NerubianWraith

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
These restless haunters were formerly Nerubian warriors that had been re-animated after their death from the Nerubian necromancers. Initially only certain warriors were re-awakened, but with time that changed and everyone got another chance, mainly coz they can march again as a large army.
The majority of their bodies is sacrificed during the awakening process for retaining the fleshy remains of the main body parts. Albeit existing in enormous numbers they're rarely seen. Most of the time they hide themselves in tunnels and trenches of the Nerubian, spider and undead kingdoms and very occasionally in haunted, deserted castles. Although not sensitive to sunlight, they still prefer to stay in the darkness!

Feel free to use this model in any imaginable way, including editing, if desired. No need to ask me for permission. Have fun with it!

Misha: Hmm.. could you try incorporating the portrait anims and camera into the main model? it'll certainly free up a slot for maybe a fancy attack missile or so. Also.. there is something between the rigid hunch and that stretchy neck that irks me.. try to make them all move together a bit.. and, further refining the design would make the creature look creepier. my suggestion are cryptlord wings.. but you could do so much more :p

Wow, creative, kinda, I see good use for this.

Replacing the Nerubian skin part with the crypt fiend does change the skin appropriate, doesn't it?

what's more scary than a giant humanoid spider? a giant humanoid ghost spider.
especially the awakened humanoid spider :p

voidwalker base, eh? i'd say that it could be optimized a bit if you got some loose bones that aren't attached to anything
Yup. Oh, ofc. Have been a bit out of practice and thought that MDLVIS's optimizer does that already :vw_sad:

Creepy....

Anyway, nice to see you are still around Uncle :D
That's what it's intended 2 be

Haha, ty :ogre_hurrhurr:

A crypt fiend shade/voidwalker! I like it!

I'll have to give it a 3/5, since it's pretty much average, but I still want you to know that I really like this.

I do think the particles are a bit too bright, though; they make it difficult to tell what it even is when it's seen at the typical unit scale in-game.
Ty :ogre_hurrhurr: i am not taking ratings as an insultion, they're honest oppinions (what i prefer)

I was actually thinking of making them somewhat darker/shadier-styled

Love the idea, but maybe you should make him appear more "wraithly" and purple

This is what I mean http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/3d-modeling-tutorials-282/creating-ghosts-18819/

Also make sure the skin is "purpleised" OR the transparent color should appear in teamcolor

Blue player=blueish ghost
ty :ogre_haosis:

I know what is meaned by ghostly, just change the filter mode of the skins to additive (other mods also work) I tried it before uploading but it applies pretty badly @ the TC-ed (teamcolored) parts of the arms. :vw_sad:

If you mean coloring it completely with a geoset animation, than the TC problem will be also present as it will over-color it as well :vw_sad: Such geoset anim colorations perform only well @ non-TC-parts and mainly on brighter colors, like the white sails of the ships.
