-changed the damage given to infantry by shells attack.
-removed south africa (eastern) as a selectable location.
-fixed some bugs.
-decreased the cost of balistic missiles.

Many things have been changed in the last version. 99% of septimus notes have been fixed (except of the intro, which i still find necessary). Many bugs and glitches were fixed, some systems were improved and some added.
Within them:
-Replaced the silos system with a better, more effecient one.
-Fixed many cosmetic bugs as well as major ones.
-Added a refresher trigger, every 4 minutes the map is refreshed.
-Changed the Ion cannon effect.
-Increased the starting treasure and the turn-based income.
-Improved the effectiveness of upgrades.
-Added cruise missile ability to the battleship.

Wow, nice use of models. Almost everything have custom skins. Well i played your map and found it interesting, a pity that there so little units. I also got stuck when i was looking for the radar...didnt expect the defensive engineer to have it. Some feedbacks: the bombers wont hurt the buildings and ICBM and Nuke must select a building else they wont explode (try exploding them on plain ground). Just wondering, it it meant for units to be so huge, like the aircraft carrier. While playing too, i got the feeling i played this somewhere before like ww3 but yours is much too plain. The intro was a tad too long too, is it needed for the game to stabilized? Finally, the creeps camp radius is rather short, i could kill them easily without taking any damage.
Well, on the whole good job. With a bit of improvement I am sure that it will attract more people. personally I'll give it a 2-3.5/5 but that just me.
Mental note: Septimus finds it inconvenient to review modern warfare maps (Prefers melee or cinematic as they are easier to review)

I'm glad someone made a comment at last. I'm happy you generally liked this ver, this was my intention. This is far from be the final ver, just an early beta. I'm working on a more advanced ver with many things fixed/improved, it will come to public soon.

There are plenty of things make this map uniqe, while the greatest thing is how this map puts all modern warfare concepts from almost all wc3 conquest-based maps in one map and perfect them (i hope). Some concepts are maybe not so uniqe for my map, but very rare amoung wc3 maps, such as balistic missiles, anti balistic missiles and fuel system for aircrafts. This is also one of the only maps in wc3 (not talking about maps from the strategy or even worse - modern strategy - genre) which is almost fully professionaly made (hot keys and description are almost perfect, and there are almost no bugs).

The autor of this map have worked hardly. But thear is meny other good games like Generals, tiberium wars, Company of Heroes this games ar effectiv then maps created by WE. I have played Supream Commander created in WE this is only seying about great capability of WE.

also I can geave you some recommendisation that will change your map and makes it diferent from athers.
1 It is not real that tanks or eny technic unit shoting 100% accurate. Make it artilary and geave chance to miss to all unites. About that AA tank unit, it must shot faster and and massy. Create a script that your AA tank shoots massy. I meen that rocets whas targeted near the target to.
2 The model of Scad (long range missale luncher) is ugly. If you can then make in shorter and biger.
3 I think you have se the Moveyes about war When tank is shooted bu other tank one time its krashes. The battles in your map is very long. Two thanks must shoot to ech other more then 1 minut that some one wil be killed.

[-] - Seems like the amount of territory could be increase by training some unit.
[-] - Construct Shipyard hotkey doesn't work.
[-] - Basilitic Silo attack that failed to detect enemy stay on the game, this is a major bug.

FIRELORD, ty for responding, but you barely wrote any comments.
Why is this list of bugs still in place? they are all fixed. The "bugs" you mention are not bugs (maybe only the typo mistakes and a hotkey or two, but be specific cause i fixed everything in this list long itme ago), balistic missiles only hurt land with an enemy, that's a major rule of the game's physics, not a bug.
And please give some commets about the game's mechanism and how things work, what is this list of (excuse me for the word) bullshit septimus wrote doing here? ;O

I found the terrain very questionable. Africa, Asia, AND AUSTRALIA all had tons of cactus... which should only grow in North America.

Maps hardly modern anyway, every piece of the map is populated by tiny little pockets of caveman society (all with their own tanks...?)

The idea wasn't imitating earth's geography and society, nor it's historical differences etc. The idea was to create a conquest-based startegy map, based on earth map (but there any connection to it's georgraphy ends, without focusing on cosmetic details too much) with MODERN WEAPONs. Not trying to be too realistic or loyal to reality, just trying to make a fun map to play. Try to play it with people, then leave a comment.

The idea with the upgrades of the income structures (towns, setttlements) is that it is NOT very profitable, it takes about 15 turns until you get your investment back. I did it to encourage people to conquer rather than upgrade, and it works. The advanced warfare, just like any otehr research, is in the research centre.

hmm the nuke silo shouldn't have a special effect of a nuke when you launch a nuke you should use the rocket launch model from war3c.org it would work alot better ^^

On another note...
It wont let me host this. it said file name is to long or has bad characters in it. can you help me?
hmm, i changed the file name to another games (that i know works') name and it wont let me host it there either... any suggestions?

Ok I've tried your map and must say it's on a good start, but there are some problems with it.

-You spelled luanch satellite instead of launch satellite, and anything launch related.

-It's basic stuff no faction bonus or any difference.

-If it's a modern warfare map how come there isn't any attack helicopters?

-Instead of doing basic tank, advanced tank do light tank and heavy tank, cause when you say advanced tanks people think it would be like a super tank or something.

-Those Genetic soldiers are so hard to kill, 5 of them vs 4 tanks (same number of upgrades) and yet they won maybe reduce there health regeneration rate a bit.

- What's the deal with the map revealed for 3 seconds?

-Not Geographically accurate (missing countries), but that ain't a problem that can be fixed unless you decide to restart on a larger scale.

