Pandaren Villager

The brave and skilled civizens of Pandaren villages and towns gather resources, maintain the infrastructure and do all other things that is key to maintain a good living. The villagers are much stronger and durable then any other worker of any race due to its nutrition and activities.

The model is based the male villager version 1 model and has been heavily modified to serve as a worker unit. Stand ready and Walk animations are custom mashed from other animation of the human villager. The sources are stored in a back pack to make it look different from other race's workers, especially the human peasant. The backpack, the feet, hat and ears and some minor parts has been made from scratch with MS3D by me.

Give credits if you use it in your campaign/map, DON'T distribute to other sites and DON'T edit without my permission.
Have fun with the model.

P.S.: Sorry for the bad quality of the main skin, but the original texture is very compressed.

Here's the awesome icon for it:

Only thing that I caught that doesn't look right is during his stand and walk gold and lumber animations his left hand isn't on the rope, but that's not really noticable ingame. Overall a superior model. Approved.

This is motherfucking win.
I like how gold and lumber carrying are made differently from other peon.
And I disagree with the idea of every pandaren are necessarly fat.
There's a pandaren blademaster model and he's not fat.
It's a peon unit and a bunch of fat peon would look silly.

I just suggest to add some straps because it seems he's suppose to hold invisible strap on lumber and gold animation. Why not modeling it for real?

Great googa mooga! Great model Frank. I disagree with these others about making him fat. The Brewmaster is fat because he sits around all day drinking beer. A worker has to earn an honest living, and that doesn't leave much time for getting fat. In fact, most pandaren units would probably not be fat.

Either way, good job.

Yeah, I had that idea too, but I was kinda lazy to realize it, but since you had the same idea I should try to implement it.

think he needs one of those basket things on his back.
It's simply too awesome. A basket would fit better, as Pandarens are based off the chinese.

Well, true indeed. I just realize that using a leather bag is a way too un-Asian, but hmm, I can't think of any basket texture.

Hmm looks nice, but i would like to
see some kind of basket, where he
transports the gold or lumber.
Would be more unique to the
"standard" workers animations.

I'm changing it to some kind of basket right now.

Updated!

Woah... this is a great model, and also good image display. The image quality doesn't really matter (good enough), heaps of animations plus his one of the most fittest Panda's I have ever seen.

Rating: 5/5 (can't say anything wrong about it, but excellence!)

I agree =) Great model , looks awesome ingame 5/5 :)

well instead of a basket for the wood, this is what olden day peasant used
i couldnt find the pic i wanted so i had to draw it up

not sure about the gold though. i am guessing a bag of gold on that thing instead of the wood

Yeah good idea, but I think that would be too polygon-intensive.

I agree =) Great model , looks awesome ingame 5/5 :)

Thank you.

I don't know wtf is wrong with some people here, but this is easily the BEST worker unit on the site.

1 - Has all the proper animations
2 - Not another elf
3 - Great skin
4 - Pandaren to boot

He doesn't need to be fat. You see the average chinese rice farmer? If anything, this guy should be a little skinnier.

Brilliant Model like usual GF! =)

Your right about that texture, its odd that they decided to put it as 128x128...

The only thing I can see that would be nice as an improvement is correcting his Stand - 4 Animation as it cuts through his basket and hat.

Ok, nice one etc.

Still, I think the hat has to be pointy, y'know... that would be more similar to the ones used in the real world, but that's only an opinion

Also... what's with the wrap on the back and on the legs? I'm seeing the screenshots in these pages... (I admit that, speaking without testing it)

Other than that, nice idea, good execution...

Have I allowed to edit it?

Who told you I've edited it? It could have been an image modified with Photoshop too.

I wanted only to be more precise upon my comment, to let you understand what I meant. I modified the wrap, taken the screenshot and deleted the modified model, total time: 2 minutes.

If the fact that I modified it without your permission disturbs you, at this moment I can only say "sorry", "be sure that I deleted it", "I wouldn't have used nor distributed the edited model anyway", thus blaming my thoughtlessness about it.
