[+] -
[!] -
[-] - Credit should be post at the cinematic, not inside the WE.
[-] - Camera sometimes just stay lock at the same position for a long duration.
[-] - Camera sometimes run through destructible/doodad.
[-] - Seems like there is 2 typo error, but I could have mistaken as well.
[-] - Some dialog missing.
[-] - Only 1 dialog have sound.
[-] - The victory action should have skip everthing.

Review : When the author of this map claim how good this cinematic is, I was thinking if this is another air head bragging how good their cinematic is only to found out it's a thrash.

But, I was certainly mistaken. The terrain of this cinematic look rather impressive.

However, I notice the camera have 3 problem.

1) The camera sometimes run through destructible/doodad.
2) The camera switch it's view from one character to another. (It is fine, but if you do it too often it would just ruin it.)
3) The camera sometimes stay hold at the same position for a long duration.

In addition, there is only 1 dialog have sound and 1 of the dialog in this cinematic have no script at all.

Either the entire dialog in the cinematic have sound or doesnt have it. If sometimes the dialog have sound and sometimes doesn't, it would just ruin the fun part of it.

Nevertheless, there should be a credit cinematic for those author of the original resources which you just use it for your cinematic. Not post the credit at WE trigger.

Finally, the cinematic seem to skipped right to the battle scenery which is a kill joy of it and the victory action should have skip dialog and scores.

Another -17 point for this map.

wow, you really analyzed my map xD

ya the camera the switches from 1 character to another was intended.
sorry about one of the cameras passing through a doodad/ terrain.

i wasn't going to put in dialog sound, but i thought it would be interesting to at least have the balrog speak...

thnx for the review sep :)

this cinematic was okay. but not somthing i would watch again. you should add atleast music to the background. especially in the beginning if not anywhere else. i know that there is a 4 MB limit on multiplayer games on b.net, but since ur not hosting this on b.net you should find some nice LOTR music and place it in here to drive up the performance. also the action was very random at the end. where gandelf all of a sudden was with the balrog. i think it would be better if the story included how the fellowship got through the mines of moria.

also do what u can about finding better models. you have a gandalf model, but everyone else was generic warcraft, which was dissapointing. so bottom line

-put in music, dont worry u have the room in your map
-make significant additions to story line to include moria
-better models for the units to make a better LOTR feel.

id give this a 3/5 becauase its clear you worked hard on it, and it wont take that much to get atleast a 4/5.

oops i forgot to tell everyone.

that there is music. You have to turn the SOUND to 100%,

sorry forgot to say that, and by the way, i wasn't planning to update this map further >.> but if i get enough incentive or if im inspired one day ill change it up.

edit :by the way this was a prelude to the campagn that i was making, and that i would save a moria interlude for
"Chapter 8 - The Mines of Moria ".

by the way i now have incentive because of the UTM.
Im going to remake the terrain and extend this some more so.

thx

if we need to turn our volume all the way up maybe u should add a little message at the start of the cinematic. also you should put in LOTR music (im guessing there isnt any because the map size is only 220 kb). and there is alot of opportunity for custome models, which can be found on this site to. so you could really rip this cinematic up if u took advantage of imports (you can fit ALOT into this map). good luck - ill keep an eye out for this again to see how awsome you may/may not of made it :)

sweet. just make sure its not just like regular fighting. i think it would be sick if you timed each "pan" of the camera to where orcs were getting slaughterd. (just so u understand me), like aragorn will kill a unit and the camera will zap to the orc getting killed, then instintly over to legolas shooting an arrow at another, then instintly over to gimli who swings and kills 2 orcs with 1 blow. somthing fast paced like that.

to be honest with you i wasnt quite pleased with this cinematic, i had my speakers on full and all i could hear was "the sound of silence" but still i think it could make a good cinematic if you use more time on it, right now there is too little action, when the two "persons" fight its not really much of a battle. Also if you continue on this i think you should put out an voice request on the forums.

i give it a total of 2/5

Oh dear I feel a bit bored now.
1) You should have used LotR soundtrack!!
2) The terrain was quite good.
3) I didn't like the cameras. A bit boring... and going through trees and ground. You should show more of your terrain!
4) Frodo with a beard? Sam with an armor? Legolas? A woman? Ok, Gandalf looks great. :D
5)Karatharas? It's Caradhras (Caradh - Red (form of Caran) Ras - Horn) and it's a peak, the mountains are called Misty Mountains. And I think you mispelled even Lorien.
6) The scene with balrog... you should use the original dialog. Or a part of it. And it would be awesome if the balrog fell.
7) The "snowing" in the beginning is too long. Looks good, but too long.
8) The characters doesn't sound authentically.
9) I don't know why the prologue is placed in the middle of the story...

I'm glad you've chosen that awesome universe but... many things can be improved.
