Peasant House

Upgradeable (3-tiered) medieval thatched cottage intended as houses for the lower peasant class like farmers, miners, woodcutters, etc.
Has phased building animations which show the stepwise construction of support beams, floors, walls and roof.
The rough concept/inspiration for the model were the barbarian house/hut models from 'Total War: Rome 2'.

The model only uses ingame textures (for low filesize) and has a portrait camera, team colour, attachment points (Overhead Ref, Origin Ref and the five Sprite Refs) and the standard animations (Stand/Birth/Death/Decay).

Updates:
-Added death sound
-Fixed/changed the fire attachment points (Sprite Refs)
-Darkened geosets in death and decay animations

Pls give credits, if you use it in your map.
You are allowed to modify it as long as you give credits.

Amazing hut, I could live here! The teir 1 is what I like the most because it reminds me of my house :ogre_hurrhurr:

Nice! you're back to modeling.
This house is solid and fancy, as usual.
It seems it lacks death sounds or damage fire attachment points, but if they get fixed this would be the rating.

I think the windows on the roof dont fit well with the thatched roof (especially on tier 1 they look strange, as they have the half-timbered look). Personally I'm not a fan of ground terrain in building models, but on this one looks ok.
But thats criticism on a high level, the model still looks really good.

Thanks, death sound and fire attachment points should be added/fixed now. :)

I don't think the wood is a problem as the thachted roof has an (implied) wood structure under the straw. The problem I'd have is that the window is made of fancy clear glass that doesn't fit to an ancient/medieval building for the lower classes...
But there just aren't any fitting window textures without glass in War3 and the farm house texture just has the most fitting texture to that kind of thatched framework house in my opinion. All in all one's kinda used to the texture in War3 so I think it's ok.

Yea, the ground terrain has it's pros and cons but one can easily remove/hide it if so desired. Also I made most of the model some time ago and just found it again and thought I'd finish it up and upload it here so someone might use it. Thus I'm not really that inclined to make to many changes now anymore, sorry.
