Path Of Blood is a unique hero defense map, featuring:


  • Randomization systems make every single game different from the last time you played
  • Unique units each with their own special ability
  • Equipment System that allows players to equip weapons and armor that grant various abilities
  • Unique and polished cutting edge Gore System never seen before! Wounded enemies bleed and scream, dying enemies explode in a shower of blood and various bodyparts that have all been specifically modeled for this system.
  • Triggered hero, weapon and armor abilities
  • Dozens of items to discover
  • New never seen before custom models
  • Strategic boss battles
  • 9 totally different terrains
  • A huge replay value


Modes


Once the map is fully completed, there will be four modes: SOLO, FFA, Small Teams and Large Teams. At the moment only "SOLO"-mode has been implemented since the map can't support multiple players just yet.

  • SOLO: FINISHED
    • For 1-8 players
    • All players in this mode will fight against computer controlled waves alone.
    • Every 5th level there will be a boss that has to be defeated.
    • In order to complete this mode, player must stay alive and defeat the final boss at level 50.
    • This mode can be played in single-player or with friends online. The amount of players doesn't matter.
  • FFA: UNFINISHED
    • For 1-8 players
    • Like in SOLO mode, all players will fight against computer forces alone.
    • Every 5th level a tournament will occur and players will face each other.
    • In order to win this mode, player must stay alive and have most wins from tournaments at level 50. A final tournament will be held in case the players are tied.
  • Small Teams: UNFINISHED
    • For 4, 6 or 8 players
    • In this mode, players will be divided into two teams.
    • Every 5th level there will be a speed round. The team that first finishes it will win the round.
    • To win this mode the team who has most wins in level 50, will win. If the teams are in a tie, a final speed round will take place.
  • Large Teams: UNFINISHED
    • For 6 or 8 players
    • Players will be divided either to two player teams or four player teams.
    • Every 5th level a grand battle will happen. Both teams must first eliminate a boss and then their all heroes and units will be send to a battle arena where they must face each other.
    • The team who has most victories in level 50 will win. If there is a tie there will be a final grand battle.

The map is far from done. We have made this map as open as we can to expand the game.

  • Map is currently capable of supporting 1 player
    • Our goal is to be able to support at least 8 players
  • The game currently has one game mode
    • There will be 4 modes
  • Only one line is now in use.
    • There will be totally of 9 lines, each of them will have a different theme
  • Currently there are 3 bosses
    • We are planning to make bosses as much as our motivation goes
  • About 35% units are made
    • At the moment we have enough units, but the maximum number of units the game will handle will be 100
  • Only one Hero Trait ability is created
    • We are planning to make more Hero Trait abilities in near future, there will be 12 Hero Traits in total
  • Only one Hero Speciality ability is created
    • We are planning to make more Hero Speciality abilities in near future, there will be 12 Hero Specialities in total

Tips & Hints


Here is a list of some information for you to help you while playing the game.




  • Every 5th level will be a unique level. If you win in this round, an unique item will be rewarded.
  • You cannot face same boss more than once in a game.
    • this will be implemented in future versions

Comment: Gameplay :

The map is a bit boring because of the spells which aren't really so custom.

At the moment our highest priority is fixing bugs. Later we will move our focus to creating additional content (such as items, weapons, armors and bosses) and improving the terrain

Nice map, I like the idea. Hope you keep working on it. Also, some bugs:
-Picking up an attribute point has no effect;
-Insta-sell also works on potions and scrolls;
-Hotkeys don't work for Storm Bolt (nothing happens when I press t) and Power Slam (The hotkey is H, same as Hold Position);
-I only fight the mammoth every 5 levels. Aren't there any other bosses?
-You can't research Warlord because it requires Arcane Vault which obviously you can't build;
-If there are waves up to level 50, I think it's almost impossible to get there. I barely got to wave 31.

I believe this project is pretty much dead. Unless, someone here with a great terraining skills could finish the terrain for each player(8 totally different terrains). Then I would have motivation actually continue the project and finish the map. As for Kitabatake, I believe he won't be continuing this map.

It's no problem for me to make this actually a team project. I'm pretty busy with my other project so I don't want to take full responsibility here.

to bad, clearly, im bad at terraining :((, mayby you shud go to a teraining workshop or somthing? i really want this map finished, me and my friend played multiplayer and we were enmies rofl, but that was a littel fun but then the creeps killed us, enyway, cant you just make a mod in 1 lane defend the whole players with a better handi cup or somthing?

Isn't the current map unprotected?

ummm, i never test, im not a hacker :wink: .
i will see what i can do, but if its to complicated , i will find someone other ho can continue, this project is awsome, but if i do make some changes, how will i ubdate the map?
