Lacerate, Melee FX

Lascerate was made for use in my RPG that I'm making. I think it adds some nice flair to an otherwise simple attack. The birth animation is a ribbon-streaked orange-red color with some blood. Followed by periodic bleeding in the stand animation. Both of which are visible in the image, granted he has a few stacks of the periodic bleed on him. I think I tested this well enough to consider it a worthwhile upload, but it still may receive some updates and is welcome to anything someone notices as a flaw.

NOTE: This attachment is primarily intended for use on a units Chest.

I'm trying to get a little more involved in the community, but am being cautious about it since I'm fairly new to everything that's not map making and only have the Magos editor. But hopefully I can get some worthwhile resources to you guys!

Other: You may use and edit this model without my permission. Credits are cool but not necessary.

Updates:
12/17/17: Added Sound Effect to Model, collision sphere and a bone.
12/18/17: Also applied a soundless model to the bundle.
12/24/17: Added a one-shot effect where lacerate occurs on death instead.

A nice custom combat model effect. Works in-game and performs quite well. Good job.
How do I use this? I want this effect to happen when for ex: Halaberdier Stabs a Chaos Marauder

Also can u make a version with no sound?
Of Course Hazop, my original had no sound. I'll upload a soundless version to the site tomorrow.

To use the effect its really easy, the effect is intended to be placed on the victim. So when the manuever is cast, set the Special Effect Target to Lascerate.mdx, then set the attachment to chest and attachment points to 1. If you want to add a buff so the unit continues to bleed make an ability with a buff that uses the special effect Lascerate.

  • For Hazop
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Is attacked
    • Conditions
      • (Unit-type of (Attacked unit)) Equal to Fel Orc Raider
      • (Unit-type of (Attacking unit)) Equal to Swordsman
    • Actions
      • Special Effect - Create a special effect attached to the chest of (Attacked unit) using Lascerate.mdx
      • Special Effect - Destroy (Last created special effect)
      • -------- You may ask: Why destroy the special effect? This will remove it from the game after playing its animation, causing your game to use less of your computer resources, which since a halberdier may make many attacks would be important. --------
Here you go bud! Just substitute the units I used in the trigger with your own.

Hey Hazop, it appears I have made a mistake. I had told you to destroy the special effect, but this one has an invisible death animation meaning it makes it not work. Try again, but without the destroy special effect part. Obviously you will need to destroy the special effects. But skip that for the moment and see if it pops up. If it does that's great, let me know and I'll make you a personal version that will work when you destroy it.

Veronnis the Gore effect works well but only with vanilla models due to the fact of how your "Death" Animation isn't really there. Cause of this when I use Lacerate effect after the unit is long dead the effect is stuck there