I think that's all the problems I have found with the map.

I'll mass edit it sometime, fix spelling mistakes...
There are no faction bonuses, thats how its gonna stay, there are no factions and there will be none(as long as i'm the creator, if you want create your own version...).
There aren't attack helicopters beacuse there are so many other units, and i wanted every unit to be modeled, if i added more models the map would be much bigger (kobi_banan's model caught my eye..). Anyway, there are much units i would like to add, but i need to see the map gains popularity first, then i'll expand it.
Advanced tank heavy tank... christ the things you guys complain about...
The genetic soldiers are supposed to be super hard to kill, and tanks are not the thing that supposed to counter them. Use commando. It actually helps to read the armor/damage advantages/disadvantages. Plus, they cost rare resources, they cost a lot for infantry and the tech required for them is expensive too. They are super soldiers, that's the point.
The map reaviling every few minutes is a refreshing system, to see ech other's progress.
The map is already 255x255, can't add more countries (like japan for example), sorry. If the map is seriously popular gains popularity i'll create a 480x480 version, with a lot better terrain.
Anyway thanks for your feedback, a well built one.
 
this is the start of a long list i'm going to build up on this post...
1. Make anti missile turrets (upgrades) cost no rare resources
2. Make it so ion cannons cant hit satalite super computers
3. Make it so you cant just mass basic missiles and obliterate somone by sending somone somuch that they cant defend against them.
4. When you kill the super computer while its under construction it breaks the trigger so you cant see the map anymore.. fix this
5. Make it so u cant capture industrial plants cause u can jsut make them on ur border then they cant get in cause its basically invulnerable. also fix thier scaling
6. Make it so builders CANT kill trees cause its kinda strange being able to deforest land
7. Dont make the fire in the nuke thing without sight radius/food gain
8. Dont make nukes last forever or make a nuke dispel unit
9. Make it so nukes kill things instead of getting them to 1 health and make it so you cant build on nuked land
10. Make the starting cinimatic smaller.
11. Make nukes have like 99999 damage cause super defence towers can survive a direct nuke hit. then they are floating in mid air. and when you nuke ground on the shoreline it brings the shorline down to the sea. and peasents can stay there, hidden, underwater, in nuclear radiation
12. Remove the nuke crater
13. Nukes should turn any units that go into the radiation for like 3 seconds a zombie that belongs to neutral hostile and randomly kills things in the nuclear hit
14. Make it so nuclear artillery hits mechanical units
15. Make it so the -rename option is -name instead
16. Make a japan and a hawaii (i read ur last post, ur already going to do this :) )
17. Make industrial plants 9000 gold instead of 3000.
18. make super soldiars with a high attack speed but low damage cause this looks strange, a unit with an automatic rifle just shooting like once every 4 seconds, also make them good verses somthing then
buildings
19. Make the capture trigger having to do with unit health. or make it so when you kill a building it removes it and replaces it with an identicle one
20. when you pick north africa the creeps start off attacking you, fix this
21. And me and my friends agreed that it was better with the smaller amount of starting units. we would like them back :)

Ehm ok... Thank you for your detailed feedback.
A few points:
1. i agree.
2. Ion cannons are supposed to hit super computers/other ion cannon/nuke silos etc. You dont build an ion cannon to hit the enemy's barracks -.- That's why the high cost and long cooldown, people can buy a new super computer, buy their own ion cannon, and hit the enemy's ion cannon before the cooldown is cooled, and i did it many times. Ion cannon is luxury, if you can afford it then you can afford losing it, and so you do.
3. If someone can't open his eyes and and destroy the basic missiles' silos then he is worth dying. The range is so small that you shouldn't have much problem getting them down. Moreover, anti missiles cost less than basic missiles, which cost less than any other missile, i see no problem you build a good anti missiles defence.
4.I wasn't aware of that, will fix it.
5. I'm going to limit the number of idustiral plants you can build to 4, so no problem.
6. Never thought about it...
9. will do.
11. Ultimate towers are supposed to survive a direct hit from a nuke/ion cannon, this is why they are so ultimate ^^
13. A nice idea, but not very practical i afraid.
14. Will do.

3. and what i mean is that the balisstic missiles... like all of the anti missile towers near it will shoot so lets say you have 50 anti missile launchers in a big clump and somone sends 12 missiles in a small clump to you about 25 of the anti missile's will shoot the first 2 missiles then the rest will destroy everything in your base

yeah, but upgrading them costs half of a nuke in rare resources each....

3. What you are describing is an impossible situation. 50 launchers will cost more than any desturtable base, so if he chooses to waste his money on countless missiles, let it be. Plus, you got a point there, some launchers will hit the same missile, but speaking out of experience i tell you it usually DOESN'T happen that way, and i assure you - spreading your anti missiles wisely will prevent this unfortunate event. MOREOVER, you can easily choose to upgrade your missiles launchers rather than massing them, so they shoot multipile missiles down for sure, and at the end of the day - it costs less than massing. I thought about it a lot, and i know i did a good job with the missiles system, you just dont know that yet :D
Anyway, a player should open his eyes, if someone is massing silos next to his base he should counter it with his own missiles/conventional attack.
You dont conquer a huge land for nothing, spread your base all over your "big base", dont build too close, that's part of learning the game...

Brilliant map, loved it. Played it on LAN pretty nice until one player got so many bases so they won but that's how it should be :)

Just one thing the nuclear dummy, is a worker with locust, please fix because it get really annoying after a while that all your workers are doin something and still there are those human peasant icon showing at the spots where the nuke has gone down.
