Oak (variation 2)

I made this lowpoly tree set some time ago, but never got around animating it, so it was never uploaded. The texture is partially borrowed from the amazing open-source RTS "0 a.d" which i recommend you all to try out. Includes a full animation set which also features a swaying stand sequence. Enjoy!

I have a bad habit that i have to make sure of the things myself. ofc in the long run it is going to bite me in the ass but i like how it is and am fine with it. Anyways, if others also check and and find some error then the resource creator can act on it fast and it gets approved fast.

I see, you're a lil perfectionist :p No harm in that but take it easy :)
Yes, sometimes errors can appear unexpectedly.

Ya! u got it 100%. I was surprised. I AM a perfectionist. Ya that hampers me a lot in my real life. Have to nail everything again and again. Even for these trees model i made so many folders trying to manage them and deleted then 2-3 times until i tested them all.

with the different variations am I meant to just add multiple types of trees with the different model files or is there a way to link them to one so the variation can be adjusted to give the different models on one tree?

You can make them all variations of one tree. Just do it like this:

  • Import them with the names they have (numbers ranging from 0 to n)
  • Set the model path of the destructable to the same as the models, except without the number
  • Set "art - variations" to the number of models
  • Set "art - has lightweight version" to false
  • Done!

So in this case, you'd set the destructables path to "war3mapImported\oak.mdl" and variations to 3.
