Ive seen loads of attachments of weapons, but does anyone actually know how to remove them? Im in the process of making an rpg and i was just wondering if its possible to take attachments off the actual War3 models, as i want to make it so that when you get a new weapon item, you can see it on your character. Kinda like Diablo. If this is at all possible please tell me.

removing attachments is easy... derrr  ... noobs... if your still using triggers to attach weapons your wasting lots of time... if you want to make attachments go away after droping the weapon use spell buffs instead of triggers. first go to the buff editor then make a new buff that creates a target attachment point to the left or right hand. then name it or whatever.. then copy the spell IMMOLITION and make sure its the item version. rename it to whatever you want. then make it do no damage, add the buff and remove the old one. then put the spell on the item that goes with the model. thats the way you do it  . the trigger way is harder. well i hope i helped.

I have no idea what he said about buffs. He needs to add puncuation....
If you give an item an ability that makes it look like the unit is holding it, all you need is a target effect. And if you're not good at triggering, just tell people not to have 2 weapons cuz it looks weird. If you ARE good a triggering, make the latest weapon override the previous one. :D
