Plague Spreader

Inspired by the WoW plague spreader, found it while searching for in lore skyships, and the disgn was simple enough, so why not?

The colors were made that way to fit more with the scourge aesthetic in wc3.

Give credits, you may edit the thing too.

Update: just forgot the icon.

Fantastic. Amazing likeness, all in-game textures, wrapped well, all the good animations, and just as useful for Forsaken I reckon. Got TC and all that. I could almost say, looking at the in-game screenshot (thanks by the way) that it seems a tad bit detailed; like it's meant to be seen in WoW, or zoomed out as a building rather than a unit. Wait, is that the point?

The only possible additions could be size (looked big in viewer), SFX, an Attack animation (w/o SFX)... But honestly it's just grand. I'm only sad that WoW eschewed the whole "plague cauldron" look; I'm a big fan of it & always wanted to see a "plague spreader" like that. ; )

Thanks! Also, the idea is that its big (for a wc3 unit at least) I never actually played much WoW, so I don't know if it needs to be smaller, sorry.I'm using it for something the size will look good, I think.

I didnt add the attack because I'm still at the time am trying to discover how to make the spray, wich means looking at the orc marine model, and I'm quite lazy to learn new things. I just learned how to make global animations.

Uhm, is there some concept I dont know about that? I'm actually interested.

I don't think it's actually a problem (except possibly with the texture-wrapping detail, as I mentioned). It's just that before I saw the screenshot, I saw the image & thought of something relatively small; like smaller than the TFT Obelisks. So I was predisposed to expect a small thing. The WoW screenshot makes it look more like a mini-Necropolis.

Lol, I understand. Cool to see you learning new skills.

Not precisely... A while back, Ujimasa was rewrapping the Human Towers to make Forsaken towers. Being a big fan/designer of the Forsaken race myself, I got pretty excited. In the middle of that (search: "cauldron"), I mentioned how cool it would be to bring back the concept from the Wc3 manuals of how the Cult of the Damned (in order to bring about the Scourge) set up huge enchanted cauldrons full of the Lich King's deadly Plague, to spread across Lordaeron.

This is the WoW-version; seems neat but kinda boring-shaped. Cool skull-chains.

From Wildstar; note the logs (fuel for fire) and curved lip. Goopy green.
latest

BANJO-KAZOOIE!! Dingpot is a character; ignore the eyes, but the handles are very cool, & the riveted rim is a nice touch.

This is the king of evil cauldrons, from the movie "The Black Cauldron". Hecka tight. Rings, pedestal, goopy smoky, etc.

Anyway, as I described in the earlier linked post, I think the Forsaken should 100% have a Plague Cauldron of some kind, a hold-over from the early Scourge & a testament to their dedication to the New Plague.

Some kind of 'cauldron-on-a-pedestal' could work, but when considering it as a Tower Upgrade, it made sense that they'd stick a giant bubbling cauldron onto the ruined husk of a Human Scout Tower (so, kinda like the "Ruined Tower" doodads; top of the tower/crenellations are all smoky & broken off, with a giant cauldron put into the cavity on top).

Y'know, just a random idea. xD

The texture detail is appreciated.

I would dirty the bone horns though, I think they are too white.

Tried to make some, await update, will leae this one tho as an alternate version.

This is really nice 5/5. Would you make a plague cauldron model too like seen in western plaguelands?

I might try, it doesnt seem so hard, I have an weird idea for it.
