in specific region. Especially if you have many units crossing those areas while you are fighting. I will see if simply moving some camera region around or making the time for camera region to turn on and off might do the trick in outside regions.

About the horse and items and the new pick up item from coffin ability that is a bug! Thanks I will make a trigger for only Kain to pick up those items.


Also the blood fountain, I may have forgotten to include it. That is an easy fix.

The Sarafan quest narrow passages is anoying in the Janos quest in his lair, but I cannot do much unless I limit the number of heroes entering his lair. Hum, what you suggest is making a camping ith loading maps. That is an idea I am thinking of, but you would not be ale to play mutliplayer anymore.

So the map is a 4 stars. Hope in the next big update I can reach closer and closer to 5 stars. But 4 is really good. Like I said I can address bugs easily, but I cannot fix all the problems with the narrow Janos lair. It is the most annoying fight when some heroes are not in his lair and the other cameras are triggered by other heroes. I will see, time may give me an idea.

About the armor, I need help by modelers and skinners for texture. I posted, and even wrote to 3 or 4 members that are good artists, but I got no positive answers yet. It would be a game changer. For example we could really personnalize some skins to look more like original characters form the LOK lore.

My next update will be maybe in a month or two. I am on vacation now, but will start working soon. I want that update to be good. I am working on it now and mostly adding nice models. I will also try and add souns and music. Also I will do atleat one Soul Reaver quest with Raziel. But again, the problem is map size, like you said it may be good to have loading maps. But still I will do a miny quest for him.

Just move/teleport all heroes in a region where the camera does not change and/or let only Raziel do the camera changes and inform the player about it.

The barrier problem happened inside the Cathedral where the Soulreaver Sword is, I understand you wanted to trap player inside so he does not escape the fight but after I killed the boss the barrier still stands, same in Dark Eden after killing Malek with Vorador and the 2 other guardians the path out Dark Eden was blocked by invisible wall. FOREVER.

I take everything in note. The barrier problem worries me. I beta tested and it seemed not to happen. I will try it again because I trust your experience and I was tired testing the map. Maybe I changed something at the last minute. I will retest.

About the cinematics, do you mean just the meeting were Moebius takes about the mission to kill Janos or do you mean skipping completely the Sarafan chapter.

I did not put that option because while they talk some units are spawned, but that an easy cut anp paste fix.

About the cameras, I cannot do much more then put a longer period to turn them back on. So if your horsy is a little late he will have time to pass.

I may do a fast update soon, because the barrier problem is a big issue.

Actually, if you use a unit enters region then wait then apply camera, that would still trigger the camera change but after the wait time. So, better only make the camera change when the main hero is going through the regions.

ot in my case, because I made my triggers with turn on and turn back on. I ment changing the time before the trigger turns back on. So now I have a small wait time in narrow regions and it is about of 5 second inwider areas, but I could change it to lets say 10 or 15 second in areas that are wide, but it will also turn it off in multiplayr for other players for that period of time, but I think putting like a 10 seond time would not affect the gameplay so much and give time for other owned units to cross.

I see but what if your horse is far from you and being sent from the shop towards you while you're fighting and looking at the battle and then suddenly you get a camera angle change, possibly even the screen being panned somewhere else (where the horse went through)?

OK Fantocan I fixed the major bugs to told me about. Thanks for letting me know I would have probably not found out about it for a long time otherwise. It took me much work to retest and mostly to add a cinematic skip. I had to figure out a few things. Worked all evening on it, but it is my baby project in a sense so might as well leave a good game to play after all the work i put in it.

I see but what if your horse is far from you and being sent from the shop towards you while you're fighting and looking at the battle and then suddenly you get a camera angle change, possibly even the screen being panned somewhere else (where the horse went through)?
I fixed the problem. I made it so only heroes can activate camera triggers. I also found out I had many cameras. My wrist started being tired of cat and paste LOL

By cinematics I mean all of them, the ones from the begining to end, ESC just closes the legends but you still wait the same time, and the camera changes are very anoying even with just one guy, you could make a menu in the start for those things like "would you like to be able to skip/faster cinematics pressing ESC" same for camera changes.

I assure you 99% of the people will say yes for that change. (the 1% will be the maker :p, I know you was trying to do something cool here but taking control of the camera feels very invasive, like a person grabs your dick when you need it but never warns you, it may be helpfull later on but the shock feels bad).

So yeah waiting for cinematics is bad.

Oh and skiping the Sarafan quest might be a nice touch as well.
