Good idea to create a template about a modern city of these days however there is a problem:

You didn't really convey to me this feeling of modernity. The Cityscape tiles you used were created for terrains of old times and not for modern ones. You had to use tiles like this one, this one and probably even this one. Then, most of the terrain doesn't look really good. The modern buildings don't fit well with the tiles, making the whole terrain a bit strange. The terrain also lacks of more futuristic doodads and you could use better tree models instead of the boring default tree walls. Besides, all the green areas of vegetation lack of shrubs and bushes (most even lack of flowers). In addition, there are many parts that feel really empty.

In conclusion, the template needs more modernization and more improvements if it is to be successful. For now, I'll give it 2.5/5 and suggest the moderator to AWAIT UPDATE!

I wont do a full review on this one. Since it's a template.

Overall you lack decoration objects, with other words stuff to fill up the empty spaces.
However I like some of the ideas you have here, like how you did the houses at the water in the south east part. But it's still somewhat badly made.
You also use the Blizzard cliffs instead of the raise/lower tool, this greatly lower the terrain quality. There is a really good tutorial for this called "rolling shores" I think.
Use of better tiles could be very good too. (I suggest World of Warcraft RIPS)

I rate it 2/5 and vote for Awaiting Update

edit: also change the map title please, map city is kinda lame.

GENERAL
227608-albums7747-picture96703.png
Map City (Modern City V1.1) meets the bare minimum of it being acceptable as a terrain / template map, but that doesn't necessarily make the map a terrible one in the approved section. The map could be a useful tool to learn how to make modern landscapes, but it does need major improvements for the map to be a very useful tool or something to admire.
DESIGN
227608-albums7747-picture96666.jpg
The map does have an unusual layout for a modern city with all the water around, but most of the map didn't look too bland or empty.

Similar to the layout of the map, the terrain tile usage seemed a little unusual too. Yes, the tiles can pass for the theme 'modern,' but a map meant to be modern could definitely use more fitting tiles over some default cityscape tiles. Without the custom road tile, the map probably wouldn't be acceptable.

The cliff usage was on the weaker side especially in the natural themed. Those areas having ugly cliffs as natural coastlines aren't recommended. It's highly recommended for most maps that cliffs be ditched for height tool creations if the focus is being to make a map look better visually.

Overall doodad placement isn't the strong point of the map, but what did make up for it was the choice of models to use as doodads. Most of them are scaled fairly and placed in spots that look appealing. However, some spots are the duller side. It's usually best to fill it with something appealing. That something usually would be doodads. Need specific pointers to what make the map look more flourshing? Add some environmental doodads in the natural looking areas. Add some cars around the city. Add complementary doodads near big buildings.

MISCELLANEOUS

I suggest you update your screenshots for it to match the newer versions of your map. It also would make more sense to make one name for the map. Taking Chaosy's suggestion of changing the map name into something more appealing might also do you good!
