I agree how can you not know what midgar is...if your talking about what the model is for its obviously a building. BTW its nice but needs lower poly count like grey archon said.

It needs more of a texture, and if you want it too like midgar, make a seprate model without the sistar ray. It would look alot cooler.

i luv midgar so thanx (even though its actually a pretty useless model :roll: but newayz cool (u could use it as a building in a melee map ) could u make a midgar terrain and some midgar doodads ie. burned out buses, shanti buildings. btw the model should have the slums on it. also, make sum animations 4 it where one of the reactors has been destroyed

FF7 is no classic. Games like Doom, SMB3 and suchalike is.

Final Fantasy 7 was good, well, up until Aerith gets killed. After the Weapons break loose, the relevant story dies. All RPGs suffer from this (with the exception of Xenosaga Episode I).

PLEASE say you're making models of the 5 Weapons!

The term "Classic" for games means that they will be remembered forever about their greatness at the time they were created and sold. So yes, FFVII is a classic. Warcraft 3 is a classic. Tetris is a classic. and so on.

As for the model... Seems quite useless 2/5, 1 for the effort of putting nearly 7000 ploys together...

As for the model, looks bad because it is untextured (or at least looks that way).

no wormskull is right, 7000 is a whole lot of fuking polys. but for the model, it's awesomeness, it would be nice to have some textures, but we dont want the file to get too big. the only other problem i see are the spot lights, they look too solid and need to be a little more transparent.

yeah... glad they started improve bosses, since the easy completion of FF7. (and I know the game itself is far from FF standard, but the bosses in FF10 finally got very hard to beat :S Yunaleska and the Titan Aeons included)

btw. Titan Aeons vs Ruby and Emerald weapon vs Omega Weapon (the ff8 ver. in ff10 he is one of the easiest bosses) but whatever - the Aeons win :S which is fokked, please tell if anyone succeded in gaining ALL ultimate attacks for thier Aeon?

ey - I forgot to comment on the model yeah..... that could've been done better :? remember also: Its a TWO level platform, and the cannon isnt there before the destruction of sector 7 and kill the particles of the mako, make glow instead, but DONT add texture (as indicated by some ffwannaknow?)

Guys like this are one of the reasons why FF7 is an overrated POS, and isn't to be considered a true 'classic'. Hundreds of thousands of blinded, salivating fanboy lunatics oozing over the game to take a look at Tifa's pair of man-magnets.

The 16-bit era was the best game era. For instance, Chrono Trigger was, is, and will always be, 100x better than Final Fantasy 7.

I wont go into this further because it doesn't have much to do with the actual model anymore, which I think is wellmade.

About ff8, i remember being in the last dungeon, lvl 100, spending hours to kill one monster(lvl 100 too). The combat system really sucked. Not being able to kill one monster without summons...
FF9 is not on pc so...ADIOS
The reason i LOVE ff7 is just Sephiroth. THE BEST bad buy ever made.
And for the first 3d FF , i think it's not overating.
Ahhh so many hours spent in the gold saucer.
But i don't know if i'm more fan of xenogear or ff7.

i wouldnt say that, if everyone just played the game for tifa then they wouldve just looked on the internet for hentai. and why would they overrate the game if they didnt really like it. im sorrt you dont like the game but if a lot of ppl give it good ratings, that means they like it. and chrono trigger isnt 100x better than ff7, you think chronon trigger is 100x better than ff7. that is your opinion, not a defininte fact, and if you say that is is a fact, then you are truly an idiot. i wouldnt consider it a classic, but in ten years or so it probably would be since it was the first 3d final fantasy game on playstation. but one thing is right, some ppl are too obsessed with ff7, like the guy you were takling about.

yes yes whatever (and I dONT talk to much - in my oppinion I talk to little :twisted: mwaha) so FF7 IS considered the classic, yet (oh im so gonna persist on this :twisted: ) Square REALLY made an improvement on 8, I talk HISTORY WISE and CHARACTER PERSONALITY which 7 lacked badly, and its too damn easy - I dont know if this is true or not, but is THE REAL REASON why you like 7 over 8 the fact that 7 is CHIBI and MANGA, in an allmost scary degree and when I reached lvl 100, (which I never did in 7, simply because there was no reason OR enough exp to boot :x low levels monsters everywhere) I was able to rely solely on my fully upgraded weapons, which I gathered the raw materials from, in ALLMOST 'epic' fights against THOUGH and RARE monsters - unlike 7, where the average time of a fight was in between 10 and 20 seconds (sometimes done in 5 :? )

yeah, and I played both, yeah.... and I dislike the fact Aeris get out of the game, before I ever get a sence of 'relation' to her. This is never healthy, and the thruth he speaks, is often the fact that a specifik model/skin DOES have room for improvement, but as it is, none of theese model/skins on this site is absolutely PERFECT, and the fact IS that he in a large degree, underrestimate the work and effort put into the making of the model/skin (sorry wormie skullie, you brought this one on yourself, by standing out from the rest of us, per definetion) You see, his "apparent point of view" is; "if it aint handdrawn - screw it, whatever it looks! and if it aint perfect - it aint mine!"

The fact is the ff8 system sucks because it's too complicated.
FF7: ekip materia, weapon, armor
FF9: ekip weapon, armor and learn from them
FF10: ekip weapon, armor and (what's the english word??) make your path on the "spherier"
FF6: ekip weapon, armors, and learn magic from esper
So very simple.
FF8: ekip weapon?? an option.
Learn skills from gf,ok easy.
Use only 4 skills from them?????Urgh not cool.
TAKE A FUCKING LVL 100 WITHOUT 100 ULTIMA OR TRIPLE ON EACH SKILL AND SPEND AN HOUR TO KILL ONE MONSTER(lvl 100 too)That horribly suck.
FF7: cloud, 4attacks at 9999, 40000,easy.

I think that Chrono Trigger is a great same. I love FF7 too, but I didn't finish it yet if that's so hard to beleive. :shock:
