Map Info:
Orc Season is a mini game, intended for 4 or more players. Two teams are divided, the hunters and the preys. The hunters have to hunt around the preys before they "escape" or until the time expires. The preys can hide from the hunters by morphing into any object in the map.

In order to hide, the preys can grab any object in the map (by attacking it), move around with it and, if intended, take control of it (by pressing "X"). If you would like to drop it instead, you can do it by pressing "Z".

To win, the preys must find and destroy multiple "keys" (exclamation signs) distributed around the map before the time expires and avoiding the hunters.

The hunters must find which objects are controlled by a prey, and make a guess by attacking them. They have a limited amount of tries to accomplish this. If they find all the preys, they win. If they guess and they fail many times (by attacking objects that were not players), they die. If all hunters die, the preys win.

Score System: The game consists of several rounds, in which players gain points by their actions. Preys gain points individually by finding keys or by being the last standers, and as a team by finding all the keys. Hunters earn points individually by finding preys and as a team by hunting them all or by the time of the match expiring. When the game ends, the player(s) with most points wins.

Reviving System: Once a prey is found and killed or a hunter looses all his opportunities, it can be revived by a prey and as a prey. This would give the prey 1 point, but would allow the player revived to gain more points as well, giving more complexity to the game. When this happens, 2 keys are added to the map and have to be found in order for the preys to win. A prey can revive a ghost just by attacking it.

Abilities: Both hunters and preys have two abilities. Hunters can Ensnare objects (or preys) which allow them to reach them easier, but preys can escape from them. Also, they are enabled to use Bloodhounds, in order to have an aproximate location of the preys. Preys can Reveal themselves in order to run faster and escape from a snare, but also to perform a kick in the nuts of a hunter that is located nearby. This way, the Hunter remains stunned and the prey gets a few seconds to get away.

Some else stuff about map:

  • Hunters have lower vision than the preys but run faster (unless the prey is revealed).
  • Game is playeable both in english and in spanish
  • There are few units in each round that wander around but are not usable (neither to hide nor to hunt)

Author's notes:

You are completely free to edit whatever you want and to ask any questions, I just did it to play it with some friends of mine. You can make more mini-maps, and incorporate new models. I would appreciate some help, becouse I get bored if I have to do a lot of repetitive stuff.
I do not intend to make AI. Very difficult to make it enjoyable. If anyone wants to give it a try, feel free to do so!
There are actually 5 maps available to be played. I believe it is enough, but I may make more in the future.
The game has been tested and should not have many bugs. If you find any, feel free to ask for a fix or to try and solve it for yourself!

Well, I couldn't try this multiplayer unfortunately. It is a simple morphing game, that could be fun for some people. I trust you to update that map accordingly if people find issues within it. Approved.

Hello there. I just played your map! I thought I'd write you a bit of a review.

General Thoughts:
I thought that the game had a cool concept, but hiding in reality was somewhat impractical. Each revive makes the prey find more keys, making them move around more anyways. I believe that the prey and the hunters have the same exact vision distance, making it impossible to hide if you're prey anyways. What I mean is: if I'm disguised as a bush and running around looking for keys and a hunter sees me, I never had a chance to hide to begin with. I think that the prey should have increased vision, or maybe a way of giving themselves vision of an area (the camera is locked to your character, yes, but the minimap vision would be amazing.)​

Some bugs/unaddressed things I encountered:
  • When playing the English version, if you die as a prey and are revived, your revived unit is actually in Spanish
  • Ghosts can ping their location, making it easy for them to be revived. Perhaps intentional? However, it's almost more beneficial to stay as a ghost and ping the location of the hunters.
  • Finally, not sure if this is intentional or not, but a hunter can become a prey if he kills himself and is revived by the prey.
Triggers:
  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like in your triggers you are leaking points.
    • 'Set TempPoint[1] = random point in MapaMapa'
    • 'Create 1 Llave for [player] at TempPoint[1] facing Default..'
  • You don't remove TempPoint[1] after using it, and it's in a loop. This will leak, right?
The game is overall okay, but not an amazing game. There are the issues above that I mentioned. I think that increasing the vision of the prey or giving them a way to know that the hunters are on the way would be nice. The game seems to really discourage 'hiding' as the title suggests (the bloodhound ability reveals the locations of the prey. So if they are hiding, they'll die anyways) In my play through, the prey never won. Playing as a hunter felt somewhat boring. With only the ability to search for prey every minute, the game basically became running around and hoping to spot someone who was moving. Attacking objects that were stationary was just always a bad idea, since you are punished for it anyways.

I hope that what I have to say helps improve the game a bit. I think 'Hide and Seek' is maybe the wrong title :p Unless it undergoes a few changes. Currently, I'll give it a 3/5 :)

I agree with you that hiding is not the idea of the game. I should change the title, as it is so on purpose. Even so, I may make preys vision higher, as I agree with you that it is very difficult to stop before the hunter sees you. I could also create an ability for preys where they can see the location of the hunter or something like that.
In terms of appearing more keys, I may reduce the number of keys to be found by 1 and not 2 when a prey is revived in order to make the game more balanced.
Ghosts pinging their location: I will think about that
Hunters can be revivied as preys, yes.

The game discourages hiding on purpose. I should change the name of it, I agree. Also, discouraging the hunter to attack objects without knowing if they are preys is thought to be so. I agree it is very difficult for preys to win, maybe increasing ther vision, giving them some kind of ability to know where the hunters are and appearing only 1 more key each time a prey is revived could balance it.

I will try and update the map in the next days, I'm a little busy.
