This post screams "I haven't played Dark Souls." Vortigon is just being faithful to the original design.

hehe thank you but after looking carefully at dark souls hexes I realized some of them (dark orb) had extra dark purple particles and that the white wasn't actually pure white but rather slightly pinky-purple white.
But I like this design and I already saw others very cool black and white effects on THW so it'll match with them eventually.
