Orc-Warlord (unmounted)

Orc-Warlord (unmounted)
"Death to all who oppose the Horde!"

In the past, the chieftain of an orc clan was also the warlord of the same.
But it could also happen that the Warchief of the Horde named a Slayer who performed great deeds on behalf of the Horde as a warlord and was thus granted control of an orc clan.
Either way, a warlord leads his clan's armies by example. In the first row, there where the ground is covered with blood, shouting war cries, he hacks his way through every land-based resistance with beastly strength.

Actually, I just wanted to get the orc warlord off his horse, but then decided against it because of the really ugly texturing and built my own from scratch.
Thanks to Bagysta for letting me use his texture and a big thank you to Archaos, who helped me with words and deeds to give the warlord a new animation set and how to fix glitching geosets!
Thank you very much.

Update:
I fixed the problem with mutually exclusive portrait animations. Unfortunately I haven't been able to figure out how to upload facefx_ingame files here yet. Use these links here to download the files. It should be self-explanatory which file is for which model ^^.

Update, May 17th: As one of my first models, there were still one or two bugs which I now easily know how to fix, as well as small changes to the animations (the glitchy stand 3 and an error in the dissipate animation) and small ones , optical revisions, which in retrospect really bothered me. I've added a 4th model that matches Thrall's Horde and a small change in models: Each model now has an individual weapon in their off-hand. I believe with these changes these models are finally finished and bug free. Should this not be the case, as always: Write it below in the comments.

Dude, yes. Amazing! I've always wanted to create a WC1 melee map in reforged with no-name heroes but also having the original spells. I don't know how to properly create a trigger so that raise dead when targeted on grunts they raise up as orc skeletal grunts instead of skeletons but then again I don't want that to apply to all units either. As well as summon Daemon where warlock self-sacrifices. Not sure how that works either. Nonetheless this model is absolutely legit. I knew someone would make it eventually with green skin portrait. 5/5

Just tested this beauty ingame and it looks so cool! But I noticed that a transition from default Stand animation to Stand 3 is kinda strange because of different start poses of these animations. And somehow when I import this model in the map it breaks the work of fel orc grunt portrait's talk animations :confused:2

I just fixed the problem with the portrait!
I forgot to change the Facefx paths.

Because of the animation:
I left the animation 3 in there because of a bit of variety, otherwise (unfortunately like the normal beastmaster) he would just stand around and breathe.
And I don't dare to adapt, because I would have to adapt everything by hand and that would look really modest (he would flinch around...a lot)

For some reason, Blackhand reminded him. Make the right hand with a black glove, and shorten the club, and the spilled Blackhand (but not red)

Do you add an emissive to an .mdx you're editing to make the eyes glow? I"m trying to learn to do that. I've done a simple copy and paste from and emissive and pasted onto the eyes of a diffuse and it gets results but not optimal results. Sorry I'm new to the whole thing but I got a few things I'm working on.
No need to go through with it but the Thrall Horde version would look dope with Warsong tattoo's. I agree with stickin with the red eyes, even then the Warsong still held to their savage nature of warfare even as part of Thrall's new horde.

Yes change both the diffuse and emissive color for the eyes

I like the idea and it has already been implemented. The Warlord of the "New" Horde now also has tattoos!

With the other models of the Warlords (i.e. the red and the green ones with spikes, even if there is a cloak over them) I would agree with you with the red eyes and the "savagery".
Have you read the book "Lord of the Clans"? The red eyes in the "New" Horde have a different meaning:
It's still a sign that the orc voluntarily consumed demon blood. No doubt. But demon blood is like a super drug.
It makes you stronger, more bloodthirsty, and more ruthless. As Grom said, "You feel the strength of five!"
It was only after the Second War that these orcs were cut off from their influx of demonic energy, with the slaying of all warlocks within the Horde.
A merciless cold detoxification.
But where the orcs, who didn't have red eyes, eventually subsided, those with red eyes still have the feeling: they are, so to speak, on withdrawal every day. And they can't do anything about it.
(Apart from killing the demons to whom the blood belonged. Which Grom did at the end of the orc campaign and finally freed all the "red eyes" from their suffering)
And yet these orcs tend to be the ones with the most strength and willpower. THIS is the meaning of the red eyes in Thrall's Horde:
  • Shame as they consumed demon blood and cursed themselves with it until the end of their lives.
  • Respect as they battle their withdrawal every day and move on with their new orcish lives.

The red-eyed orcs were also the first to notice when the Legion launched their invasion in WC3. Remember the mission "Cry of the Warsong" where Hellscream said: "Don't you feel it Thrall? Just like in the old days! As if demons were near!"
He felt the rise of demonic energy in the world. Just thrown in like that.

Thank you, thank you! He is perfect. I am loving them all
Your welcome!

Yeap I did read it loved it and know it. Orcs are my main race on wow. I do not mind the red eyes I only did not want them to be FULL red you know. That works when they already drinked the blood, but the one's which had some time away from it should still have peuples not a full on red eye. The models are all perfect and represent how an orc is depending on the stage of it's corruption.
My blademaster models also use red and blue eyes.

Yeah when I tried I don't think I did it right by copying and pasting lol. Let me try to put this together, sorry to bug I've learned quite a bit in a short time span but some things I have a hard time grasping. So if I was to add eye glow to a grunt I export the stormreaver warlock emissive to folder and edit in Paint.net or Photoshop, save and then "Add Texture" in model studio and save it to the grunt mdx.? Do I need to move the eye in the Emissive at all I'm guessing you don't but I so just want to make sure I do it right though. lol
