he probably downloaded wc3 beta from internet, and used mpq extractor to get models from it. just my guess though..

Hmmm? I didn't know that the archers used to have more clothing in the beta xD At any rate, the model is a nice one, btw. Please link me a picture of the footmen, swordsmen and high elven archer, will you? I want to see them, might be just what I need. Thanks in advance.

That's role playing strategy, alpha stage of wc3. Damn it would be cool to experience the campaign from that aspect...

It doesn't work because it has particle emitters which use paths of non-existing models (units\nightelf\DruidOfTheTalon\FeatherPurple1.MDL and units\nightelf\DruidOfTheTalon\FeatherPurple.MDL).I changed them to default ones (SharedModels\FeatherPurple1.MDL and SharedModels\FeatherPurple.MDL), and it works now. Just to mention, this Druid lacks Spell Alternate animation(Casting Faerie Fire in bird form), because it wasn't added until the Frozen Throne. Also the provided texture of the "Raven" is unnecessary, since it is the same as the one in game.

This is the general cop-out answer for those who don't want to share for various reasons that are usually selfish. I bet he doesn't want to share because then others would post the models and steal his possible rep, either literal rep or figurative.

My question is where someone could have gotten the alpha/beta version of Warcraft 3 back when it was being made (like did Blizzard put out demos or have a website set up or what?).

He's just downloaded the beta, I've as well, it isn't that hard. Find it from internet and use mpq viewer to extract the models from the mpq to your map-
